Breath of the Wild thread.
Breath of the Wild thread
>need to carry a torch
>it wont stop raining
>cant put a fire because rain
defend this
water puts out fire you retard
I half expect the hard mode DLC to just be perpetual rainy weather.
Zelda is pretty cute, but her voice is crazy bad, jesus.
Do you guys mark on the map where you find cool weapons spawn?
What's your favorite area to explore?
What's your least favorite?
>Zelda is pretty cute, but her voice is crazy bad, jesus.
I love her new voice
I bet she makes great sounds when things go in her butt hehehe
...
No but I pictures of cool weapons before they break
how do you get the shrine to appear here? I know you have to wait until 3 for the shadow but then what
Is there any stealth armor besides the Sheikah set? Also, is the only way to get it to buy it?
Make a fire somewhere with an overhang where it's not raining or go to a hotel
>No one knows shit about gems and weapons
Surely its a thing right? I feel like we've all just missed some small nook in the world that allows us to craft weapons.
>broke all of my weapons just trying to fight one guardian
>manage to kill it
>a stealth guardian appears right afterwards
Where can I find some good weapons so I can finally kill these fuckers?
then you git gud
So this the farthest forward into the future Zelda by a huge margin. They cite 10,000 years ago as when the guardians were built, but also reference the other heroes (from all the timelines). Since there weren't any guardians in those games, we can assume that the gaurdians came after all those games and then this game takes place 10,100 years after their inception. Why the fuck hasn't Hyrule advanced at all since medieval times?
The area just east of the Gerudo desert was great fun
DLC stuff I reckon. It seems like an idea which got dropped.
Every normal weapon does reduced damage to them. They can only be damaged normally by ancient weapons.
Get the Master Sword. That or use guardian weapons. Weapons from the "modern" age do shit damage to them.
...
"Later" on you have specific grea/wepaon to destroy those fucker, but it's quest.
I hope we never get a companion again.
Being able to work out shit on your own without any nagging is a nice change.
>that new Paya art on Pixiv
It may not be to everyone's tastes, but I like it.
So that tower that was surrounded by those lizards in the water and the electric wizards wasn't that bad actually.
Just keep headshoting the lizards and shoot the wizards with ice arrows. And slowly make a cryonis path as you do so toward the tower.
first game in a while I don't have to force myself to play/complete. about to meet up with the four races, pretty excited
you can try the lab on the northwest corner of the map
or go through the lost woods
they did advance, the Ganon and the guardians fucked shit up back to the medieval ages.
>That shrine quest at zora's domain
Alright you win this one game
Help me bros
there all lazy assholes
THICC
It's kind of baffling that for their biggest series finally getting voice acting Nintendo didn't go all out
It really feels like they got an intern at NoA to put up an ad on the internet and then hired the first people who responded
Ganon keeps causing the collapse of society. The guy is a walking apocalypse
Because there are eternally respawning monsters everywhere.
>almost have the entire map explored
>just figured out you can put stamps on the map for materials/weapons/bosses
No, because in the flashbacks they are unearthing the guardians, they didn't make them. Only Zelda has a shiekah slate. The greatest advancement I can tell is Zelda is allowed to wear pants.
Kass and Sidon are bros, everyone else can eat a dick
Do you think the DLC packs will be good or shit?
They realized voice acting doesn't need to make up the majority of the game and went the RPG route where important pieces of dialogue are voiced and the rest isn't.
>He doesn't have a great flamesword and create camp fires at will
Seriously though, where the fuck are electric keese? I need their wings to upgrade the climbing set and I have seen fuck all.
When do you get the master sword? I only just spoke to Impa again after getting my first memory.
What part? The answer is either:
Under the bridge or
Jump attack from the waterfall
Honestly, if they're infused with the power of ice/fire/lightning then what the fuck is their point? Equipment crafting?
Can any of you guys who played a lot give me the rundown tl;dr of the game?
I doubt I will ever play it but I'm curious how people who have actually played think about it.
Without spoiling them, are there unbreakable weapons in the game?
Well as soon as you can figure out where it is. There's a bit of a test to pull it out of the pedestal though.
>Decide to ignore my current quest, or any sort of goal and go GTA like and doing shit.
>find more korok, shrine and new quest to get overwhelmed with.
Fuck this masterpiece of design.
In the lost woods of course g
Yes. It's exactly what you think.
Are the ancient parts only used for ancient gear? I need 10k rupees and I need to sell shit.
Also what recipes make the most money
No no I understand why the entire game isn't voiced I'm complaining that the voice acting that is in the game isn't better
It's been a long time since I've heard voice acting in a video game that wasn't convincing
Technically yes.
I was just teasing before, user! Here is your delivery.
Thats what I'm saying, it seems that way, but no one fucking knows.
Where is the 120th shine sprite?
Yes, the Biggoron Sword, the Fierce Deity Sword and Schindler's List.
>time-line fags
Literally the most cancerous thing to happen to Zelda.
Why couldn't you just accept reincarnation/story retelling?
They are also used to upgrade the ancient gear from the great fairy.
Path to Zara domain has a bunch senpai.
Post map
trade them with the gerudo woman for special gear in the accessory shop
What is your favorite shire?
Mine has got to be the Shora Hah Shrine near Goron City.
This is why I'm glad they had the sense to let the player turn off the quest marker.
The Shrine in the Forgotten Temple where you have to get through laserpalooza.
I'm partial to the one in Lord of the Rings
The Kah Okeo shrine in the far west since it's actually like a classic zelda dungeon
Highly recommend
>Additional map feature
I bet that's a Korok tracker
I feel like Fable jank is what happens when you don't have a real QA department.
You have to find it. Remember where it was in the other games. Talk to some of the NPCs. In the main questline they mention it quite a bit, asking you where you left it. It's not that hard to figure out. Then go there and you'll see what to do.
>Zara domain
The hell is that?
>shine sprite
>He doesn't have the korok tracker already.
Just max out your inventory senpai
What's your most heroic death yet, Sup Forums?
I died fighting about 20 bokoblins, a lizalfos, and a moblin all at once, but I took about 16 of them with me
Is it just me or are 2-hand weapons (not polearms) just shit? They're slow, you can't defend while wielding it, their wide swing can be done with a 1-hand spin attack, their range can be done with a polearm, and I feel that they don't do enough damage to cover the faults.
PSA
Some user used a stopwatch to click the the Giant Horse and Epona. Apparently, despite the 2-star rating and a lack of stamina spurs for sprinting, the Giant Horse runs comparably fast to an "effectively spurred" Epona with her 4/4/4 stats. Combine this with the Giant Horse's height and unparalleled strength rating, and you have one hell of a combat mount.
Give it to me straight, is the game really that good?
I've never really had an interest in Zelda but the fact that this game is apparently really different from the other games piques my interest. What are some of the pros and cons of the game?
Zora, you know what I meant
>read on Sup Forums how you'd need to use the sledgehammer to delete the rock ball in one of the first shrines
>decide to experiment a bit
>turns out you can just bomb arrow it
Spines all around a shrine
No high place nearby to drop from the sky
How do I get in?
Get the Ceremonial Trident from underneath Zora's Domain in the water then float down from the top of the waterfall until your right above the platform and won't die from the fall then do a faliing attack on it
It's the only Shrine riddle I think has been fucking dumb so far. They're my favorite part of the game otherwise.
Is there a faster way to grind rupees than doing the gliding minigame?
I mean, they did hire a random furfag to do Revali and the Deku Tree. Somebody posted his FurAffinity a while back.
He actually seemed like a super passionate guy, so I'm fine with it, but it's obvious they didn't hire the most established people.
I just finished the game and saw this on my save files. Is this supposed to represent new game plus compatibility or what?
But why would I need it once I have a maxed out inventory?
Does anyone know a location where I can pick up a thunderstorm rod? Kinda like how hyrule castle has a blizzard rod you can pick up.
The main advantage of them is that it knocks enemies on their asses and makes them lose their weapons
There's a lady in Gerudo village who has an accessory shop. Give her 10 flint and she'll open it up. You use gems to make wearable jewelry with special effects. As far as I know, you can't modify weapons in any way.
So I'm trying to collect ore by blowing it up with bombs but I can't help but notice that that can be a bit risky at times on account that the explosion will usually send the ore flying off a cliffside or something.
Is there a more "efficient" way of doing this?
It's technically called "Post credits play" and adds a few small things
What bridge spent a hour magneting under the whole Zora domain
Saw an user say you can burn the ones on a tower so try burning those ones too.
>happily play through dragon quest builders start to finish despite it's repetitive elements and minor issues
>first game in AGES that i've done that on
>BOTW is giving me the exact same feeling as DQB did
I'm in for a vidya-packed month and i fucking love it
i just got a big ol' bag of weed too for full degeneracy
They have the highest damage output and most durability. If you're good at performing a perfect dodge, they are your best friend.
How many times are people gonna ask this?
Some people like it, some don't, Sup Forums is just a shitposting mess so you won't get any straight answer anyway and there are tons of reviews and videos you can read and see.
Decide for yourself.
Oh thank god a nonshitposting thread amidst the sea of shit that this board has become.
I just followed the prince there and didn't see fuck all. Just Lizards and Moblins. Also it was nightime a majority of the trek.
I demand a second opinion. Or at least better details on where they are on the pathway to the Domain.
Use hammers.
The inventory doesn't even give you a full page when maxed my friend. Bows can be maxed in like 6 upgrades. It doesn't even take half the koroks to complete the inven.
If you're asking why would you want to find the korok seeds at all? No answer.
Of course a new dungeon and story are good DLC additions but I hope there will also be new overworld enemies.
