Video Game Confessions

I have never played any Zelda games.

The only Nintendo game I've played since the SNES was Wii Sports but lately I enjoy pretending to know what I'm talking about in Switch related threads.

i've honestly played like 2 games in the past 2 years

The only FF games I've played for more than a few minutes are FFX and FFVI and I didn't get anywhere near beating either of them.

And between those, Pokemon, and Golden Sun I feel like I've played enough JRPGs for one lifetime.

I've never played a Castlevania or a Metroid game.

Me neither, nor have I played a Metroid, F-Zero, Star Fox or many of Nintendo's "representative" IPs As in, ones of characters who have appeared in Smash as playables.

I don't like OoT. I find it way too grim dark.

Have you played Majora's Mask? I feel like it's quite a bit darker.

I've only played Majora's Mask and ALTTP. I just don't find the Link character to be all that interesting or even likeable. I'm sure he's probably deliberately bland so you can picture yourself in his role a bit easier, but I'd much rather create a character if that were the case. BOTW would have been an instant buy for me if I could make my own character.

If Link had more personality I'm sure I'd have played most of the games by now. I love characters like Ratchet and Sly. They make me want more games from their series'. Mario's personality isn't quite as enjoyable as the other two, but he's still more interesting than Link.

nope. never got an expansion pak so I couldn't play it.

I bought a Wii just for Skyward Swords and enjoyed it.

I almost never finish games.

That is all I can think of. 16 + pokemon. Lots of them very short. I've played and loved so many games though, I just never finish them.

I've never beaten or finished a game. I like video games to a degree but the stories and dialogue are always so fucking lame, especially in comparison to good films, that I lose interest and never finish them. I also get frustrated at dying and repeating shit.

well that is true, I absolutely hate video game stories. But there are plenty of good games where the story takes the backseat or doesn't even have one

how have you not beaten portal ? are you girl or did just simply not try.

The PS2 was overrated and a waste of my money.

I have dozens of critically acclaimed of AA and AAA games, But I never finish them or even sink more than a couple of hours before putting tem aside and never playing them again, all while I sink thousands of hours into a bunch of shitty MMORPGs and I am pretty bad at them as well

So now that I typed them out, I realize actually have finished quite a few. But still, most of those were when I was a kid, and I only beat 5-10% of the games that I play, so I feel guilty about it

True, which is why I enjoy a lot of Nintendo games.
