The best Dark Souls game, but very few cool secrets
Better than Bloodborne. So a 11/10.
Might as well be called Demon Souls 2
Pic related.
Budget bloodborne
and
Buyer's remorse
Deception.
>best dark souls game
>better than bloodborne
oh boy
A Dark Souls game where you don't spend 90% of your time walking forward with a shield raised.
test
a solid 7/10
...
Got banned huh?
FUCKING MIMICS EVERYWHERE
FUCKING HELL
A good game bogged down by linearity, garbage gameplay balancing, mostly poor levels and a bunch of gimmick bosses.
Not OP, but I'm also considering taking a shot at DaS3 and I have to know:
Is it viable to start with a Deprived and build them into a character who can "do it all", or will that just get my shit slapped?
massive disappointment
go quality this game was made for quality builds, magic is shit since you need 60 on faith/int for spells to do damage plus stats for the fucking mana bar
>bloodborne
Is it on pc?
No? Then how is it a good game?
so just like every other Dark Souls game where you can choose not to
pretty much this
Because it's not on PC, cuckold ;)
If by 'do it all' you mean strength and dex then that's pretty much optimal.
If you include sorceries, pyro and miracles then prepare for hurt.
the only worth while build is str/dex and fastest roll 2 hand weapon only, armor is literally just cosmetic and blocking is completely outclassed by rolling since enemies attack more relentlessly in this game and have good tracking so you basically have to dodge
The best Souls game by a fucking mile
Unless you like being a contrarian shitposter on Sup Forums in which case its worse than AIDS and cancer combined
The most technically sound game in the series, yet the least amount of charm and what made souls games a souls game.
It's like a sad walk through an old neighborhood.
Also, no poise.
A rehash of the last 4 games.
but only yhorm was gimmick? if i remember right everyone else just needs a good beat down although some of their transformations are crazy like abyss watcher
Can I do a sorcery build in dark souls 2?
What's a quality build?
fpbp
Keeping Strength and Dexterity roughly equal, as opposed to picking one.
Bloodborne isn't a Dark Souls game you silly sandwich
>magic is shit since you need 60 on faith/int for spells to do damage plus stats for the fucking mana bar
What, again with the nerfing? The hell did magic ever to you, From?
>If you include sorceries, pyro and miracles
What can I say? I hate to miss out on anything neat.
I'm not looking to dominate in PVP- I just want to enjoy the singleplayer.
>I hate to miss out on anything neat.
Great, you won't be doing that by skipping out on magic.
Seriously, DS3 magic is literally the worst iteration of magic in the series.
Really if you're going for a magic build in Ds3 I would recommend 48 INT and 40 Faith with a crystal chime. It scales with both and lets you use magic and faith at the same time plus you can switch to pyro if you need too.
A game that is good but not quite as good as the other two.
Cashgrab and worst game in the franchise with no replayability and the worst DLC
I tried a full magic build in DS3 after having hella fun as a sorc with the MLGS in DS1/SotFS holy fuck the lack of spell tracking even on marginally moving enemies, limited lock on range and binoculars just kill magic. Never even got to try out the MLGS in 3 before I gave up.
Is faith so shit in 3 too, if I went mostly quality but started as a cleric so I could use some basic heals and buffs but not really offensive faith and ran a raw ASS would that be viable in 3 for PVP? Or is straight quality with no faith investment at all better?
A fun game with it's own pros and cons that makes a welcoming addition to the soulsborne series and I enjoyed every moment I played it.
how about the enemy designs?
any strange/fucked up/comical shit?
A game you'll keep coming back to.
I've only had it since Christmas and have done 6 NG playthroughs. Unfortunately, I haven't finished a NG+ yet because it's boring when you don't start from scratch.
>48 INT and 40 Faith with a crystal chime
That's allowing for all three schools, then? What would you recommend for a straight-up Sorcerer?
>but very few cool secrets
Or chests, for that matter. Hell I was halfway through playing through the first time and I couldn't remember the last time I opened one save for a mimic, which I knew was at least 5 bonfires ago.
The setpieces and boss fights are breathtaking and the weapons all feel superb, but sometimes DaS3 feels like a really badass cutscene. It's really a straight shot from start to finish.
One of the main bad bosses is just a big pile of gunk. The lore is pretty cool around that boss.
There are big half-dragon dudes with baby faces, literal giant babies with Manus hands for heads and vagina centipedes.
Nostalgia of DS1.
No, not at all. It's a massive oversight (or undersight?)
I am extremely disappointed. No giant eldrich abominations in the game aside from Oceiros really. Aldrich was supposed to be but they made him like 80% Gwyndolin.
r1 spam
roll spam
useless shields/blocking
I swear every time I fought a boss I started off blocking and eventually figured out that it's better to just roll spam the entire time
(You)
try finger
but hole!
>Aldrich was supposed to be but they made him like 80% Gwyndolin
That was, indeed, some serious bullshit.
fun and too much fanservice
yhorm is also extremely disappointing
Cash crop
Neo Sup Forums community trying to emulate original DS community
Pro tip: don't bother
deprived isn't optimal for minmaxing but he can be viable, sure. You'll just be missing out on like two or three stat points by not picking wanderer.
also there is an npc that lets you respec
this
magic is boss, dude. You can get some good magic builds, but you also have to invest in strength or dex a little too. there are some sweet casting weapons too, like heysels pick or the immolation tinder, so you aren't so fucked in close range battle. throw on sage's ring and the sorcery/pyromancy boosting ring and you gucci
Dark Souls 2 would be the best if it was in DS3's engine for me. All DS3 had were cathedrals and open spaces.
