I'm on the fence about buying this guys
I already have a PS4 and a good PC, should I really drop 300 for a switch or is it gonna be another Wii U?

sales are well beyond what the Wii U was at this time, Nintendo is internally gearing up for Wii tier sales
It has one game on it, and will only have 2 games by the end of the year, just buy a used WiiU if you want zelda
wait for the New and improved SwitchXL for a glass screen, new tegra processor, and not shitty ergonomics
Wait until the end of the year unless you really want to play Splatoon 2 at release.
No. Stop wanting to spend your money on things you don't need.
And if you have to come to an anonymous imageboard for purchasing decisions, it's obvious to everyone that you are really bad with your money.
300 dollars would be better spent on video games considering you can emulate BOTW for free on PC
If you're worried just wait until E3.
The launch version is pretty fucking busted. If you really want one, you should wait until the beta test phase is over and they release an improved version.
Splatoon 2 will probably be really fun to play at release though. You'll miss some splatfests.
What games would you spend it on it you're already pirating games? You've broken the seal, why stop at botw?
so you got a
>multiplattform machine
>sony exclusive machine
do you like Handhelds and Nintendo exclusives then buy it?
Are there any worthwhile games that even run at a decent frame rate on that thing? Ideally a solid (NO DROPS) 30fps or a mostly 60fps?
I own a PS4 and good PC and bought a Switch because it's something different.
I agree, it was a really stupid argument.
I was pretty skeptical about it but I ended up getting one anyway because I never learn and I'm a sucker.
It's REALLY cool tech and I see a lot of potential with it. Definitely feels like I'm beta testing right now, though. If they actually make games for it it could definitely be fantastic. If you got the money and don't mind the fact that you're buying first gen tech I'd go for it.
It's not like yo'ure going to be able to buy it anytime soon. Gotta wait.
As of now the console is very minimalistic but damn, would I be lying if I didn't like the features we used to have with cartridges and the way this console is designed with the functionality of older consoles in mind.
> low power usage
> lots of local multiplayer in mind
> quick start up
> game is played directly from the cartridge
> Games start up quick
> can be taken to a friend in sleep mode and can be instantly turned on with the game instantly running.
That being said, I got the Switch for less than it is now due to the demand after the day one reveal. Get the switch after a few months or a year if you like the games.
>buying a switch
For what games?
>or is it gonna be another Wii U?
I honestly don't think so. It doesn't seem to have a massive game drought as far as we know. It took the Wii U 2 years to get decent games. Switch is getting decent looking games year 1 and even day 1.
It will all go well as long in terms of games as Nintendo does not dare to release an entirely different system (3ds successor) to support.
But since it basically is a handheld, happening is pretty much a possibility. Expect a hardware revision next year, don't be saying you got fucked for not taking that into consideration. Plus by then they'll likely have a decent bundle and some discounted games and eShop sales.
It won't even come close, nor with it beat either current gen consoles
There are no games on it atm and the console has tons of design flaws. In couple of years there will be a new improved version with a good selection of games. There is literally no reason to buy it now.
