Why did they model the best armor in the game after a giant piece of shit? Literally even the Raider Power Armor looks better than this blob of tortoise semen

nah

...

looks a little weird compared to FO2 enclave armor. There's a couple differences right

The arm joints were an issue when they had to model it in 3D for reals. I think T-Ray cheated on the originals a little.

At least they got T-51 looking the best it ever has.

Nah you just have shit taste op. Out of all the power armors the X-01 is the most realistic for protection. Raider power armor is shit rebar garbage.

Fucking commie shit bag.

How do I get this armour famalams?

classic bethesda leveled meme
I think there's one or two places where it guarantee spawns but it's surrounded by tough bots

Collect all the star control parts in Nuka world and get a complete full set with unique paint job.

>wearing power armor at all

That they did. Hated that i got a t-60 before i even found a t-51 in my playthrough, i couldnt enjoy its great aesthetics.

I love it actually.

I feel like power armor was one of the things they got kinda right, at least in execution. The fusion core business could have been handled a little differently but it really made you feel like a walking tank, which is what it's supposed to do.

Also that pic.

>You came to the wrong neighborhood motherfucker.

There is one in the nuka world bottling plant with a Nuka cola paint job.

Really dumb that bethesda decided to just make two distinct sets of power armor 'just before' the bombs dropped, when t51 was also supposedly released just a bit earlier as well.

desu they should have just redesigned the t45 to look like the t60 and keep shit as is

I also got the T-60 first, but I only ever used it when doing Brotherhood quests. Otherwise I happily used the T-51.

can we all agree that the dumb fucking circular hatch and fusion core slot on FO4 power armors are fucking awful?

WHERE'S MY FAN BETHESDA?

yeah those were a mistake

I still like it. It feels tanky. Still not a fan of the fusion cores though. I mean, i'm not opposed to using a power source but it felt too weird.

From right to left
>dyel average dude
>aesthetic brosplit non-natty shoulders
>beast mode ppl on a bulk, ready to wreck some pussy
>fat powerlifter

There's two full sets I think guarenteed to spawn after a certain level. One is on the roof of an unmarked building with "Court 35" painted on the outside, and the other is at the National Guard, outside in a train yard. At least, that's where I found mine.

I wouldn't even mind the cores that much if they still somehow managed to keep the fan. That was one of the coolest fucking parts of the armor.

Outside in a train car* not yard, or maybe it's just a cargo hold, it's right behind the National Guard armory

user...

A couple ounces of D-T fusion fuel would power it basically indefinitely. I think Bethesda had no conception of the power density of nuclear energy, and just tried to copy the battery countdown from NGE or something but backed off a little.

Its like you want your neck snapped by a direct hit by a mini nuke.

Nice headcanon. Too bad it couldn't even do that with that RPM. Now fuck off, I was here first.

thoughts?

Isn't it canon that power armor could go 200 years before needing a new fuel source? Before fallout 4, I mean.

>Power armor
>Not rocking the Recon Marine Assault armor

Yes, Fallout 4 fucked up a lot of things like forcing pipe weapons on people and removing good quality fire arms that are canon in the universe like the .45 semi auto pistol aka 1911.

I hope to god they don't force pipe weapons again in the next fallout game, I fucking hate those guns.

i haven't played fallout 4 and don't remember if it was in fallout 3 but in fo2 didn't advanced power armor mk II look exactly the same as APA but with better stats

Wrong.

Hellfire would probably look really neat in fallout 4

Also forgetting vault tec power armor

Why do I get the feeling that you like to wear cargo shorts, user?

I like having plenty of pockets for utility use, also those aesthetics.

Come at me queers.

yes.
FO4 went back to the idea that power armor is like a vehicle you wear, but to not make it overpowered they thought adding an arbitrary fuel source would make it fair.
It didn't.
You either make a power armor character in which case you will always have enough fuel, or you don't.

It was a real concern though because every character in FO3/NV ended up getting power armor regardless of build, there was no real downside other than they made it hard to get whereas FO4 rains suits down on you from the start of the game.

I think power armor should negatively effect charisma except intimidate, and maybe make some environments sub-optimal for power armor wearers.

The sheer shittiness of their firing sound and their low dps makes me want to kill myself with a nuka bomb

Your thinking about the T-51, it was meant to last the longest until the power armor made by the enclave.

>mutie tastes

It's incredible how ugly this game is

Yeah, I definitely like the original helmet design more. It also looks kinda odd to me because of the shoulders, but on the original APA you can't really turn your head at all so whatever.

>clipping; the set

no thanks

>that bdsm chain and gay aesthetic
Yeah the midwestern armor is the king of all queers, we all know that already

why is every armor in Fallout 4 so fucking bulky? Seriously how are you supposed to shoulder your weapons in any of that shit.

Early model power armor ran on energy cells or umbilicals. The invention of fusion power lead to the implementation of a 'fusion core' which by all accounts had a lifespan of centuries. Making them last minutes is another one of Beth's ~transcription errors~

>shoulder your weapons
you don't. they just disappear when you holster them.

best fo armour sets. freaking tactics pa.

>forgetting the sick shoulder mantle and codpiece
You need to be /fa/ to rule Chicago, pleb.

Why does Bethesda insist upon their shitty puke-green T51 chestpiece? I wouldn't even mind the weathered look, hell even the weathered puke green look, but that shit looks retarded when it's ONLY the chest section that's miscolored for no reason.

So I have a copy of Fallout 4 on my computer right now, what mods do I install to make it not shit?

I want to walk around and explore the map since that's the only thing the game does right.

>bdsm chain

>artilleryist's lanyard (feature of a SHITLOAD of military uniforms)

sounds like you're from texas boy. and you don't look much like a freaking steer to me.

Because that's what it looked like in older Fallouts as well. Winterize it if you don't like it.

Fite me IRL

In Fallout 1 the entire armor had a green tint, it wasn't grey and puke green.

I don't know about Fallout 2 because I just wasn't able to get into it as much as the first game.

Till this day, my boi pucci still wet for this armor.

But dx8.1 fucking sucks tho.

you realize "shouldering your weapon" means bringing them up to aim right? All that bulk would get in the way of aiming. I miss Fallout 3/NV's armor designs which at least made sense.

It wasn't all green.

Because you're an idiot that's never played the original fallout games.
Bethesda has done a decent enough job keeping the armour designs the same as they were in the originals, unlike what they did to the TES armour sets.

theres a reason mods exist buddy

Anything intimately military related is gay as fuck by default. I win

...

That helmet is very clearly green

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aiguillette

also these as well.

Looks like a Predator.. too streamlined & fancy to be made with Fallout's analog technology. It's cool, but it doesn't look like something the BoS could create..

this, the game has mods now so armor isnt even needed anymore, even if that wasn't the case the game makes you into a god past a certain point in your leveling so its still not needed unless you bump the difficulty or are a dumbass and get killed often.

Stop fighting fuckers !

The only way to enjoy Fallout 4 is to wear power armor and use melee weapons since all the guns are unsatisfying as fuck in spite of the improved gunplay, and the only thing Bethesda did well was making Power Armor actually feel like it should.

Lorewise they took design influence from relics of the super-high tech Vault Zero. Those robot fucks make the Enclave look like a bunch of tribals.

> i came in here to hate on video games about military because i'm a cock sucking faggot and HATE EVERYTHING AND YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE FUN OR LIKE ANYTHING EVER

sure thing, whatever you say friendo. you sure showed us.

>my blanket statement of utter idiocy is true because I SAID SO THAT'S WHY

yep, wow, such undeniable proof!

I would assume the green tint was like a military paint or something

Thanks breh

yes, 1950's us forces still tended to paint a shitload of their stuff that godawful matte green. camouflage and shit didn't really take off until WAY after korea and vietnam.

It's just the way the model is lit in this render. The rest of the helmet is no more relatively green than the reflection in the visor.

the Armor isn't even that great past aesthetic
>still get staggered when melee'd
>guns have the exact same recoil without the suit
>protection is laughable
There should have been entirely different animations for wearing it as well as gameplay changes to really make a difference with it. The time thing with the cores might have been ok when you actually became a super tank with the suit. FFS it should have weapons you can only wield while in Power Armour.

I like it because of the shoulders. I hate how most power armor has big retarded Blizzard shoulder pads that don't serve any purpose and just kinda hang off the arms. The Enclave power armor has practical shoulders that don't extend too far out and actually protect a large area of the body.

The opposite is this just two massive bowling balls impeding your arms and protecting nothing. I hate these kinds of shoulder pads. I do like the rest of the Midwestern set though.

Bullets literally bounced off you and did no damage in Fallout 1. Good times.

Is there even a point to using "full set" armor in this game? Even if I fully upgrade it, it's never as good as my vault suit + acadias shield and other legendary individual armor pieces thrown on. But if I ever need armor, which is rare, i'll just hop in the x01
There's been multiple sets like the Coursers or Kellog outfit but compared to individual armor pieces they just don't hold up besides for looks. What am I missing here

user I...
I think..
I think you are colorblind

>LORE RAPE!

Why the fuck did Bethseda have to fuck with the lore to introduce their t-60 armor. I can understand them wanting to introduce a new cool power armor but they could have done it without butchering lore.

Like just have the brotherhood eventually improve their armor with tech they discover since it pretty much is just modified t-45

Damn user, maybe you should ask your sargeant to go get you some tendies, you get angry when youre hungry

It was OP as shit in Fallout 1
>get power armour
>get super sledge
>go fuck up deathclaws

There's no reasonable explanation for it. The most logical thing would be to do what you said. At this point I feel like they're just fucking with the old Fallout lore to spite us because they can.

>Still using the vault suit
>Not using military fatigues or similar armor that takes ballistic weave and still able to wear armor pieces over it

>Bethesda introduces T-45 in Fallout 3 as their own special snowflake power armor
>people hate it because of the garbage design
>Fallout 4 comes around
>T-60 was the super special snowflake armor that has never been mentioned before but it's stronger than all the other power armors
>it's just T-45 with some extra shit thrown on

Could have been worse. Some anons were legitemately scared that Todd was going to reboot the entire series.

>he doesn't use THIS

snoflaek

Their stupid one-upsmanship caused them to do the same thing to Chris Avellone they did to Michael Kirkbride: let's sweep all this cool shit under the rug because we can totally do better ourselves.

Didn't know there were others that could do that, i've only played about 48 hours total, thanks user. I'll have to look up the list

Because the point of power armor is to be bulky, and not a tight bodysuit like in 3/NV.

Well yeah, what with cats, jet, & water purifiers.. it's all meant to give us conniptions.

honestly I wished he would've rebooted the whole thing instead, then maybe there would an explanation for all these bullshit inconsistencies

To get the ballistic weave unlocked you have to do some railroad quests.

I dont know who youre fighting with matey, but thats not the discussion at hand

>>Bethesda introduces T-45 in Fallout 3 as their own special snowflake power armor
T-45 was a Van Buren concept
>>people hate it because of the garbage design
Not really. Plus, it's supposed to be one of the first power armors that were mass produced so it's kind of logic the design isn't perfect.
