Hell, it could literally start with a new king/queen being crowned in eto because the old one went missing during the fight in hekseville and since time passes faster ontop of the pillar it must've been some years since he went missing. I mean it would be pretty cool to explore to top of the pillar and go back down later in the game when kat and raven are long dead by then.

It could also be a spin-off game where you play as the military chicks and since time seems to be a big part of the pillars anyways time travel doesn't seem to be impossible. Especially with those 2 ghost guys in the first game that you had to search all over the place.

I played the demo and I was completely underwhelmed. Just wondering if the demo is a good representation as well.

The demo had performance issues but the core gameplay is the same as in the main game.

It's odd, the timey wimey couple was never really explained at all.

There's 2 motes to control the game, one is with the sticks and the other one is with the gyro controls. There's also some neat little tricks you can do with the movement to make it more fun but the combat is one of the biggest flaws in the game and it's quite action oriented. It's definetly not a flawless game but overall pretty enjoyable. Since it's the sequel you'd do good to play the first one before GR2 anyways. I think you can get GR1 on sale for 10-15 bucks, maybe it's worth for you to check that one out.

One thing that might make it better for me that wasn't apparent from the demo... Is there any RPG-like progression? More skills, faster gravity, more combot options? Having a leveling system usually adds at the very least a single point out of 10 for me as I love progression in my games.

Don't like it that much because of the joints, but her only scale is expensive as fuck, and Kat actually fits the main reason to own a figma pretty well, which is playing with lots of different poses.
The Raven one looks a lot better though.

Both have unlock systems through gems you collect as rewards for challenges or by collecting them in the world. In the first game you had upgrades for the gravity gauge to last longer, fall speed and for the combat things like gravity kick upgrades and such. They are there in 2 aswell but I felt like they were less meaningful and you actually had to grind some gems when you want to unlock all skills. 2 has equippable items though that you get from sidequests and randomly generated dungeons.

You invest gems into new skills so yeah I guess. Not really an RPG, though.

Haven't played 2, but in the first game you acquire new skills and super attacks as you progress through the story. And all of them can be upgraded for faster speed, more damage or longer combos. Nothing drastic though, just straight upgrades.

I find Raven highly erotic.

The developers should be careful with designs like that.
