I am sick of this game. It's just catching and grinding with nothing else to do. It's an extremely shallow game. Nonneof my friends are playing and I've only seen pogo drivers. I actually just started playing after getting a new phone. It's not even close to special but it is rather cute, and sort of amusing to just catch pokemon in weird places and on top of people. Wish it had been an actual fucking game, though.

It's an ok distance tracking app. Makes going outside have an extra excuse.

I really hate the combat but the other day I ended up with a couple of friends at a bar that had a red gym level 10 on it and we just destroyed it in no time, that was superfun.

And now that gen 2 is in and weather is getting nicer it's fun again to hang at the pier with people that also play. I joined a local chatgroup of pogo and they are quite active, I see them here and there.
The thing with this game tho is that no matter whan your personal objective with it is, you are probably going to get frustrated. Me and my friends have walked a lot and oppened a lot of eggs but none of us still has a lapras, and getting other mons like Snorlax and Dragonite is absurdily RNG/autism based. Also some shitmons are quite hard to get outside of events. In my area it's near impossible to see a Drowzee, Tangela or Chansey for example.

If I was playing it alone I would've given up probably after the first month.

My battery dies incredibly fast and I keep forgetting to get a cordless charger. Not to mention I dislike the gym battle system so my only purpose is to walk around and catch, which when you have school doesnt give you much free time to do that.

i enjoyed it last summer cuz there was a spot with three pokestops at our library where you could sit and be in range of all 3, so there was a 50-man lure party going at practically all hours of the day. my friends and i all agreed that it could only ever be fun when you could chill and talk to other people while playing, cuz the novelty of catching your 50th pidgey / nidoran / mankey / whatever wears off dramatically.
