The dream is dead boys.
I thought there would at least be corssplay between Xbox and PC.
From the tweet Harada made it seemed like he tried and got cockblocked
Does this affect what platform you will get the game on?

Going off SFV's I'm fine with that.
>making the xbone version was a mistake
Bamco fucked up not only on Harada's no paid DLC promises, but also on any other petitions in the future
Also I was going for PC, but i already can see the community dying after a few months so I'll save for a PS4, goddammit
Tekken 7 confirmed no buy
DOA.
I guess you're also fine with no opponents then.
>Does this affect what platform you will get the game on?
I'll just double dip with a cheap RU key for PC and splitting the PS4 version with a friend, though whether I get the PS4 version or not still depends on legacy drivers.
SFV being royally fucked up is can not deterrent other companies from trying crossplay, that's just capcom fucking up as useual.
I mean the game freezes when you plug in a fucking USB cable for fuck sake.
PC WIN AGAIN BOYS
>multiplayer games
>on pc
Sorry, I prefer my games not to die 3 days after release as everyone goes back to overwatch and csgo
Isn't Guilty Gear Xrd PS4/Steam exclusive and no crossplay?
I don't think an Xbone version existing means it's microsofts fault.
Anyone who's been exposed to more technical, more dynamic fighting games will quickly pass on tekken. Other top fighters, namely Street Fighter, KoF and MK have advanced impressively in their latest installments; but the relic that is tekken just can't seem to evolve, furthermore many combos can be done simply by hitting 1-button, and the nearly "instant-kill" rage art moves are just laughably broken. Instead of a supplying a proper fighting engine, matches in T7 seem to rely heavily on "who can get their rage move off first". So many elements of the gameplay don't even require any sort of skill. In my book, slow motion over and over again also gets old very quickly. And in the end, it's more of a novelty or gimmick rather than an actual, thought-out fighting game mechanic. But hey, the casual crowd will be pleased!
If you want something a little more "button-masher-friendly," tekken might be your cup of tea.... Key word, might.
>I prefer my games not to die 3 days after release
Then tekken is not the right series for you in general
Pre-ordered deluxe on Steam. I have IRL mates to play it with forever.
>Release the game on all major platform to broaden the playerbase
>Can't implement crossplay, effectively fracturing the playerbase into multiple sub-bases
Like poetry. Honestly, should've just dropped the Xboner port. Bone is irrelevant in FGC as is, only thing keeping it any kind of relevant being KI and not even much to begin with.
Should've just sucked the Sonycock, taken the hit on not selling on Xbone and bet their chips on PS4 to PC crossplay as a long term investment that's beneficial both to online warrior and pro community lifespan but I imagine Bamco was not gonna let that be an option. Bamco fightans have a history of being hilariously mishandled both in terms of business and game design. Bamco are lazy and greedy
and Harada is an out of it, this was a chance to catch up and they all fucked it.
How are people surprised by this? The only ones that do crossplay are SFV and KI,and both of them are exclusive to one console. Tekken isn't.
tekken isn't SF
Exactly, tekken is dead
I don't know man.
I can't speak for the rest of the world but Tekken is strangely popular here in EU, more so then SF.
everyone from my generation has played it and even some of the girls from my class had Tekken 3 it for their PS1
Who the fuck wants crossplay anyway?
>Tekken is strangely popular here in EU,
No its not its dead as fuck here, theres literally zero tekken scene in the EU, who the fuck you trying to kid?
everyone?
im genuinely pissed
its so god damn fucking easy to implement
People who were expecting crossplay is retarded. Harada never said a damn thing about it. The game isn't even exclusive to one console so it'd be even harder to get the companies to work together and get crossplay a thing for the game.
so 0 hackers on PS4
nice
>can't play on PC because user base will die in a month
>can't play on PS4 because of online paywall
Hope you choke on a million dicks Harada
>With their security policy P2P can not be used between 3 platforms
What?
ofc it's not crossplay. How else would they justify paid online for multiplayer?
People would bitch if PC didn't pay for servers but consoles did
yes every time i play mustards on SFV there is always cheating like lag switching
Not turrnyfags im talking the casuals.
Since when has there ever been a scene for any tekken game?
>muh esports
everybody and their mothers played tekken and mk here while no one gives a flying fuck about sf
>Since when has there ever been a scene for any tekken game?
Never, the game is casual garbage.
>PS4 players acting like they don't have exploits again

I'll be playing on the version that doesn't have niggers on it thanks
Im EU and i can confirm this is false.
That's sad, but it's by far not a deal-breaker. I've already been set on a PS4 purchase because, for better or worse, that's what most of my friends have. This only solidifies my decision.
This is speculation but I think it might be that if P2P would be implemented with Xbox the policy would likely dictate that they use Xbox Live. If you wanted to have crossplay between Xbox and PC you'd have to use Live which means it would have to be sold on MS Marketplace, which means not Steam, there is no way MS would let a Marketplace game have direct crossplay with PS4 if Live is involved. I suspect this is what he means by "splitting the PC", for PS4 crossplay you'd have to have a separate Steam version that would then be allowed to crossplay with PS4 but it would split the PC playerbase in half which is beneficial to exactly nobody.
People bring up Rocket League as a successful three way crossplay example but that is also because it utilizes dedicated servers instead of P2P, probably owned and maintained by themselves, with their own in-game matchmaking system and network infrastructure. SFV utilizes similar sort of thing which is why you have CFN, matching happens with CFN IDs and you download patches from CFN. SFV is also a unique case of being first party funded by Sony so it's likely they could be like renting servers from Sony or have sort of other similar deal.
Basically the only way they could've made it work is by designing and setting up their own network and their own servers which was probably too much of an undertaking or investment.
I see, thanks.
Wow, you 16'ers really make it easy to identify your posts. Even Aris calls Tekken one of the hardest fighters to master.
If you're awake at this time in EU you didn't have enough human interaction to confirm that
This pasta is terribly stale and seems to be from someone who hates fun
It's common knowledge that SF is only popular in the States and Japan whereas Tekken (the FG that has sold the most in the entire world) is much more popular in Europe, Korea, Middle East (no joke) and Oceania/SEA.
Niggers with personal anecdotes about how dead or amazing their scene is need to get the fuck out.
I'm guessing I'll be better off buying it on PS4. Doesn't really matter much, I never really saw the point of modding the models in a fighting game.
>Some garbage player who only plays tekken tries to claim its hard
LMAO.
There's a reason why SF players like Poongko and Kazunoko can pick up tekken and boddy all its "top" players in under a week.
tekken is literally babys first button masher
It's common knowledge that tekken is dead and no one plays it, especially in the EU
Its common knowledge that you are retarded and are pulling shit out your ass.
