marketing, Rockstar actually did a proper job at crafting a detailed, psychologically-sourced character. His every little quirk and """"random"""" motivations all have hints placed somewhere over the course of the game that thread an explanation for them, if you've been paying attention. Like the character design or not, that doesn't matter, you can't argue that he's the most three-dimensional character in the entire franchise.
