Time for a Morrowind thread then.
What classes did you guys play as? Why does everybody use longswords?
We are going to build a wall between Sup Forums and the Codex and the Codex will pay for it.
Make Sup Forums Great Again.
You have to go back.
Seriously you Hipsters have a playground all your own stay there.
translation from reddit to english:
"Stop talking about good games and let's only talk about modern trash like TW3 or BOTW!!"
Are you using a bot or something faggot?
>only one playable race
>only 3 basic classes
>can't do the cool shit that Morrowind does with spells
>don't have the freedom of movement and liberty to create your own story
>0 factions
I really like the first two gothic games but these daily threads are pure cancer
>>don't have the freedom of movement and liberty to create your own story
neither does Morrowind
>0 factions
not sure if you're just retarded or haven't played the game but that's a straight up lie
so what mod should I be using for modern resolutions? should I man up and use the default controls or not?
I maxed out long blade at like level 20, wasn't even hortator. Used short blade and spears since then. Although when I got to Solstheim I ran into a bit of trouble, my short blade and spear levels were only around ~40. Still keep old chrysamere laying around, just in case.
system pack, DX11 for gothic 2
I believe it is weaponized autism.
They believe if they wave shit under your nose long enough you will acquire a taste for it.
They are as stupid as they are dedicated.
but people love gothic and treat it as one of the best RPGs ever, it's just that not many people know about it because it was never advertised
There was an user who used to post a pic showing how Gothics quests were better than Twitcher 3s.
The premise was because they game set you up to fail you had all the fun of finding an alternate solution.
If there are a few quests like that fine.
If that is your design goal I hope you find an audience because people generally don't like to be fucked over again and again by design.
>game set you up to fail
You silly negro play the game first and then judge it, you have no idea what are you talking about.
i've seen that picture, and the game doesn't set you up to fail because you can kill that Orc if you're skilled enough.
And Gothic does what other old school classic RPGs did which is after accepting a quest sometimes you don't do it right away, you put is aside and do it later when you get a chance.
You get fucked by the Orc but you're not supposed to save and load 100 times and keep trying over and over (altough you could that if you want) but instead you focus on some other quest, and while doing that other quest you stumble upon stuff that will help you with the Orc quest.
But modern players don't understand that, because to them, if you get a quest, it means you should have no problem doing it because all the quests are good for your lvl
In Gothic 2 you could receive a hard as fuck quest that you would only be able to pull off when you're strong as fuck at level 1, because every quest in the game is basically already in your journal.
If you see a wolf and you kill it, and then later on you find a NPC that tells you "go kill that wolf", you're like "but i already killed that wolf before I even talked to you" and you just get the reward
