For SMT (I-IV, DDS, DS): crazy hard JRPGs with a large focus on weakness and buffs instead of grindan and spam

It is a bretty good story about friendship, the other side of people and murder mystery while hanging in high school trying to be the motherfucking king.

it's 75% visual novel/life sim while the other 25% is some turn based dungeon combat mixed in

I can confirm this. I played for at least 6 minutes and that is what the game is.

I am almost finished and I enjoyed it.
My previous experience with jrpgs is pretty much just Final Fantasy, and I enjoyed this game.
It has great dialogue. I am just not a giant fan of the combat. Too many tanky enemies. Gets pretty annoying.
At least the soundtrack for fighting is godtier.

Game about being in a really upbeat place where you solve murders. Pretty fun game, and going through each day leveling up your relationships can become kind of addicting.
If you don't know anything about it, I recommend emulating it for a little while and see how you like it. Also has a GOAT ost.
Be warned though, the intro to the game is extremely long (Roughly 4 hours of VN stuff before you really get to the meat of the game).

Neat story, neat characters, neat dating sim, neat JRPG combat mechanics. Overall 8/10 imo. Just beware if you play P4 before P3, P3P is the only version that lets you control your party and the AI is brain dead
