>only one enemy period

You were undershooting the actual number even when you said 15 different regular enemies, and now you're undershooting it even more? Jesus fuck, you haters are desperate.

>counting minibosses and bosses
top cuck

But I'm not.

One enemy per year in development.

Open world games were a mistake.

That doesn't even make any sense. The game was in development for 4 years

>NINE

AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

>HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

>AHAHAHAHAHAHAH

>HAHAHAH

YOU LITERALLY ***CANNOT*** MAKE THIS UP

>no enemies at all
defend this retards

How many regular enemies does a Zelda usually have?

>YOU LITERALLY ***CANNOT*** MAKE THIS UP
OP just did.

The first Zelda has 30 even before counting bosses

>How many regular enemies does a Zelda usually have?

more than 9000.

>b-but theres only like 15 enemies in the game

Ok hotshot, name ONE (uno) enemy from a previous Zelda game that would actually fill a niche not already in BotW. To keep you from embarassing yourselves, I'll throw out an example. You can't have like likes because those niggas are slow as molasses and would pose no threat at all in the open world environment.

and the come in four variants if you dont count health and damage variations, if you're being generous about how they move.

post the list of enemies nigga

>depending of weapons, their whole attack pattern changes. basically making it a new enemy you dumb fuck

Bokoblins
Moblins
Centaur fucks
Guardians
Keese
Octorocks
Those flying sentries in Akkala
Lizalfos
Jackie Chan

It's only $.99

what about the buff yiga dude

I understand that since most of the game takes place outdoors the enemies had to make sense as living in the world, ergo no Armos Knights/Beamos', but I'm super fucking disappointed that there were no Darknuts in Hyrule Castle.

Guardians and Guardian Scouts aren't just recolours of each other though, they should count as two separate kinds of enemy

>Oot sold almost twice as many copies in the first week of Japan
>Had also twice the enemies
Botw has no like likes

redeads, like likes, dodongos

You forgot Chuchus and the stationary turrets at Hyrule Castle.

It's okay when Bethesda does it, why not Nintendo?

>Bokoblins
Club
Spear
Archer
Long sword
Sword and Shield

>Moblins
Club
Spear
Archer
Long sword
Sword and Shield

>Centaur fucks
Sword and Shield
Double Sword
Alabarda

>Guardians
Legless
Drone
Sword
Sword and Shield
Axe
Spear
Mayor Test of Strengh

>Keese
Electric
Fire
Ice
Normal

>Octorocks
Succkers
"Mimics"

>Lizalfos
Club
Spear
Archer
Long sword
Sword and Shield
Electric Field
Fire Breath
Ice Breath

>Jackie Chan
Banana Merchant
Sword Master

and You forgot all Chu-chu

so now tell me again ALL this play the same and that they are just recolors

Because "muh okay when Nintendo does it"

Chuchus,
Bees
Yiga
Turrets
Wizzrobes
Malice

Tektites to fuck your shit up while mountain climbing.

>ZERO different regular enemies period

FUCKING DEFEND THIS SHIT

Does anyone else hate Bokoblins i've never liked them in any game and the slow move that they are just the default enemy types in 3d Zelda pisses me off so much.

>forgetting bats, wizrobes and chuchus
Nice

>lists only 9 different enemies
LOL

i c u wat u did thar
[spoilers]ITS OVER 9000!!!![/spoilers]

I can't. One of the most disappointing aspects of the game for me. Still game of the decade tho. Hopefully the DLC adds a few more enemy types.

Enemy types were never Zelda's focus.

Enemy types in Zelda games were always responses to the items and weapons you gained.

The item pool in BoTW shrank, so the enemy variety stayed proportionate.

i cant. its one of the games flaws. at least the lynels are okay

>what are keese

..th-they play the same and they're just recolors...

f-f-f-faggot.

okay, jackie chan and big jackie chan

What happened to the previous 16 enemies the old copypasta had?

How many yrs have u been playing zelda games and u don't even know what keese are? fuckin get out.

9 enemy? fuck glad I didn't buy this rehash shit

How about more, you know, new enemy types specifically designed to fit the game?

I don't know why the question is what old enemies they could have used as if a Zelda game isn't allowed to have new enemey types.

>Still game of the decade tho
Really? I don't have an opinion either way since I am not going to buy it, but do you genuinely consider it to be your personal GOTD and not just saying that?
Just curious.

Shitposters noticed it wasn't effective enough when they reposted that, so they decreased it to 9 and hoped that nobody would fucking notice or have the brains to check the fucking archive.

list all the enemies
don't count minibosses or bosses

Two but yeah unacceptable.

>only 3 types of enemies

>That feel when LttP had 74 enemy types without counting the recolors, different soldier types, traps and bosses

How about you check the fucking archive and stop asking for spoonfeeding, you dipshit?

...

guess you can't then

Is it true that there are only two minibosses? Hinox and Stone Talus.

Does it matter?

Botw has no likes, period

>FUCKING DEFEND THIS SHIT

ok
despite lack of enemy variety, the elements and the experience of the game came together well enough to earn BotW a combined Metacritic score of 98 / 100, one of the most critically acclaimed games Of All Time.

/thread

They wouldn't plop the Like Like in the middle of a fucking field, user; they would drop on you by surprise or be fought in tight corridors in conjunction with other enemies or traps. Fuck, have some enemy wrap it up in a net and swing it around or something. Get creative, unlike Nintendo.

It's also embarrassing that the one Zelda game where it makes sense to have an enemy that destroys your equipment doesn't have that enemy.

>can only defend the lack of enemies compared to pass zelda games with a review score number

There should have been dark nuts and iron knuckles.

Basically armored human enemies that could drop amazing weapons but require a lot of skill and time to kill. I would've loved an entire castle full of enemies like that.

this

every day the number is getting smaller and smaller

sonyroaches are desperate

>Only 5 different enemies not counting recolors
It's ok when Microsoft does it.

There are several recolors of each.
There's also Molduga.
Naydra is up for debate.

What enemies did you hope to see in the game?

>bokoblins
>moblins
>lizalfos
>stalfos bokoblins
>stalfos moblins
>stalfos lizalfos
>chuchus
>keese
>mobile spider guardians
>mini peashooter guardians
>helicopter guardians
>octorocks
>yiga clan agile assassins
>yiga clan samurai
>lynels
>wolves (yes, they are enemies that attack you)
>the little rock guys you can throw to blowup
>bubbles (they spawn from the malice mouths)

Think that covers all non bosses

Bears

Does BotW have the lowest enemy variety of any zelda game released thus far?

Not counting recolors, though any recolor with different capabilities should count as a separate enemy type.

finally someone lists them
was that so hard?

Don't forget the keese squads which fight differently enough to be considered a different enemy

also..

>wizrobes
>sword fighting guardians

Missing Wizzrobes

Nobody owes you anything, loser.

Yep. They were clinging to the hope that after a week everybody would realize it's a shitty baby game on a shitty console, but it's been a week and it's still GOAT vidya, and still nobody cares about horizon-something-or-other and that other game that starts with an 'n' that nobody cares about either, and the Switch is still sold out.

shut the fuck up you bib wearing baby, you should be thankful anyone spoonfed them to your lazy ass instead of acting like a shithead

I was really hoping for a horror themed area/dungeon filled with redead. A fucking cursed graveyard or something. The tortured souls of those killed in the calamity roaming the remote fields of Hyrule. For fuck's sake Nintendo, this shit writes itself.

zelda.gamepedia.com/Category:Enemies

If these enemy counts are to be trusted, yes.

I forgot how many unique monsters ALttP had.

Lizards are enemies

I think BotW is overrated, but this is just a blatant lie.

zelda.gamepedia.com/Category:Enemies_in_Breath_of_the_Wild

I also like how "Ball" is listed as an enemy.

>A Zelda game doesn't have Darknuts or Tectites

this is how I know it was either rushed or an afterthought for a Zelda game

No, they are of no threat or inconvenience to the player.

Bees - they will attack you.
Wizzrobes.
Coocoos - Baddest assed critter in the game. Can easily take down minibosses without cracking a sweat. One of these days imma ninja one into Hyrule castle to deal with Ganon.

This game have no Poes or redead?

Awkwardly angled ledges and fire are enemies

>Bees
>Coocoos
Fuck you.

Oh god I need to see this.

only oldfags will get this

>listing all those variations of the same enemy

>bokoblins
>>>stalfos bokoblins

>moblins
>>>stalfos moblins

>lizalfos
>>>stalfos lizalfos

>chuchus

>keese

>guardian
>>>mobile spider guardians
>>>mini peashooter guardians
>>>helicopter guardians

>octorocks

>yiga
>>>yiga clan agile assassins
>>>yiga clan samurai

>lynels (minibosses, not regular enemies)

these aren't enemies, just moving explosive barrels and cannon fodder used by the actual enemy (malice)
>the little rock guys you can throw to blowup
>bubbles (they spawn from the malice mouths)

animals don't count

I can't, but I love that you can beat Ganon without meeting any of the NPCs, with the shit laying around the castle, while in your underwear.

Try attacking a coocoo. Go ahead. I dare you.

>gets popcorn

The only place you observe fire is in a boss area, it can not be considered a regular enemy.

Not the best lists so not a great way to judge, You have to factor some things in though, like how Moblin with Spear is a different type of fight to Moblin with Sword and Shield or how Wizrobes of the different types (if you don't just have the right arrows to one shot them anyway) are actually quite different from one another.

Now I'm sad we don't have a ravaged battlefield location strewn with weapons and armors and undead enemy types walking aimlessly.

>Like likes would have no place in a game with weapon durability

What's it like to be literally retarded?

>*kicks his feet up*
>*folds his fingers and laughs*

Great post, friend, upvoted.

*stabs you in the balls*

BACK THE FUCK OFF??!?!?

The skele and cursed variants of enemies are so vastly different in style, tactics and abilities they might as well just of been generic skeletons

Same with the different guardians and yigas.

Octorocks are enemies

Lynels are regular enemies

The rock monsters are, well, enemies.

Animals and bubbles don't count I agree, but technically some of them charge and attack you.

No we just have
>looting square mile field full of dead guardians outside Ft Hateno, do DE do DE do oh holy fu..
>game over
