Well, as an incredibly tardy backer, at least now I won't feel bad about submitting my thoughts this late.
Why do the new Executors look so good?
Everything looks great, honestly. I loved the soldiers/orderilies especially. The masks and anonymity gave them more character.
i have the first patholic HD remaster on steam, haven't finished the bachelor path tough, hunger is annoying to manage, any advice?
Bread is your cheap friend
Don't sleep unless you absolutely have to, nights are better spent hunting criminals
Raid dumpsters for empty bottles like the hobo king you are
i do all of those 3, and combat being the only bad thing about this game i gotta say the only thing stopping me from doing the everyday task is damn hunger.
Any other tip?
I'd say that hoarding medicine was pretty pointless for me. I ended up selling most of the painklillers and immunity pills I had as a bachelor to have food. Don't know how much of a general tip that is, though.
Also you can use lockpicks and steal food from people like a cunt. Or load up a gun and raid houses in the burned-out districts, there's always some food on the tables and on shelves. Looters hit like a bitch if you let them get close, though
Thanks for the info, just wish i was warned to waste all my money the first day on 3 of every food for the second day tough, now im the mood for ending the bachelor route.
The prices do get more managable at a few points. And honestly, unless the bar shows up on your screen you can safely ignore hunger.
Have fun. I'm on Day 7 of Haruspex myself right now.
Cool, i think i got an idea of how this will end, but besides that the game once mentioned that random events will pass even if im not there to see them, i think those are things like the with burning on bachelor day 1 right? that's the only event i found on all my time playing this game.
will this gonna be full on remake or some new story set on same town?
Mostly it's the additional tasks, really. I don't think there's that many events that don't appear in the diary
>tfw you will never find the transparent cat
It's the same story with the same characters. But apparently the changes are numerous enough to warrant releasing Classic HD two years ago.
>I loved the soldiers/orderilies especially. The masks and anonymity gave them more character.
I actually haven't played The Marble Nest yet, because I'm waiting for a computer capable of running it.
I like the sound of that, though, and I like the Executor redesign - which is weird, because I loved their first redesign from the reveal trailer, but the more I see of it I like this new, shamanic design even more.
>Any other tip?
Learn the barter system of the game as well as you can - scavenging for supplies and tradeable goods, but also what each type of townsfolk are looking for when they trade, and the value of what they'll give you in return (like bullets or medicine). For example (only click this if you don't want to find out for yourself) the younger girls and boys will accept different types of nuts, which can be bought from food vendors and which the bar will always have some stock of when they replenish their inventory every day. Also, some of the kids will accept needles, which you can sometimes find at clothiers.
It's not really necessary to have hoarded food on the first day; none of the other price increases are as severe so the main struggle is surviving the next few days. Also, as the Bachelor you will sometimes need to raise a lot of money quickly (like how Lara asks you to on the second day) but you also get access to a few sidequests that will earn you ludicrous amounts of money themselves, so you usually have to cover only a small shortfall by selling your supplies - and if you can work out a way to solve a quest without paying that money (or you simply don't care enough to), it's yours to keep.
As the other user said, don't hoard all your supplies (though it's usually advisable to keep a couple of everything if you can spare it, especially the rarer medicines)
Remake/'reimagining' - same characters and mostly the same story, but IPL have said that both mechanics and some narrative/character details will be (or may be) different.
in a way, you are meant to be surprised, and experience the panic and shifting value of necessities in times of crisis
I like them, but my only complaints are that the tribal aspects are too prominent with the bones and of course they can't beat the original
How is everyone's postmortal time looking?
Man, I wish I screencaped all the results I got.
But it was bad in general. I'm too materialistic to have a painless ressurection
some of them seemed like they might not be explicitly bad or good
This is a legit shill thread.
Yep. I like the game so I'm shilling for it.
it's free on steam
>Ice-pick
>shilling
They're one of the most based devs around. Even giving tech support on torrent sites for their own game.
Never played classic HD, and I don't really know much about the game in general. What exactly is the goal here?
Deaigns look fuckin cool, and I know Sup Forums really likes Ice Pick Lodge. I am intrigued
>What exactly is the goal here?
Surviving for 12 days and finding the cure for the plague that broke out. Problem is, it's all happening in a bumfuck nowhere town in the middle of Eurasian Steppe which, even as it tries to look modern, is tribalistic as fuck. Which of course leads to some major spiritualism vs rationalism vs empiricism conflict, reinforced by the fact that all three main characters have very diffrent ideas on what the plague is and how it should be defeated.
resource management first person adventure, where one of three healer archetypes tackle an illness
Your goal in the Marble Nest is to find the source of the plague outbreak in an area you thought was safe and quarantined. You generally do this by talking to characters, visiting areas and using items.
Surreal and theatrical elements are prominent.
RPS summed it up perfectly, it's not a fun game but the depth is incredible
rockpapershotgun.com
is there a website i can go to do this or backer only?
It's done already, I'm afraid. They did a question a day until today, when the demo got announced.
there's a cached version of a few I think, if I can find them
web.archive.org
there might be another one somewhere
There was an unannounced 3 gig update to the Marble Nest a few days ago, I guess it was in preparation for this.
I wonder if there's been any new content secretly added since the alpha/beta. The trailer showed some stuff that I didn't remember seeing in-game, and the steam page now has a screenshot of what looks like the interior of the Polyhedron.
>discusses a game is shilling
Why is Sup Forums so shit now and where did all these mongoloids come from?
It runs much better now, but I haven't noticed any new content other than the Polyhedron getting textures.
>Polyhedron is now always looming on the horizon, not hidden behind the shitty draw distance
My dick.
>mfw people discussing games is shilling
>a literal arbys ad thread gets more active discussion and no one calls out shill
fuck you goddamn cucks
