why is this game so blurry? is it a deliberate decision? i feel like i'm the only one who sees these screenshots and thinks they look really really bad for a 2017 game.

Doesn't look that blurry in game. Not the Switch version anyway, don't know about the Wii U

Game looks a bit washed out. I'd prefer to be able to toggle off some of the post-processing that's there to hide some blemishes. I value crisp visuals/color over blur/fog/bloom/dof

Or some AA and a stable frame rate in the 60s. Maybe focus on that.

Most Nintendo games do. Heck, Galaxy running at 60fps on the fucking Wii still blows my mind with how much better it looks than every other Wii game

3D Zelda has always been 30fps though

It's Nintendo playing to their art style strength because their consoles aren't powerful enough for anything more.
