Yeah I like Skullgirls. Bought the game twice on consoles and PC. Wish they would make a Dragons Crown style game with it.

It kinda takes the parts I like least about Marvel and Guilty Gear and puts them in a blender. It's ok, but I'd rather play anything else but DOA and maybe MK.

Its kind of annoying how a character lands one light hit on you and starts a combo that lasts a long time so I have to just sit there and wait for it to be over before I can resume playing.

Yes, it's great. All the characters are cool and fun to play at least intermediately, I will never high-level.

My boy Beowulf got some interesting changes but it makes everything seem less solid. Not sure how I feel on that.

Alright. In a fighting game, I will just refuse to let the enemy touch me and play it perfectly to make sure my opponent doesn't land a single jab.

My problem isn't getting my ass kicked. Its that the combos just go on for so long that it just sucks the fun out of it because I have to sit there and wait for it to be over.

I can sort of understand not liking the big combos, but isn't that a big part of most fighting games anyways? Besides, isn't it satisfying as all hell to pull off a big combo yourself? I think that makes up for that imo.

More or less. It is a game i really wanted to like but i find a hard time to do so. Not many people play it and i dont like the lenght of the combos. Every time i go back into the game i find something i don't like about it.

I still still have it on pc and some neat shit i got from the kick starter but i just want to get rid of it.

The AI is retarded. I'm a low to mid level player (can do big combos, but not good with resets and throws. online matches I get rekt every time) and Nightmare difficulty is piss easy except for Marie and sometimes Peacock.

I'm also retarded, so its a pretty even match

I mean people keep saying this but whether or not it's Umbrella's color scheme, the colors are literally identical to Fluttershit. Hell the hex codes are probably the same. It's not a coincidence, especially considering R. Fortune's Rainbow Dash colors. Just means Umbrella's colors were based off of the pony.

its a good game i just wish i was better at it, i suck at reset heavy aerial based fighting games like the vs series too, and it doesn't help that i have no idea how to use assists, maybe if it was more grounded like Darkstalkers i could get used to it faster.

Try practicing with Cerebella's Cerecopter assist. It's pretty easy to chain into a combo once you get the timing down. Basically, in the middle of you combo, have Cerebella come out for the assist. Then before Cerecopter throws the enemy to the other side, dash into the enemy and continue the combo to keep the enemy from getting away. From there just practice a shit ton with other assists and find one that works well for you.

Ever had strawberry + banana yogurt? Fluttershy is not the first pink + yellow thing ever and the creator of the Skullgirls characters probably made Umbrella before brony shit was even a thing back. Skullgirls, the world is old as shit.

Parasoul's pink+yellow palette is definitely Umbrella's since Parasoul gets her skin color, boots, and umbrella color on her parasol
