nod is clearly in the right while gdi is in the left
I can't argue with this.
I'll still call you a faggot, but you're right.
Also the Empire of the Rising Sun is the only other correct answer.
GDI was cool cause mammoth thanks. NOD was cool cause the hand of nod.
While I prefer the playstyle and overall aesthetics of GDI, I cannot find fault with your answer.
Is Red Alert 3 actually a good game?
It was ridiculously over the top. 6/10
Yes. RA3 had actually some semblance of balance, because it was being pushed by EA as an esport in an attempt to steal players from SC2 before SC2 was actually released. Shame EA stopped balancing and patching it.
fuck off
Don't believe GDI's lies
Which side does the champ play? youtube.com
The campaign is pretty good. The Red Alert series died a much more dignified death than Command & Conquer proper did. It was an RTS to the end.
Also it's a very pretty game, so that doesn't hurt. Shame about the FPS cap though.
Kane ____
LIVES!
For the technology of peace, brothers.
what are some video games where my top secret terrorist infantry training bunker is a giant fist
Funnily enough, the Command & Conquer games come to mind.
probably GDI, seeing as he was a marine himself
>pushed by EA as an esport
They tried that with C&C3 too to no avail, what with desyncs and all.
Funny how the only C&C game with 100% stable, working netcode turned out to be C&C4.
>tfw even if they make a C&C 5 and it's so good it redeems everything EA has ever done, Joseph won't be in it
PEACE THROUGH POWER
I think it wasn't until ra3 that EA went "full esport" though, with the tourneys and casts and shows and shiet

It's alright. Whoever EA had develop it, you can tell they at least were trying to make a good game.
What NOD was fighting for made more sense in Tiberium Sun than in C&C, because in Sun the NOD recruits were all people left behind in the abandoned zones filled with toxic tiberium.
In C&C they were just slavs and north africans rebelling against the status quo.
Let's be real here, the GDI were the good guys.
Well duh, Michael Biehn was a commander in it.
Why tho.

He's old now. Let him enjoy his retirement doing theater. I imagine hanging out with the gaming crowd, whether be fans or devs, extremely stressful
He's gotten kinda old. He likes to teach fight coreography for theater these days.
Ah, well, i guess you CAN kill the messiah.
He never said he was god, just the next best thing.
Kane?
Yes. It has its issues, but it was still a C&C game through and through. I also love the nip faction for my mecha and schoolgirl fetishes. Graphics are also still nice too--the water especially.
Anybody remember battlecast primetime? Shit was comfy as fuck. Best episodes when they got Joe Kucan himself to come on.
We need a Kodiak / GDI shop of that scene
Very flawed but very enjoyable. Props to them for sticking with live-action cutscenes. JK Simmons is a fantastic US president.
>nips
>ever being good
FIRST ONE TO TALK GET'S TO STAY ON MY AIRCRAFT
>nip faction
Is fucking terrible against Allied air rush tactic, especially in small maps
A Vindicator with Advanced Aeronautics can shut down its base. One bomb destroys building cores, and an upgraded vindicator has three.
Rising Sun units have the advantage of being the strongest of the 3 factions, but they're also the most expensive in a game where you won't be getting tons of money.
That being said Allies are generally the easiest group to play because all Allies have to do is rush airbases and they can crush RS antiair because they can just get it out faster.
Soviets have the best armored division
Allies have the best airforce
Empire has the best infantry
There, I saved everyone the argument because that's the simple facts.
>crush RS antiair
Allied aircraft can shutdown a base even before anti-air gets built. That face when an Apollo can destroy three Tengus.
But who has the best naval units?
Empire is massively shafted on AA anyway. AMs are Uprising only, VX turrets are dogshit, Strikers are dogshit, Seawings are utter dogshit, Tengus work only when in groups of 20 or more.
Rising Sun, easily. But that's countered by the fact that you could always just not do a water map
Those EMP missiles the Allied carrier has seem super OP though
Or just suck them up with the soviet gravity ability
Twin-barrel tanks are the greatest creation on this earth. Whether it's the Mammoth Tank or Apocalypse Tank, it's beautiful
What about the overlord tank and the heavy tank?
They're welcome too
It's decent, but carriers themselves are the only T3 naval unit that can be countered by AA and/or fighters.
Hydrofoils are borderline broken though.
I don't like how C&C 3 got rid of all the mechs from TibSun.
I wanted mass produced mammoth mkII's
It has J K Simmons as the President, The Hoff as his Veep, George Takei as the Emperor of Japan, Tim Curry as the Soviet Premier, three hotties as your mission control, and the expansion has Ric Flair as a US General. Even by Red Alert standards, its completely and utterly bonkers.
Its fucking awesome.
>three hotties as your mission control
And I swear all 3 did porn
Didn't it have John Cena and Randy Couture as well
>that Mt. Rushmore mission
I have limits to my patience
let's not forget the best woman of the series
C&C4 has them and they're great.
And they have evil Brit voice acting not at all reminiscent of AT-ATs.
Shame about the other 99% of the game, but still.
I know she's not ra3 damnit
I'm drunk
Wrong girl
Autum Reeser is the best girl. When I played I kept on thinking that Taylor Townsend from the OC has grown up to become a competent allied commander.
>Mt. Rushmore
you just use every cryoshot you have on the limo, that alone gives you twice the time and doesn't bring in the off-map Apollos.
How about post-patch Kane's Tower?
Last time I tried it on hard, it took me hours and I somehow won (with 1 generator left) only because Black Hand has been buffed to the point where they're vulnerable only to snipers.
>you just use every cryoshot you have on the limo, that alone gives you twice the time and doesn't bring in the off-map Apollos.
Sometimes when a cryocopter gets shot down, it can randomly fall on the limo and destroy it. Game's a bitch like that.
Really, you should know better than to trust someone with that many medals.
That's why I said cryoshot. Using cryocopters makes Apollos spawn off-map.
Oh right, forgot they were two separate things.
Use the cryo support power, not the cryocopter. Alternatively position the copters so that the debris doesn't fall down on the limo if they get shot down
...
Would you not trust Uncle Joe?
Even Stalin wasn't that excessive with his medals. Krukov is pulling some north korean shit.
I was a SPfag when the MP was active, so I wouldn't know. If MP was active I'd love to get to know the meta and git gud.
Regardless, and as I said, I love the mecha and delicious cliches they pull the for the nips especially. The game needs some serious balance patches; if EA would like to prep us for a C&C revival, I think giving C&C3 and RA3 said patches would be a good start.
Sadly enough that still wont fix it 100% because ive seen the shot down Apollos land on the car.
Cryo spport is a decent idea though, Ill have to try that.
Plot-wise not any worse than RA2.
Gameplay-wise it's okay I guess, not as much fun as RA2 but it could be because many LAN experiences in RA2 that I had, also yuri omega expansion is pretty fun in RA3.
Kane dindu nuffin, Tiberium is a technology of peace.
What about this hero of the people?
Are you even trying?
KW gave you more mechs. But yeah, C&C3 doesn't feel like a successor to TS. Good game regardless though.
C&C never, ever got balance right.
In fact, I wonder what was the single most broken, stupidly OP thing in C&C?
Nod artillery from vanilla TS comes to mind.
>homing artillery shells that destroy a Titan in 2 hits and deform terrain
>HOMING
>the only moving unit they can't hit is an attack cycle
Yeah the whole key to base defense in TS as Nod was to just build your walls then put artillery behind it.
I think the MP kinda died quickly, the scene lasted maybe not more than 2 years. EA just could not balance the game. I remember the last version was 1.12 or something
damn
Also, was Korea not split in the Red Alert universe?
>destroy a Titan in 2 hits
No it destroys a Wolverine in 2 hits. A Titan takes like 8
Nope.
Judging by the RA2 maps, China also never went full communist, either.
South Korea lends its (incredibly OP) bombers to the allies in 2.
How do I recapture Hammerfest base? The obelisk and the artillery keep on rekting me
Don't remember it by heart, but if you head into the artillery, you're already doing it wrong.
You're supposed to find a power plant powering the obelisk. Look around for destructible cliffsides.
did gemma atkinson ever do porn?
I know balance can be difficult to achieve for RTS games, but I'm a amazed how they couldn't get it done considering their push it becoming an e-sport. Speaking of, why didn't the gooks get into C&C like they did with SC? Is it really all about that balance?
If I remember right, you can knock out the power to the obelisk by blowing up some power plants.
So RA1 took place in the late 40s-very early 50s (since Stalin died in 53), and RA2 was the 1970s.
When does RA3 take place?
It's a widely held understanding that a benevolent Dictatorship is the best form of government. Brotherhood of Nod was in the right. They were only reduced to meeting force with force when they corrupt and bureaucratic nations of the world sought to preserve the ivory towers of the 1% while throwing the proletariat at the NOD military complex in order to thin the herd as well as slow global progress and delay world-wide peace and prosperity.
No, not even a topless shoot
Which would be fine if Kane's true goal wasn't simply pure domination.
See this - the power plant was at where red glow remains.
Speaking of, why didn't the gooks get into C&C like they did with SC?
I think it was mostly Westwood Online and the netcode in general being rather shit compared to Battle.net, although balance certainly played a role.
The fucking "muh e-sports" is cancer. Good thing it didn't happen to C&C,better let it rest in peace than becoming a shambling corpse that SC2 is.
1986
Kane of course. Loyalty for Power. Besides the GDI was almost always the antagonist in otherwise peaceful progression until CNC3.
Hey guys i have the first decade C&C collection
id install all the games but i need a CD for each fucking game
anyone know where i can just get a pirated copy of each game?
thanks in advance
