The optimist in me would say that they're starting to learn their lesson that people hate it when stuff gets censored and changed, but in reality it's probably just that Zelda is such a popular franchise, it's going to be able to get away with more because it's going to sell so much they don't need to sanitize things people would find objectionable because they think it will lead to more sales.
Though the amount of innuendo that's in the game is still a pleasant surprise and I hope we such leniency in future Nintendo games.

To be fair, I think a lot of the stuff in BotW is intentionally pandering on the down low. Even if it doesn't appeal to you, obviously A LOT of people, male and female alike, find this twinkier prettier Link appealing. Then there's the Great Fairies and the thinly veiled /ss/ every single time you talk to them, Sidon and Yunobo pretty much being fujo stereotypes, plenty of innuendo in side quests and journals etc.
It's not too far fetched to think the crossdressing wasn't just for laughs.
