Plays pretty bad
I've only played an hour, but it's pretty fun.
>he died in the tutorial area
just wait til you get farther in, buddy
it gets even better. it's a fun game that you'll enjoy
Fought that cyclops right at the beginning spawn right after I got my class and sword. He killed me when he stumbled and fell on me, was an awesome gameplay movement, really didn't expect that his fall down animation would cause damage. Great design.
DaS2's models seem a little more "cartoonish" and the textures range from good to muddy to obviously repeating, but I do prefer it to DaS3's "everyone's a hatchet-faced uggo and the textures were dipped in oil". Pity we never did get the pre-release lighting/ textures in Scholar, though.
I don't know if this is a bait thread but I actually agree. The lighting is great, and I love the autumnal color palette with lots of oranges, greens etc. Amazing game all around, had a lot more fun with it than the first honestly, but both are excellent.

Good to know there's a hitbox on that right-handed bitchslap
Not going to lie as much as I am not of fan of DS2 it looks really good. I just hate the controls and consumable health items.
Not even memeing, Dark Souls 2 arguably has the best gameplay in the series.
(You)
I never got too far in it its just that I liked the old system of hollowing and healing over this one. And for some reason my character will push and kick when I want him to slice
...
Stop holding forward when you attack. There's a ring that limits the hp loss from hollowing, but I agree it's a shitty mechanic.
I died to this boss the most out of the entire series, did the exact same thing as this guy and got naked and rolled about
The new Nier game reminds me of Dark Souks 2, heavily flawed game that gets good reviews regardless because they realized the series had a cult following
Its the psychological damage from experiencing such a near miss
