>no honor, not even in 2v2
>most people rely on cheese tactics in 4v4
>everyone with prestige 4+ has revenge build
>every 2nd player is edgelord playing as pisskeeper, spamming light attack and dodge
>no balance and bug fixes from ubi
honor and fair play stopped being a thing online around 2006. if modern players had the choice between playing normally or pressing a key that gives them an instant victory, all matches would boil down to whose autohotkey script could trigger that key press faster because it's all about elo/mmr dickwaving now.

You can't blame people for not honoring your stupid video game ethics code. If people can cheese their way through a challenge they'll do it. It's the designers responsibility to make sure that happens. That's why the game desperately needs new modes or alterations to the existing game modes so we either get a King of the Hill style round based consecutive 1v1 matches for a lobby or changes to the existing game mode so you can actually play alternative 1v1 modes without resorting to duel
