Nope
Wait your turn shitlord.
What the fuck were they thinking?
Why'd they remake Bloodbraid? I thought she was banned in modern.
...
>implying uncounterable can stop me
>play your entire deck due to cascade
sounds fun
even better
is your deck 7 cards?
also whats the point of small pox and tormoils crypt?
the point of the combo is to lose turn 1 and have absolutely nothing
...
but like why not just win
You can do that with just Lotus + Necropotence, user
Jund and Punishing Fire decks in legacy still run her.
>yfw there will never be a good online MTG game
Smallpox is to kill Leveler and the swamp
Crypt exiles everything
it would just be better than the actual game because cards wouldn't be super rare or impossible to get.
>2 drop
This a new deck for standered format?
>implying blue instants can stop me
but you still have crypt in your graveyard.
xmage
no you don't. crypt exiles itself.
...
Crypt is sacrificed, its ability goes onto the stack, then it resolves. It gets exiled with it
xmage is the best you can get currently but it's nowhere near a good software
you still have a 50-something card library and a graveyard in that case. this puts all 60 of your cards into exile.
but what does this card mean?
DODGE THIS
S E X A P E S
Sure
My Ormendahl actually got hit with this once
You just activated my trap card
>still have B floating
REEEEEEEE
replace Smallpox with this
I miss him...
Will this new set literally be yugioh? Egyptian god cards when?
There should a flip walker made after Yugi and Atem
how does that giant walk down those tiny steps without tripping?
Magic
yugioh cards make no fucking sense
Yugioh has the shittiest of all technical writers doing the text on their cards. Poorly worded doesn't even begin to describe this shit.
What hijinks are the Jacetice League going to get up to this time?
Nicol Bolas better watch out, Chandra will hit him with a fireball and wreck him.
Checkmate.
tip toes
>white border
literally who cares
come at me
It's a lot better than lazy copy and paste magic sets.
Even the least technically intensive yugioh decks shit all over the leapster tier game of babby magic gay shit have half your cards mana great card variety shit heads
>If I lose, I'll kill myself
I've had some games that ended with my opponent getting really pissed and making things awkward, but I don't think I'll ever see salt of this magnitude.
That combo isnt a monster though, binky boy.
His brothers life was literally on the line, he kind of had a good reason
ron!
>coherent rules are "lazy copy and paste"
kek
Yugioh is literally just juggling cards in between zones so you can get OTK's.
lol
yugioh is literally MTG for retards
>cards having more than one of a dozen effects is too complicated!
magic babes everyone
FAST PACED YUGIOH GAMEPLAY IS WAY MORE REWARDING AND FUN COMPARED TO THE SLOW FUCKING BORING DREDGE OF SHIT FUCKING NUMALE FEMINIST GAY MAGIC THE FAGGOT.
Literally how the fuck can't you understand that? Are you a third worlder or something?
>technically intensive
>check tournament deck list
>all but one of the decks in the top 16 are the same fucking deck
Which is what happens when you design a game so poorly that you have to completely negate every deck about once every year and a half because only one decklist is viable. Which also means everyone has to buy all new cards just to make their old ones playable again.
Great meta you have there bro. I guess "technically intensive" is just code for "game is broken as fuck because of poorly worded, needlessly complicated rules and no thought put into balancing any of it".
That printing is from Planechase which is a casual deck series for big casuals like me.
*blocks your path*
Is the text on YGO cards better crafted when it's printed in The Original Japanese Language?
your first post had some subtly but now you just went full retard. your shitposting needs a lot of improvement. how do you expect to get many (You)s if you blow it in two posts?
It's not that it's not understandable.
It's just really poorly worded. They could have said exactly the same thing in almost half as many words. Yugioh card writers also have this profane fetish for unnecessary commas and semicolons, often in places where they don't even belong. My grammar sucks balls but I'm also not trying to write rules for card games.
I can understand Twilight. But like Yugioh it reads as if you put the text into an English to Chinese translator site and then fed it back through.
it also got "reprinted" in one of the new commander decks
>make keyword for a global ability that some cards have
>continue to print the entire rule after said keyword
Would it not be better to simply put Cascade and assume players have read the rulebook? Or just not put Cascade on the card and leave the paragraph? Why have both?
Yes, the effects are sectioned by numbers. Of course they originally wrote it so it also just naturally works better for them.
I don't know by what method they choose what does and doesn't have flavor text, but if a card doesn't have it, might as well throw it's effect rule on for quick reference.
>>cards having more than one of a dozen effects is too complicated!
>magic babes everyone
LENTICULAR DESIGN
Have you ever made a game?
Magic cards without flavor text are like hentai without an obscure fetish scene. Disappointing.
OUTTA MY WAY ASSHOLES
I'm glad Magic's still around. I think I stopped playing right before Weatherlight or whatever the plot with the dude and his airship and crew got introduced. Lots of good times playing 4th edition and Ice Age in the band room in middle school.
Kid dressed up like the devil and went to the local game store's Halloween event. Wound up getting traces of red body paint all over his cards when he decided to play a game.
>cool story bro
Can anyone explain these hero cards or whatever they are with the +s and -s with numbers and special effects?
Those are planeswalker cards. Believe they came out with the set Lorwyn.
They come into play with counters in the bottom right. That's like their life, if they run out they're buried. While they're in play, your opponenet can attack them with their creatures, and if they damage you with a burn spell then they can redirect the spell to one of your walkers.
Once per turn you can activate one of the +/- abilities as a sorcery. The counters are added/removed as a cost.
Nice JTMS, asshole.
They're like a planeswalker partner. They usually have a plus ability and a minus ability with a high cost ultimate.
That +/- denotes their loyalty/life which they us to cast their minus abilities and as their life points. They can be targeted like a player can.
you choose one effect per turn, then it add or subtracts, you obviously can only waste points you have.
mws? cockatrice? what's wrong with those
Magic only puts descriptions of effects whenever there's space and they feel like the card doesn't need flavor text for whatever reason. It's not that bad of an idea, just put in descriptions every now and then to remind players. They have to fill the entire card anyways.
Remember when Counterspell was declared to be too strong?
Remember when Lightning Bolt was declared balanced and reprinted, only to be declared broken again next edition?
Fuck the monkeys who run this game.
Oh that's cool.
Well YGOPro is based on the games that Konami actually made and since they were good the software ended up being good. WoTC however, has not made a single good Magic game that can easily be copied to make a good card sim.
Theres a reason everyone loves Kaiba.
Ron, chuun dora ichi, atamahane desu.
>mfw I keep winning locals with cleric tribal
>It's a lot better than lazy copy and paste magic sets.
It's really not.
The kind of design you see in yugioh is a hallmark of bad design. Everything is an extremely strictly designed, unclear mess that's only designed to do a very specific thing in a very specific situation. Hell, half the modern cards refer to other cards by name and you can't use them anywhere else.
If you seriously think that's better design, more diverse, and more interesting than cards that are all unique but are less strict and can be played in any way you find to put them together, I'm sorry but you're an idiot and you have zero perception of proper game design.
>tfw I bought my Death's Shadows when they were only $6 each
And they told me it was a bad idea. Still have no clue how to fucking play this deck, though.
...
?
Hold up.
O fug I need to get me four of these.
it's a one turn lose.
black commits suicide
I want to get into a TCG. I want to feel like a wizard zapping motherfuckers and shit. Which one should I go with?
Heard YGO was unbalanced shit or so. With MTG, you have to renew your deck every 2 or so years.
Eh, it depends on if you want to do tournaments and shit. Magic is fun for all the wacky interactions. that might be illegal
yeah but you responded to a post that was identical to yours
...
Please never post about MTG ever again
I haven't played Magic in awhile. What does Transform mean? What does this land have to do with the creature on right?
Wait, That shit got reprited?
It depends entirely. also TCGs are designed to suck your money so if losing loads of money in a year in card board then have at you.
if not, has you considered to play an LCG/ECG?
if you want to "start" in any card game then Magic is a decent choice. Standard is where shit has to be "rotated out" every couple of years, Modern and Legacy is where almost all the shit is legal and will remain legal until the end of time. Commander is casual and chaotic fun, I suggest you to look up for this one.
They're at least working on a new one now to replace MODO
