Why japs are so much better at raiding than western players?
Ffxiv
Because they use PF for learning and then clear stuff in DF, which lowers the entry barrier for raids because you don't absolutely need a static.
>grinding shitty 4 boss raids for no good gear
We're not as autistic as the japs
Post your main Tank/Healer/DPS jobs.
tfw play on chocobo.
Because they pug their raids and don't tell everyone who hasn't cleared it day one to fuck off.
Though JP are still backstabbing cunts.
WHM
NIN/MCH
How do I fuck this thing?
>How do I fuck this
>healer
SCH
>DPS
BLM
>tank
PLD on my alt
why is it that this gets thrown around every single time the JP data centers are mentioned? isn't this pretty unbelievable given how you'd have to tell everyone to not do DF if you're new?
The only true answer:
>Tank
WAR
>Healer
WHM
>DPS
Physical Ranged: MCH
Caster: SMN
Melee: DRG
Personal Fav: MCH
who odin here
You don't have to tell them because they all already know it's rude as fuck to waste other people's time. "It's my sub I'll do what I want" isn't a common way of thinking for them
theyre not better, they just have more humility so people are more forgiving of shitters where as na players like to burn people at the stake if they mess up at all
I believe it's a matter of Japanese culture. It's considered impolite to play with strangers when you don't know what to do.
>they just have more humility
>japanese players
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>japanese
>more humility
It isn't that NA players roast people if they fuck up. That would be better than what we have currently. As they are now, NA players like to blame others to cover up their own mistakes, if the mistakes are even mentioned at all.
its not much but its still more than na players blaming literally everyone but themselves
because western players don't play weebshit loli bait games

If true, It's not like the west where they sell it.

>NA and EU combined outnumbers JP
Ok
>It's considered impolite to play with strangers when you don't know what to do
I don't think that's true, you get people saying it's their first time and stuff
I mean I can believe it if they properly looked up guides before trying out anything and tried to find ways to practice but every time that gets posted I feel like people think JP DF is some kind of "CLEAR PARTY MUST KNOW ALL MECHANICS"
Wish me luck!
>pirates and barbarians
>god tier
Only hyur is god tier
We wuz allagans
We wuz white mages
Males are okay, females are ugly
They need more scale options 2bh
Also the FF14 races are an improvement from the ugly FF11 counterparts
Spot what's wrong here.

Asians are better than everyone else at everything but being attractive

DPSing outside of cleric.

>Not attractive
Okay maybe most of them aren't just like most people in general really
Lalafucks deserve it
>don't worry I'm balmung spec'd
This!
Healer isn't fully respecting content!
But Japs are backstabbing cunts, especially the ones at Tonberry.
Not enough female Roes in this game
most attractive race/gender combo imo
that's only for male lalas
if that pose was for all races, they'd be making even more money
Soon they'll sell a upgrade for that emote which allows you to change the animation through /pose.
For only 5$!

when is the next patch anyway

Has leveling gotten easier?
It was always easy
It's definitely cultural, on average a JP player is more likely to not want to cause trouble by queuing into a DF without knowing what to do. You don't want to embarass yourself or be a burden.
IDK how it is in the west but I get the impression people are more carefree about being the one to impose on others peoples time. Like yeah things might go okay in the end, but even if its a wipefest they'll just be like lolol tough shit its just a game bro.
Risk taking/independent culture vs non-confrontational collectivist culture, its just that simple
28th March. It will contain the final story quests only. The patch after that is only to unlock creator savage and increase the tome cap. There will be no more content until Stormblood after that.
How many millions would it take for leveling all crafters from zero I fee like crafting my own shit just for the heck of it and it could be useful sometime in the future.
With PotD spamming as a dps, yes.
What's PotD?
Weaboos are infantile intolerant people
I know this is supposed to be ironic, but fuck me if it isn't true.
Depends on how fast you wanna go. If you use leves you can do it economically but will need to wait on leves, and they take time to actually do, running around delivering the shit you craft and stuff.
If you want to get them to 60 RIGHT NOW you could dump several tens of millions (maybe hundreds idk your server) into it with a lot of quick synths/normal synths after you've exhausted your leves.
But yeah, it's going to be expensive and time consuming. Apart from daily beast tribe quests and gc turnins, there arent many easy sources of crafting xp.
>queue as a BRD for frontlines
>end up in a group with 2+ other BRDs
>sometimes the other groups have no BRDs
WHY? I JUST WANT TO PEWPEWPEW!
>looking for reasons to quit
>Sup Forums encourages me to quit
See you guys in Stormblood
>they're advertising it on the launcher
Palace of the Dead, its in the Quarrymill, quest starts in the New Gridania landing place.
I'm really new, is it just a dungeon or something? What's so good about it?
Guess who has dumped over 150 leves for vilekins lately with poor luck. And I haven't1 even saved my first 10 millions yet.
Guess I'll take a slower pace and try to work thsi out somehow.
It's basically 1-10 floors of killing mobs then killing an easy boss. It can be very quick. I'd advise to use it for leveling only if you need to as a DPS, i.e. after leveling roulette and if you need a level or two for the MSQ, but you should still read your tooltips and practice your rotation on a dummy, so you won't be doing absolutely nothing.
It's also useful to level other DPS classes for Blood for Blood, invigorate and Quelling Strikes.
It's 200 randomized floors on sets of 10 and it's own unique gear so you can do floor 50 stuff while being a level 5 rogue for example. It's mainly used for grinding floors 1-10 and 51-60 since they yield the best exp.
Leve spamming in the easiest and probably cheapest way to do, you just will have to wait a bit for allowances sometimes.
There's guides out there for the most efficient high-quality leve turn-ins, and my max level FC crafters will just craft the items from straight normal quality materials.
It takes time and some cash, but its efficient and simple.
>tfw leveling crafting is more fun than leveling your combat jobs
...
Clearly you are someone who has never played FFXIV 2.0 on release.
Yes, it's atrociously easy now. All you have to do is go from main quest to main quest while skipping every side quest and every leve ever to reach the cap. You also get free gear that skips 95% of the instanced content grind and only requires you to farm one raid to attain max ilvl beyond that.
If you actually want to craft anything worth a damn too, even after reaching 60 you'll need to gear yourself out in ironworks and pentameld it and shit.
So yeah it's not an endeavour to be taken lightly and represents an extremely heavy investment.
>2.0
>not easy
It's an improvement compared to 1.0 which I've played.
>Clearly you are someone who has never played FFXIV 2.0 on release.
Clearly FFXIV was your first MMO if you think the leveling in this game was ever hard.
DRK/AST/MCH
Say one (1) modern MMORPG that has harder leveling dungeons than 2.0
Well I'm BiS geared with my two mains and I'ts still 3 months till stormblood so I might as well try my hand in this.
I feel sorry for anyone "lucky" enough to get 2-3 lines this week. Rewards are absolute dogshit.
>modern
I really can't, but ARR still was never difficult except for doing Wanderer's Palace and Amdapor Keep a week after launch. And leveling is so fast you could get a job to max within a week even at launch. I know because I got every job to 50 before 2.1 came out.
Do I really have no otcher choice than discarding my AF gear? Shit's filling my retainers but I don't want to just throw them away without any profit. And most of them aren't spiritbonded.
Use the chest on your inn
If it's the myth AF then you're fucked
You can put it in the armoire. You can also buy it back for 1 gil from the Calamity Salvager.
iirc only the level 45 ones can be put in the armoire, you can try stuffing the level 50 ones in the armoire too.
Okay, I'll bite:
>BLM not in Ley Lines (unless it's on CD)
>WHM not in Cleric Stance while DPSing
>DRG not having heavy thrust and BotD up
>DRK tanking
Now is definitely the time to do it if any. If you can get yourself up and running before SB hits, well any major new content release is prime moneymaking territory and theres nothing bigger than an expansion.
For crafters especially, early access is basically p2win, since while for combat jobs getting to see the new story/fights is just fun, but not a big deal if you're a week late to the party. But being first to 70 crafting and putting new items on the market first is huge.
So, what should I do with poetic tomestones?
120gear is worthless
If you want to do relic, save them
Where to begin...
>DRK no Darkside
>DRG no buffs whatsoever
>Healer doesn't have cleric stance on but is using Stone III
>Healer put a regen on BLM but not on the DRK who has been taking damage
Save it for starting gear on Stormblood jobs.
Will he take over Ul'dah in Stormblood?
Might as well go for it then. Is there any specific leveling order just to make things easier in the long run or can I just grab whatever profession I bump into first?
No, because now Lolorito is teaching Nanamo to be a proper leader instead of a bleeding heart idiot led by Raubahn's bullshit.
I want to be Raubahn's sultana
I'd be fine with him just pooping on my chest.
You want the ones with good early cross class skills first, so the rest will be slightly easier to do as you'll have better cross class skills to work with. Been a long time but iirc its something like, in no particular order
15 cul - hasty touch
37 cul - steady hand 2
15 alc - tricks of the trade
15 wvr - careful synth 1
50 wvr - careful synth 2
50 crp - bryegot's blessing
So yeah, get cul/alc/wvr to 15 quickly for convenience's sake, and in terms of bigger picture 'who to get to 50 first', wvr/crp are good candidates. Eventually you'll need all at 50 anyway since all the 50 skills are critical for endgame 60 crafting - but for a start the ones above arent bad.
>Nanamo to be a proper leader instead of a bleeding heart idiot
She did few stupid things, but come on. Political wise her only stupid decision was to leave her city without real government
She was smart enough to not let ala mhigo refuegees inside her city, for example
And even as a puppet king rulled more or less well, better than 2 others city state leaders at least
>All to 50
You can skip BSM. Their skills are useless.
