Berserk Video game

Is this show any good? Also the game just came out.
Should i watch the anime before playing it?

Berserk is only good for the manga.

Literally EVERYTHING is below that in terms of quality. If you're interested in Berserk start with the manga and read through it. Or if you're a lazy fuck, just watch the OVA.

the remade show is shit. watch the original, but you won't get much in terms of story since it's only one arc. it was basically a manga commercial at the time.

the new game is also fucking shit btw. the older ones (Dreamcast and PS2 iirc) are okay.

I heard that the cutscenes aren't very good and there's too much gameplay.

The game is just another musou, so if you like musou and/or Berserk you'll like it.
Also watch the old anime first.

The musou game actually changes a lot of things in the manga just to make it work as a game, its not canon

All the art, cutscenes and animation was done by a third party company in vietnam and china

Let me add only buy this game if you are some hardcore weeaboo berserk fan cuckboi otherwise movie on since its depth is a much as you'd find in a movie tie game.

The game is censored for the west, some costumes are removed, movie scenes are made with the edited versions black censors and sex scenes are cut out

if i swing a 300 pound sword through someone I expect them to be cleaved into two or more parts, no be thrown 5 feet into the air with a pixelated blood splatter.
why couldn't the combat be more like the blade from prototype. It would make more sense in a berserk game to have combat like in prototype cause when guts takes on normal humanoids he butchers them like in prototype, but when fighting big monsters it usually takes multiple swings, just like prototype

The only game that really matches the mood of the manga is Dark Souls. The earlier part of the Manga that is

Demons Souls has the Dragon Slayer (Dragon Bone Smasher), Slab of Iron description and everything

Allant is an obvious Griffith "reference", the atmosphere of Demons Souls is alot closer to Berserk than Dark Souls

The plague babies have the same design as Guts' demon child I could go on but I'm lazy
