Are you guys too not giving rats ass about story and just having fun gameplay wise?
Horizon Zero Dawn
Not really. Open world games are dull as shit.
even gameplay wise the game is shit.
aimng with controllers is so bad you need both auto-aim and slowmo to even hit anything.
Git gud
>it's fun xDDDD
>it looks nice OwO
>this is what the shilling boils down to now
But the gameplay is ass
This could have been Monster Hunter with robot dinosaurs but instead they focused on the dullest type of combat ever
I never thought that I'd have to say this about Horizon but git gud. Have you never held a controller?
Well, it is fun.
if liking a game that Sup Forums doesnt like is shilling, then there would be nothing to play.
You are fighting two creatures there right? It isn't jumping out of the ground before it is fully burrowed?
There are two Rockbreakers there.
>But the gameplay is ass
This is wrong. This is probably the best open world combat and gameplay since Dragon's Dogma.
I thought so but they kinda synced up and it looked weird
You have some shit opinions
Go shill this garbage somewhere else
Yea, pretty much. I'm at level 44 and my main quest it like 15 so I'm gonna catch up with that now. Also, the photo mode, man.
>there's a cauldron nearby
>it's Zeta
>there's no puzzles, just a bunch of supply crates and healing herbs
>"well damn this is just going to have a Thunderjaw at the end of it, isn't it"
>It is
That was a little disappointing, hopefully Xi is better.
Neet.
Gotta love the photo mode
Yup. Im kinda sad now because I've got all the collectibles and hunting side quest done so now I actually have to do the main quest
>Git gud
>in a console shooter
>in a game where you cant even die, no matter how bad you are
why whould a play a shooter with a controller when you can use a K/M? you retards never cease to amaze me.
Did you try hacking a Thunderjaw? It's fucking hard, as soon as you get close, they spot you, and I wanted to hack one to watch him fight the other one that was in the area, but ended up fighting 2 Thunderjaws. Shit was fun as fuck holy shit. 2 Rockbreakers isn't though, fuck those things.
Yea, man, I love doing these action shots. She died immediately after this one, but it looks fucking awesome.
I'm enjoying the gameplay, but I actually like a lot of the story and characters.
Pretty much my only complaint is some of the animations and the human enemy AI.
Did you see user's reaction image? He is laughing so hard at you.
>This is probably the best open world combat and gameplay since Dragon's Dogma.
>Not playing on very hard
Cherrypicking pre-release footage
>Horizon
Nigga I'm playing Nier I don't got time for Far Cry ripoffs.
>I only have time for the best no substance generic weeaboo baby tier button mashing experience I only bought to jerk off to fanart for
Really activates the almonds.
Pretty much.
The photo mode is pretty neat.
The fact you feel the need to respond, let alone cherrypick proves my point.
This game having good combat and gameplay just fucking bothers some of you. I love it.
I just spent 2 hours dicking around fighting robots in the desert. Not to say the story isn't good I'm just taking my time
>using spear to attack
That would be like using fist in DD
Im playing both. Switching between them. Got ending A today.
I thought I was going to be sad about the enemy variety but they've paced introduction to new ones pretty well.
Feels like I see something new right when I need too.
Try liking good games in the future, friend.
I love the combat smacking shit with the spear feels good with the controller rumble
>I only play games that put graphics above all else which tanslates to a boring game full of repetitive rolling combat
The grass doesn't even react to the player running through, that tech has existed since at least 7 years ago with RDR. Game only impresses dumb people.
Love the wight on the critical hit.
Now I just need to mod my spear so it actually does some damage.
play the game next time before you start talking out ur ass
Heavy attack feels pretty sluggish, feels like she is waving greathammer or something.
but I am already doing just that
Congrats on picking a video of a low level character with no perks spamming the attack like an idiot. I could show low level gameplay from any game like that and it would look like shit.
but you couldn't show us high level gameplay huh
Yeah because it feels like the story takes a permanent backseat after the massacre
No I dont make videos but you can find it on youtube the person in the Webm is fucking level 4 with no perks or upgrades acting like that is how the game plays. Its clear the people shit posting watched the first 10 mins of streams saw gameplay like that and shit post about it
Here ya go.
>replying to yourself
>2017
looks like zelda-kun has arrived
>Being so cool you can bypass combat all together
Never saw the point in doing that. Unless you're on your way somewhere else and you want to avoid wasting resources and possibly taking damage by just overriding, it's a really boring way to play.
I just got to the Carja area and about shit my pants when I ran by a Thunderjaw. I'm guessing I'll be fighting skyscraper sized robot lions that shoot smaller bus sized lions by the end of the game.
it does look pretty good for being on limited hardware, but the art direction is kind of what is off putting for me. Every time i see it in action and different pictures, the landscapes and settings just seem so bland. Like a been there done that sort of vibe. Still, the whole robot dinosaurs shtick is cool and I would play it just for that.
One of them looks like something out of Mechwarrior.
making the robots kill each other is pretty fun.
The combat doesn't rely on pixel perfect aim so it is not a big deal.
The core gameplay is to disable or kill enough enemies that you can fight without getting blindsided.
Laying a tripwire doesn't need slomo and aimbot.
>The combat doesn't rely on pixel perfect aim so it is not a big deal.
Um...
How the fuck did they go from killzone to THIS? I'd rather them make a sequel to horizon and just forget about killzone all together.
Good news for you then.
A sequel is inevitable at this point.
Im enjoying both the story and gameplay so far, althought I barely advanced the main quest(level 30 and havent find olin). Planning to face today a behemot and stormbird for the first time, any advice?
>stormbird
Bring a mount.
>scrapper
Despite that particular quest being one of the first that you get even before becoming a seeker, scrappers are laughably easy. They're small enough to be knocked down with the base heavy attack, and can be insta-killed with the downed stab ability.
What that pre-release footage on easy mode doesn't show is the two other scrappers fought in that area at the same time.
I did side quests and exploration stuff and now I'm doing the main quest. I like the story and when Aloy entered the All mother cave and she looked behind her I got a bit emotional too.
>more robos
I would love to see a spinosaurus in the sequel
You can shoot the canisters from strealth, you can lay explosive or stunning trap, you can shoot stunning arrows, bolts or ropes and you can wait for it to pass and shoot it in the back if it is fleeing.
Hunter Bow in that situation is just a sub optimal weapon.
KZ isn't even bad. They did a lot of things right with the games. Problem is that the writing sucks shit and that you don't play as the Helghast.
>not playing on at least hard with aim assist off
Fuck me, hitting a tiny ass weak spot in the middle of a fight gives me the biggest fucking boner.
that's a nice hitbox
Or you could save time and resources and shoot it, if you're good enough.
Either way is good fun.
I think the story is fine. Enjoyable.
I do like the story, but I'm doing a bunch of open world stuff as well
So far i think my favorite thing is clearing out bandit hideaways
I would if only she would shut the fuck up, seriously every 10 seconds this bitch has the need to talk and I'm fed up with that bullshit.
Gameplay wise is fun but the characters are insufferable.
Are there any dinos with feathers? Because dinos have feathers.
Ya I know, killzone 2 multiplayer was god tier. I just think compared to horizon, killzone just looks uninspired. I'm only 10 hours into horizon but already I care more about this world then I did killzones,
the first 4 hours is the most dialogue heavy
That's because you don't play as the Helghast. They've been wronged and GG still tries to sell the ISA dogs as the good guys.
The main story is alright but the lore is pretty fucking solid though
I'm at the part when you see the first Long neck and I'm about to drop this game I swear to God
Thats true lol I wouldn't be mad if they announced killzone 4. I feel like shadowfall was rushed out for launch so they need a longer development time
>shit opinions
>therefore its shilling
Fucking Sup Forums
Oh ya thats still pretty early on it only gets better
Damn, I'm at the part where all the Nora bow before me. Feels fucking good you shitty savages.
I've been playing on hard and I'm at level 10 currently. Am I supposed to feel this poor? All the good stuff in vendors is like 1000+ and I've got only 580 metal parts despite going out and hunting striders, getting tons of watcher eyes, etc.
At the start? Yes. you should be spending your shit upgrading your carry capacity. By the time you reach the Carja city you should be swinging around a 10,000 mental scrap purse though.
Don't be afraid to sell of tons of your junk.
Most of it is pretty common, and all the stuff you need for purchasing outfits and weapons are rare and marked as such.
Also don't forget to get capacity upgrades for your resource pouch.
The more shit you can hold the more you can sell.
Aside from the graphics this game is fucking garbage.
You can pretty freely sell anything that isn't animal parts.
You get less resources on hard mode so yea. Just save up your shards by using stealth and critical hits to your advantage
Every merchant has a free sample pack with a handful of scrap in it.
After you become a seeker, search around for the bandit camp and clear that out. The merchant who sets up afterward has a scrap gamble box, where you can either get more or less scrap than you paid for it. Also, you can do the hunting challenges for the nora area real easy, the quest only requires you to complete the lowest tier, which is 20 minutes.
Aside from the nothing you're fucking garbage.
Yeah, I guess it's because there's so much crafting I don't know what exactly is worthwhile to hold onto. So pretty much the only stuff I sell is something that isn't listed as a crafting component.
What do you want to see in the sequel?
Obviously different dinos, a better climbing system, cooking.
MORE LIKE
BORIZON
...
More melee options.
I panicked.
Melee weapons, overhauled stealth and better outfit system.
>Stormbird still has all of it's thrusters
Take out your tearblast and shoot that shit off.
>Became a seeker at 6 hours in
>Now at 11 and a half hours in
>Haven't gone to meridian yet
So much optional stuff to do in this game.
>SJW game
>Awful gameplay
No thanks.
How is this an SJW game?
Gosh darnit I just love killin'!
SJWs hate it because she's white and culturally appropriating Injun culture.
