With the 1700X at 450€ online here, which is 70€ more expensive than an I7 7700k, I don't see Intel dropping their prices any time soon.

source? becuase i'm pretty sure the r7 1700 (non x) was only 5 frames behind a 7700k in the only leaked game benchmark so far. the reviewer even said if they were compared side to side he wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
