The main gimmick needs the gamepad, and the switch can't actually have the tv and pad in use at the same time, so a sequel on switch is pretty much impossible. Maybe they can find a way to have you draw with the joycon pointer controls, but that feels really forced.

Hate to break it to you but the Wii U was more powerful than the 360, can't say about the PS3 though because it's completely different architecture but studios like Naughty Dog did some pretty cuhrayzee things with it.
