Because it was a very lackluster remaster of a great game.
>2006: Paid reviews
>2016: We're too fucking good to pay for reviews
>2017: FUCK...start paying for reviews again
people who played it on Wii U didnt liked it as much as people played it on Wii
why was WWHD so amazing and TPHD literally a cashgrab
Video game reviews are made relative to the standards of the time. As technology and games improve, so does our expectations for the game to deliver on.
Because TP was trash. It was like being set inside a grimdark french cartoon with no joy
Remasters are judged by different criteria than original games.
Changes and improvements are the main factors and there really weren't that many in TP for Wii U. As a result, reviewers still gave it a "good" score (which we all know is an 8/10 for modern reviewers).
>a port is the exact same experience as the original
Wow op. You're redefining reality.
It's Twilight Princess. The downgrade in score is justified.
It's obvious, a mainline Zelda game will always get a 10 or 15 points extra.
Especially now that Nintendo is in the gutter, people don't want to be the ones that pull the trigger on Nintendo and Zelda with a 7/10 score.
Standards and general opinions change with time.
Because WWHD made quite a few great quality of life changes (neogaf.com
Because LE GEEK CULTURE XD
Nowadays you can't talk shit about Zelda.
It's the David Bowie of videogames.
That doesn't make sense. They are(or should be)judged upon the criteria that they are created in, not that they exist in.
Did you actually look at the image?
This, graphically it was barely better than than an emulated version (textures are updated and much better than the original though), and the Amiibo dungeon it's the worst dungeon of 3D Zeldas.

It was released only to calm the hunger of starved Zelda fans that were waiting for BoTW pretty much since the Wii U was released, they made money with OoT 3D so Nintendo thought why not?
i think review scores deflated about 5-10 points on average between '06 and '16
It didn't add much of value aside from native 1080p resolution and new HD textures.
They fixed the Rupee back in the chest shit, which was nice. They increased the max Rupee count to 9999 by adding the Colossal Wallet. They also increased the base Rupee count.
Controls are a harmonious union of the GameCube's button swordplay, mixed the gyro aiming of the Wii.
They added the Cave of Shadows which was basically the Cave of Ordeals in Wolf-form only. A new item called the Poe's Lantern for finding Poes, which was completely unnecessary.
Although they added a Hero Mode (x2 Damage) and a Hard Mode (x2 Damage) for a possible x4 Damage playthrough.
Your sword doesn't clash against surfaces anymore, which is retarded. The giant rock surronded by water in Ordon Village is blocked off for absolutely no reason.
Still 30FPS instead of 60FPS.
lol so wrong i don't even know where to begin
Good to know you have shit taste.
First off, different people reviewing the game from 10 years ago most likely.
2nd, in 10 years games evolve. What was a 10/10 game years ago might not meet the same requirements/expectations a 10/10 game has today.
>20 year difference
times change retard
THIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssss, I give BOTW 10 months before youtubers start making videos for it like they did for Phantom Pain completely baffled at how the cancerous games media gave it perfect 10s.
because 2006 has payed reviews
nah for the time twilight princess was a legitimate 9/10 and i have more fun with TP than I ever did in botw
year difference
