PC part list

Would anyone be willing to go over my PC part list to see if I'm going overboard or if I get better stuff?

Get a 7770k for a little more if possible, you don't need that motherboard at all for that rig, you could save $100 there, get a small SSD to use as your boot drive as it's the best improvement you can make for a system for the price

If there's anything left over try to get a better GPU

I mainly picked out the motherboard bc of onboard wifi and rgb, and couldn't I just boot of the HDD instead? There's very little performance difference

You don't need that expensive RGB ram either, that's another $50+ down the drain.

That list makes it look like you threw all the money into ram/motherboard, the two components that will have the least impact on performance and skimped on the rest

There is a huge performance difference, an SSD can be at least 50% faster than a 7200rpm hard drive, it is the single most noticeable upgrade you can make for the money

I get that I'm screwing out most of the performance for rgb but this is kinda my dream build currently so I'd keep those things the same.

As for the SSD and HDD couldn't I just buy a SSD later on just for a faster bootup?

>buying hardware for fucking rgb lights
>cheaping out on the disk storage
>thinks ssd have "very little performance" difference
>uses pc master race reaction pic
What a fucking joke

Its going to be a pain in the ass to migrate the OS

This has to be bait

You could, but SSDs are so cheap right now, hell I'm using a 128gb from my 2013 build as my boot/game drive and it's still going strong.

I get that you want it to look good but what you have now, especially the 1060, is like a ricer car or whatever with a really shitty engine. It's a really bad time to buy a 1060 anyway since it's getting nearly a year old and even the AMD 480 is starting to compete with driver updates

You're essentially spending $100 on a motherboard that has features that you won't use (sli/xfire/faster pci) just for a few cents worth of LED lights

Why did you even make the thread if you're not going to listen to advice?

I'm taking the advice of the SSD argument

Memester OP aside, how's my build?
Note the op psu, I'm planning on crossfire in the future
pcpartpicker.com/list/WJCZvV

I have a better idea, OP.
this

Buy a couple of thousand of those.

The motherboard was a way of "future proofing" just Incase later on I wanted to get dual GPU's, and talking about GPU's I gave myself a budget of 300$ to spend on one and this was what everyone said was the best 1060 but I guess they were wrong

That's literally every "console killer build" YouTube video ever

Take all the advice. Dont buy hardware because theyll look good. Buy the good preforming ones and get a lot more out of you pc.

First dont buy an i7 if youre just going to game. Get an i5
Get a better graphics card or youll regret it later
Who cares if you dont have RGB get rid of that shit from the motherboard and RAM and save some money
AND FOR THR LOVE OF GOD GET A SSD

That's literally every "console killer build" YouTube video ever

See OP this is a man who knows what hes looking for. Good build

I'm not getting an i7 for gaming only, I wouldn't be that autistic.

RX480 is a much better alternative to the 1060gb in the long run. The 8gb will be more commonplace in gayms.

That's literally every "console killer build" YouTube video ever

Thanks desu :^)

Is a RX480 able to run dual SLi?

Unfortunately with budget in mind and getting the best price/performance ratio it tends to gravitate towards youtube memes

No no no no stop, the 1060 has no SLI bridge, the only way you can use multiple 1060s is in DX12 games, of which there are like three

And? Its a good build. Why do you think that many people are recomending it. What would you change or recommend?

Dual crossfire, yes

not good

take a cue from this, it's much more powerful, costs pretty much the same, and even has an SSD for a boot drive

pcpartpicker.com/list/fcC7d6

I wouldn't get crossfire/SLI for one as support is pretty poor right now (they're expecting DX12 to take care of it), and it's not really something you can fix but the CPU gets destroyed by a four year old 4670k since they can easily overclock to 4.2-4.4 on air for games

OP here, I added a 120GB sandisk SSD so you guys can stop bitching about that, now if you guys could recommend GPUs that are good for streaming, can run dual SLi and that can run let's say GTA5 at 120fps 1080p that would be great

Build poster here
What CPU do you recommend?
I really wanted to stay away from k cpus because them you need the cooler and better mini chipset

What else does this need?

pcpartpicker.com/list/hZYWwV

An ssd

Wifi if you aren't going to do a wired connection

1070

Go fuck yourself. Were actually trying to help you out and you call it bitching. I hope you enjoy youre overpriced toy you fucking loser

Meant for

A gpu

Not even going to read the thread because it's probably mostly bullshit but most of this is retarded.

-Get a 7700k. Very close in price and better performance.
-You do not need to spend $180 on a mobo. There will likely be a serviceable one in the $100-120 range.
-You won't be able to use multiple RAM sticks at that clock. 3000 and above is single stick only.
-Don't buy seagate. HGST or WD is preferred.
- Getting a 1060 after a 7700k and spending this much is retarded. Get a 1070 at least.
>Buying Windows

Which ones better

What are you using the computer for mainly?

games

I'm spending extra on motherboard for built in wifi and for other reasons, you caught my eye on the RAM though, could you explain that to be a little more cause I don't want to get screwed

Then a gpu. Moving your OS onto an ssd later will be a pain but at least you can play some games

Then get a gpu

>No SSD
>2x8GB... Not filling all RAM slots
>Possibly underpowered PSU
>No keyboard
>No mouse
>No monitor

Like I said it's not really something you can fix, a few generations go for roughly the same price you'd get a k model with the cooler included but intel will be intel. Just keep in mind some games (e.g. BF1 for the few months of release) rely a lot on single core performance. It won't affect most games.

On the crossfire thing which I don't recommend, it should be noted the 480s draw ~460 watts under load, so you might be cutting it a little close with that PSU

Would I be able to play most games with that build?

Thanks for the real advice man. I probably won't get another 480 but the psu under this one is like 10 bucks cheaper

Not without a gpu. Not trying to be mean but dude, do some research. Even a few youtube videos

Yeayou chose a solid build. Nothing fancy but still good. Just choose the right gpu and you should be good

the keyboard and mouse I want are on a different list, they aren't specifically required atm cause I own that basic shit

how many rgb lights do those have :^) ?

It's not like you need 32gb to play BF1 dude

What GPU are you getting, what's your budget atm, etc?

>What is 2x4

Play-Asia has Windows 10 OEM for $10, in case your going through with this build

Only the mouse, but it's a Logitech mouse that has removable weights so it's pretty good

I was going to go with kinguin cause they'll give me a refund if it doesn't work for some reason

god, you're like a walking, talking stereotype

It's a good mouse for fucks sake, it's not like I'm some faggot who bases their entire build off of red and black like some edgy as teen who works at hot topic

That's 8gb, that's what you need for just everyday gaming

No you're an edgy teen that requires "muh RGB"

So what GPU etc are you going with?

>mouse has removable weights so it's pretty good

Give us the model number bro.

If you want 8 GB, get 4 * 2GB.
If you want 16 GB, get 4 * 4GB.

It's better to fill all RAM slots.

His board has 4 dimm slots. I guess I meant 4x4. Sorry for trying to be edgy

Nah, you're the ricer faggot with the rainbow keyboard and gamer glasses. Don't forget to order your Cashews of Chaos.

...

OP again, quit being dicks about the rgb, it's mainly for asthetic.

And for the people who say I should buy a third part odm key for the OS I will.

>it's mainly for asthetic.
Yes, that's why we're making fun of you.

What is the model of your mouse bro? I got the G600.

...

>except I'm not getting rgb keyboard
Quit being such a nigger about rgb,
It isn't my fault that you have a seziure everytime someone mentions it.

>it's mainly for asthetic
How's 8th grade treating you?

I'll get the G560? I don't know if that's the model but I know it's a G500 and something

You're getting a 6700k, at least get a noctua fan or an all in one water cooler so it can turbo up to 4.9ghz on its own. The 212 evo is fine but it will sound like a jet engine when the cpu turbos up.

Where is your SSD? You can get a 128gb intel NVME ssd for 65$ on newegg. You're paying for an i7, at least feed it properly with an SSD.

Also unless you're content creating, an i7 might be pointless.

You made this thread, you have no one to blame but yourself. It's not our fault that you decided to publicly embarrass yourself on this particular day.

I added a 120gb SSD after all the heat, and I'll be doing content creation at some point

What's your youtube? I'll be sure to subscribe!

>2x8GB... Not filling all RAM slots
z270 is a dual channel board. You'd hurt performance by filling all the slots in this instance.

>how can you embarrass yourself on Sup Forums

>and I'll be doing content creation at some point

I wouldn't share my YouTube on Sup Forums if I had a gun up to my head, plus it's just shitty ps4 uploads atm

You wouldn't have the balls to post an MP3 of your breathing OP

How do you expect to get views and subs then?
Or is it because you're 12 and or autistic?

Good decision, everything else is solid. Don't let all these sperglords get to you over your other choices. You did alright other than the ssd.

Try that again in english, please.

Thanks OP

Kek

>PS4

That's some creepy fetish shit right there

OP again,
Thank you to the people who suggested SSD's and sparing me the bootup time.

Also thanks to the people who wouldn't only critique the choice of rgb components and, would actually point out good things such as possibly a better GPU or buying the OS from somewhere else than Microsoft.

I'm simply saying he's a anti social basement dweller

Now continue posting le epic masterrace reaction pics like the poser kid you are

>simply

Nah youre a fucking weirdo

That's your opinion man

Do you know any script I could use with my rgb? such as playing music upon login?
