Protip: You can't
Name a better boss fight
...
Had the best music.
Maria was a much more interesting fight mechanically.
Maria has better music
what makes it good? vaired + hard + fair?
psh nothin personel kiddos but both don't compare to living failures or laurence
>Maria was a much more interesting fight mechanically.
Oh hey another humanoid boss that I can parry spam. Really interesting stuff.
>bosses that utilizes a core mechanic in a rewarding and punishing way
Yeah really sounds like a snooze fest.
I think it was the most fair fight, most intresting character, with the best music, a good difficulty level and tied for Maria for the best fight mechanically.
Orphan > Maria > Ludwig
maybe even slightly better than Maria mechanically.* (Maria is my 2nd favorite)
In terms of mechanics, I'd put Orphan over Ludwig. It punishes every bad habit the player could have, from bullet spamming for parries, to mashing the dodge button. I let out the most autistic victory screech when I beat it after like 50 tries and I fucking loved it.
Ludwig > Maria > Orphan >>>>>>>>>>>>>LF>>>Laurence
>punishing way
Whats punishing about being able to parry spam? This isn't like DaS where if you mess up you're right next to the boss so you get hit. Parry windows are also 10x longer in BB.
>when living failures summon fucking cosmic meteors from the farthest reaches of the abyss
Made the fight worth it desu
Tabuu
Mundus stage 1 (DMC1)
best taste
...
somehow I found Orphan easy. Just played patiently and parried first form. Ludwig's first form gave me a much harder time. Got fucked up so many times.
Orphan of Kos or as some say, Kosm
Actually, i can.
not to mention the bloodborne version of 'mars' starts playing in the background
I coom every time
I had a lot more trouble with Ludwig's 2nd form than his first. I think I was so used to the timing on his first form's attack that the 2nd form always threw me off. As for the Orphan, I got his first form down after a while, but his 2nd form killed me a ton from how ass-clenchingly fast it was.
>the duality between his 2 phases, a rabid hard hitting beast and then a graceful hunter
First phase
>extremely difficult but fair
>has excellent 360' control with rear hoof kicks and underswipes (most souls bosses can be circlestrafed and trivialised)
>his AI knows when youre healing and will swipe at you if you heal too brazingly
>all his attacks are windows to counter-attack with no obvious cooldowns, rewards aggression and mastery
>A one-shotting charge thats extremely fair (unlike oceiros) and has cool motion blur when you dodge it
Second phase
>music changes from 4:4 common time to 3:4 waltz time, he starts attacking in slower waltz timings which messes with your muscle memory
>Gets a completely new moveset, more ranged control, AOE's
nah but to answer OP Bowser from super mario bros. 3
any Devil may cry 3 boss.
Mars? gimme deets breh
you mean by Gustav Holst?
do any other bosses do the music timing thing? i never play souls games with music, because i'd rather listen to my own library of music instead, but that sounds really cool.
>i never play souls games with music
Fucking motherfucking kill yourself or go replay all games now. Good god. I hope you don't consider yourself a Souls fan because you're certainly not one.
His first form is annoying and nothing outstanding, but the second form is pretty cool. I don't have a hard on for the MLGS so I was just happy to get the fight over with. I think the best bosses are Gascoine, Bloodletting Beast, Logarius, Gerhman, Maria, and Orphan. Least favorite boss in that game would be Ptooey Decendant. I like the Watchdog fight quite a bit but I think I'm in the minority on that one.
In dark souls 3 Dancer of the Boreal Valley, i'm sure theres others, outside of souls games too
>fair
>fair
>fair
>fair
How many times will you repeat a lie? He had plenty of bullshit attacks, some with almost no startup. There's barely a safe window to attack him. The charge is not fair at all either with its ridiculous hitbox. If you were talking about the second form then I'd agree. I know you aren't though.
>beat orphan my first try on NG+ level 79
>make a new character
>beat him again my second try at level 55
I wish this fight was harder for me I really do because it's so good
>getting this mad
the game is mostly without music outside of boss fights anyway so what's the point of wasting all that valuable time i could be listening to music? you should lighten up
>fair fair fair fair how many times must you repeat this lie
Twice apparently, I was answering an user who asked about his fairness
>He has plently of bullshit attacks with no startup
He has 3, one underbody slash/backstep that occurs when you are under his torso for too long, a series of snapping bites that occurs when youre in front of his head for too long, and a quick swipe jump towards you when you heal in front of his face. All of there are to punish greed, they are fair you're standing too close to him
>Theres barely a safe window to attack him
Literally every attack is exploitable
>Charge isn't fair at all and ridiculous hitbox
He literally will flare his nostrils and scream, wait a second and charge, his hitbox is a narrow oblong so it only takes one locked on dodge to avoid it if you dodge after he's charged
>If you were talking about his second form i'd agree but i know you aren't
you do know this because I titled it first form. I cant believe this blasphemy, some poor Jap worked really hard om giving you a near perfect boss and you can't appreciate it :(
Orphan of Kosm
Also, The Nameless King
Disagree. Ludwig took some dodging and moveset study for me to finally beat him.
I just go fucking ham on Maria and she dies after a few tries, no problem.
He's not even the best boss in his own fucking DLC.
Maria and Orphan were both better, thematically (maria) or straight up mechanic wise (orphan).
Ludwig becomes a joke in Phase 2.
