>one good game (DR2)
>two good games and one good spinoff (AA, T&T, AAI2)
>two good games (999 and VLR)
>three good sound novels (Episodes I-III)

No, I'll play VNs until they stop making them, and then replay them some more.
>no professor layton

DUDE IT'S ALL FICTION LMAO

DUDE COMPLEX MOTIVES LMAO

DUDE WITHOUT LOVE IT CANNOT BE SEEN LMAO

So I shouldn't play any of these games then?

BEATRICE IS A MAN

I like both Umineko and dang it grandpa, what does that make me?

Gonna need to know what the last one is

You shouldn't play Umineko. Everything else is pretty great.

Without love it cannot be seen.

>Shouldn't play Uminek
>But you should play ZE and DR
What the fuck are you smoking, dude

>missing the joke

Something a lot better than whatever R07 did when he wrote that shit

I'm about to start a VN for highly intelligent people. Nekopara. Is it any good?

What is with the sudden increase of Umineko threads?
I swear some months ago there were no threads in months, and now there are every single day

It's shit but enjoyable, if you know what I mean.

No Hotel Dusk?

Primates.

Really have to try and remember it exists

Think it's the fact that it got released on Steam some time ago.

Prove magic doesn't exist right now.

what got you into visual novels Sup Forums?

I think for me it was a mix of Ace Attorney and persona 2

...

I like all the ace attorney desu

Does Umineko have any actual mystery solving or is it just a bunch of mentally deranged people] arguing about closed rooms and whether magic exists of not?

And you should, they're all great games, even Apollo Justice
What you shouldn't like, however, is l'ebin fee fees mom issues blonde and her non-story

You don't actually solve anything yourself, if that's what you mean.
Which is fitting since you are incompetent.

Bad guy claims magic exists because closed room murders happened
MC REEEEEEEES at her and claims that he can explain them, and if he does there is no basis for her claim
There ar also plenty logic battle moments
It even has a pursuit theme
youtube.com/watch?v=tICKoZ18zHk

>AA below Zero Escape

I don't get the popularity of Ace Attorney. The trials and rules behind them are so stupid most of the time, which in a game that's based around logic and solving cases kinda destroys the point.

Welcome to Japanese courts.

Whats the portrait?

see

>Zero Escape below Umineko

youtube.com/watch?v=hU_vECs4i10

>american legal system doesnt take testimony from ghosts and parrots

WTC 5 WHEN?

SoonTM

Probably Comiket Winter. Might see some sort of trailer during Comiket Summer.

The Umineko fighting game was kinda cool. I don't give a shit about the Visual Novels though

Every time I remember Umineko I just sort of sigh and scratch my head.

Soon
R07 said in an interview that he didn't know if he wanted to make WTC5 as a VN again, and that it could be manga

>ps3 sprites
This needs to stop

is umineko a meme visual novel? my friend is in love with it but it seems very mediocre

It's honestly pretty good. The ending is pretty fucking controversial and polarizing, though.

It's babby's first Japanese mystery

>Longer than war and peace
>Longer than 120 hours
>Over 180 songs
>Voice acting
>Mediocre
Jesus user
I'm not saying it is a masterpiece, but it is certainly something else

>>Longer than war and peace
So is Fallout Equestria, does that make it any good?

All right, rev up those torrent links guys. please
Last time I searched for a download of one of those style of games I got spoiled

I love the VN and as a fighting game player, I wouldn't have played ougon if it wasn't about Umineko. As a game it's meh at best, it's only really good for the fanservice.

PS3 sprites are perfectly fine.

It's pretty weird. While I was reading it i was mad at it for doing some dumb stuff. I can find some of my posts where reading it where I say that even if he somehow managed to explain things it would still be dumb and how I was kinda disappointed.

After finishing it, it became my favorite VN and one of my favorite works of fiction ever made. It has some flaws for sure, but after seeing the whole picture, i think the flaws just pale in comparison to what Umineko is.

Alright lad. I'll try and find something.

First off, you have two choices. Standard version or Umineko Project.

Umineko Project is a straight port of the PS3 version, made from the ground up. It looks like this. youtube.com/watch?v=gLu-WU3SIjQ and their site is here umineko-project.org/en/
Be advised though, it's only the first half of the game, since Chiru hasn't been ported yet.

And here's the standard verison: mofumoe.org/content/umineko-no-naku-koro-ni-1-4-ps3-sprites-voices which is the first one and then there's chiru here mofumoe.org/content/umineko-no-naku-koro-ni-chiru-5-8-ps3-sprites-voices

>it's long so it's good

Was Justice Wargrave a witch?

Umineko project is shit
>Rokkenjimagate

you seem to keep posting an incomplete chart so I finished it for you, OP. no need to thank me

>Chicken sandwich simulator
>good
lmao

>people think they're sherlock holmes or some shit for being able to progress down a plot tree
lmao

But DR2 was better, at least if you disregard what DR3 did to it.

Is Danganropa really that shit? I've done everything else including Umineko. Or do I have the stomach for bullshit at this point?

^This

Ever17 only had one good route (true ending) which was Zero Escape/top tier. Everything else was so padded out with Hide and seek, Kick the Can and eating Chicken Sandwiches

Remember11 was a better game overall, yes the ending is divisive, but everything else: pacing, tension, story elements, was near-perfect

Is R07, Kodaka and Uchikoshi the holy trinity of hack mystery writers?

DR1 is pretty shit
DR2 is saved by an absolute madman of a character

It's shit in the mystery department, its a different type of enjoyment

They're okay but get a bit too batshit insane for their own good. The mysteries themselves are usually pretty fun but the plot outside of those is just stupid.

The story is ok, but the gameplay feels a little like a chore.

You'd probably like it well enough regardless.

It's enjoyable. I didn't like the first one too much but I played the second one and enjoyed it enough to sit through that abortion of an anime. Don't know about V3 because I don't speak moonrunes, but people seem to be about as polarized on it as they were the first two games.

Daily reminder that Umineko is good if you ignore 7 and 8

I actually agree but I didn't put an image of R11 since the other ones were of the first games in the respective series

I thought 1 was pretty good and 2 was downright amazing. Certainly better than Ace Attorney for me.

The "gameplay" is easily the worst part but who cares, you play it for the story/characters.

7 is fine, but yes, 8 is extravagantly polarizing and drops the ball on tying up certain through-line themes.

Dang it ron paul is the definition of style over substance

J E S S I C A

Daily reminder that you're retarded. 7 is pretty boring but explains a lot of things and the tea party is one of the best and most important parts.
8 could have done with less magic masturbation, but it was a good final chapter.

Shkanontrice is retarded

Why would you want anything else? The original MSpaint sprites look like they're straight out of Adventure Quest and the Steam version makes everyone look like Steve Buscemi

Ever17 was the 2nd, Never7 was the first in the Infinity series.

>DRv3 is a bad game
I

Reminder that the Rokkenjima massacre would've never happened if Battler grabbed Shannon's breasts in the beginning

...

What about the Science Adventure series?

...

There's the overarching mystery that you can solve completely by the 3rd episode.

Steins;Gate is good, but it's "Choose Your Waifu: Time Travel edition"

DR has my husbando in it so it so I will always be a little more biased.

I've played all of them beside Umineko. They are all good games with varying strengths and weaknesses, but they are all worth playing.

>Choose Your Waifu: Time Travel edition
>implying there's something wrong with that

reminder

Umineko > Steins;Gate / Danganronpa 2 > Danganronpa / Chaos;Head before it goes full baka > Ace Attorney > Chaos;Head after it goes full baka

Yes, SoL weebs get out reeeeee

What about Robotics;Notes

This. Fuck ZE

It doesn't have an english translation so I wouldn't know.

>shittiest MC in the series.
>cast is mostly one note.
>murder cases go to shit in Chapter 4.
>Chapter 6 is ME3 ending tier.
Yes it's bad.

If you enjoyed Umineko and S;G then I sure hope you played Higurashi as well.

>Someone used my picture
Have some butts.

Why the fuck wasn't Jessica the culprit? It would've made much more sense.

>Natushi unable to have children secretly made a deal with Kinzo
>Jessica would've been the daugther of Beatrice.
>Gets lonely spending her entire life on Rokkenjima, starts dabbling in magic, inspired by Kinzo
>Solves the epitaph and discovers the truth
>Flips out and plans on killing everyone

hey now, Episode 4 was pretty good

1>2 and anyone who says otherwise likes shit characters that are just so over-the-top they're hard to dislike.
2 is worse in every regard

...

Retroactively shit once C;C outdid everything else

>Chapter 6 is ME3 ending tier.
Don't fucking compare it to Mass Effect 3
It's actually somewhat clever, despite how polarizing it is.

Umineko is literally the definition of a flawed masterpiece and that's why it's so amazing.

...
