>per CORE voltage modification >can disable individual cores >can OC individual cores, all cores >alternatively, can undervolt certain cores while keeping others high, akin to big.Little without the clustering >OC profiles under a keybind, can switch to all/single/multiple core OC with a button >doesn't need restart
>use all 8 cores for work >use only 2 cores OC to 5ghz for gaming
how will intel EVER recover?
IT
IS
OVER
AMD WON
Elijah Collins
Praise Ryzen. We need to make PC gaming more affordable so everyone will leave consoles, or at least force sony and microsoft to innovate(At least nintendo is doing something interesting)
Jose Hall
Also new single thread performance benchmarks leaked
Ryan Gomez
>AMD CPU that apparently isn't shit for gaming Is this real?
Liam Evans
>no gaming benchmarks whatsoever no, it's not real. Not yet anyway. Remember the FX series? Blew everyone the fuck out in non-gaming benchmarks. Then it was the shitshow we saw.
Landon Thomas
Delete your post now and you can still be allowed on the winning side. DELETE YOUR POST INTEL IS DEAD AMD WON FUCK OFF
Noah Williams
I own an AMD CPU senpai. I want Ryzen to be good, but everyone hyped because of synthetic benchmarks is a retard.
Carson Powell
I bought a i7-6700 for 300$ 2 weeks ago when i build a new pc to switch my 7 yr old toaster. I'm not gonna sell it or buy a ryzen right away. I will sit in the fire and see how things will turn out.
Mason King
I really hope it turns out okay, Intel needs competition
Hudson Morales
Only in multithread
FX never had good single thread benchmarks, Ryzen does. What's come out so far indicates that at stock speed it's basically as good as any Intel in single thread.
Now factor in the new OC tool that lets you disable cores so you can get higher speeds on others and you'll get a CPU that will BTFO Intel in both single and multithread
Xavier Robinson
Overclocking aside, what would be the use of these features?
Parker Phillips
>buying a new PC literally weeks away from new product launch
How dumb are you? If you're this close to a launch you should always wait and see.
Nathaniel Fisher
IKR? I had no idea AMD gonna release new series of CPU these weeks.
I havent watched the news
James Barnes
If you disable say 6 cores you create a lot of headroom for having a huge OC on the remaining 2.
So let's say you play a game that doesn't multithread well. You disable 6 cores and bump up the remaining 2.
Luis Hill
Disable 2 cores and get better overclocking on the other 4, disable 4 and you pretty much got a G3258 with AVX.
Sebastian Parker
Surely this has to be a scam. Driver support has to be shit for this to happen?
Asher Williams
>builds PC >doesn't do a minute of research
lol
Asher Wood
>CPU drivers
Ryder Gonzalez
>these weeks. it is this week actually, thursday the day. benchmarks NDA most likely tomorrow this time
Isaiah Garcia
what about the r5 chips
i don't care about top of the line performance all i play are weeb games on steam
Nathaniel Barnes
>AMD GPU >AMD CPU >AMD SSD >AMD RAM
Time to paint it RED!
Josiah Ramirez
>amd cucks every year acting like they won >always some bullshit comes up and proves them wrong >they go back into hiding for 8+ months then pretend like its okay to claim the same shit again
wasnt it some stupid video card gimmick you fags claimed was death of nvidia before?
we get it, youre poorfags, but really now, stop pretending games even remotely utilize multithreading properly
Christian Walker
Red and black ain't Soviet color scheme.
Logan Diaz
Read up on 30s, black and red is the soviet color scheme.
Connor Rodriguez
Cool, hopefully it will force Intel to push more than 4 cores into mainstream. That way I can both have more cores at the same price and not support AMD.
Ryan Edwards
So how does it work?
I can put 2 cores on 4.5GHz and 6 cores on 4GHz? And it will work without any problems whatsoever?
Julian Sanders
yes
Joseph Ramirez
without rebooting or BIOS, it's basically like OCing GPU from now on
Joshua Moore
so i could disable all but one or two cores and underclock them for less power consumption?
if this can reduce power consumption to around 10 watts and works flawlessly on linux i am excited!
Lincoln Evans
in case you were wondering how bad intel gets destroyed in multithread
Jace James
Chipset drivers.
Joseph Hernandez
If only games used 8 cores i would care.
Luke Miller
You are aware the new gen consoles use AMD 8 core CPUs right?
Devs have been pretty much forced to develop multithread games.
The "you don't need more than 2 cores for gaming" is an outdated meme
Parker Turner
So what exactly is multithreading used for? I'm not good at computer but as far as I know, games aren't optimized for that mostly.
Andrew Parker
That's actually pretty cool. Intel was trying to do something like the big-little idea automatically in firmware, on newer boards only of course, but I think they ended up abandoning it or almost no one supports it. AMD delivers in an inbuilt manual way, and it's probably more relevant. Pretty good.
Eli Martin
Outdated meme. That was true when shit like Skyrim came out. Not today.
