I HAVE A QUESTION WHY IS CALLED ZERO ESCAPE?
Why not escape from Zero, or zero's game.
Zero escape sounds weird
I'm in!
Because there is Zero Escape.
People stopped giving a fuck about spoilers long ago, bud
Ive yet to see an in-depth plot discussion about ZTD. Seems like the extent of them is just people asking random questions about the myriad of things they dont understand or plotholes in general. The games definitely a mess.
Zero Escape series sucks cock, Spike Chunsoft sucks dick, ZTD failed hard.
What's the difference between cock and dick?
999 made me feel here and there
VLR had me go OH FUCK a couple of times and also feel
ZTD gave me memes
ARE YOU FUCKING HYPE?
>tfw no game will ever have an atmosphere as good as 999 again
if i haven't played any of the games can i start with zero time dilemma on pc?
You're right I should go back and reread it again.
Wait a week:
alright sweet
always wanted to play this series
guess i better split since i've forgotten whatever spoiler i read months ago and don't want to repeat
2 >= 1 > flash escape games > dog shit >>>>>>>>>>> 3
>2 ever being better than 1
Holy fuck, that is an extreme case of shit taste
>collection coming to PS4
>ZTD still only on PC/Vita/3DS
Why do this
>Just finished Zero Time Dilemma and it was pretty fucking amazing
Because you're better off never playing ZTD.
How are they going to do the 9 year timegap twist if they only have 1 screen to work with?
>999fags still this clingy to their barebones VN
VLR is better by miles.
>b-but muh edgy gore descriptions!!!
>series is called Zero Escape
>manage to escape
>on the moon
A SHOCKING TURN, when's the strange collection out?
I mean, I liked ZTD. But it still doesn't make sense to have a collection of just two games in a trilogy.
Every single thread.
People who play the ZE games in fast succession won't have an issue with ZTD.
You know who has an issue with that game? Us. The fans who have been here for years, theorizing and theorizing, and looking forward to the game that was meant to solve all our questions.
People who get into the series these days will never understand why ZE3 was a fucking shitshow.
Remember11 has a pretty good atmosphere too.
I'm happy there were many memes. I swear, I felt devasted and robbed after finishing ZTD, but the memes saved me from feeling as angry as the ME3 Fiasco.
Used to go to Sup Forums just to scope new ZTD memes after I finished it. A surreal feeling.
It was a very dark time t b h. It felt like we were all masking our emense sadness in laughter.
>caring about the plot
Lmao. You watch porn for the plot too?
I hope you weren't playing VLR or ZTD for the puzzles...
They weren't very good.
They will. Before I started playing ZTD I played both games before to refresh my mind about certain plotpoints. The recurring characters acted completely different and most of the time really stupid. What the fuck was wrong with Akane and Sigma?
VLR puzzles are the best of the franchise by far.
999 and ZTD puzzles are toddler shit in comparison.
What else would I play a puzzle game for? I hope you weren't playing it for the plot because it was literally high school creative writing.
Nobody should buy The Nonary Games, fuck this franchise, let it die.
ZTD ruined everything, die from cancer Spike Chunsoft.
>someone made the dianaexplosionwhoops.gif before the game came out
>the fucking button scene
IT ALL WORKED OUT
You played as young Sigma's consciousness in old Sigma's body in VLR and vice-versa in ZTD so I can kind of forgive that, but Akane and Junpei have no excuse. I guess you could argue that the events of the first game had a huge effect on their personalities, but fucking hell they were terrible. Felt more like two random teenagers than the characters we already knew.
>VLR puzzles are the best of the franchise by far.
When the game is supposed to be room escapes
Not really.
VLR and ZTD are both "whoops, you're locked in a room! Solve this puzzle completely unrelated to the actual room to get out!"
999 is the only one that truly was an escape-the-room game.
ZTD might not have been the best in story wise, but it built the characters fantastically and that's why its passes as a decent zero escape title to me
say what you want but the ending with Sigma and Diana being stuck together for 10 months fucking hit my feels good
and 999 puzzles are still garbage. Your point?
>ZTD might not have been the best in story wise, but it built the characters fantastically
stop
Take off your name if you respond to yourself
Jesus these threads are just sad. It's time to let go.
...
I feel like the game had too few sequences of Eric getting the shotgun.
It had too many sequences of Sigma doing jackshit despite being able to overpower anyone there
...
THE DOG KILLED MIRA?
...
The threads before ZTD released were the best.
I could come up with such better puzzles.
>be in room with grated floor
>key for something is in big old block of ice
>if you just smash it against the floor you lose the key because the pieces fall down
>game over
...
I genuinely hope Diana and Sigma killed themselves in that ending
Seriously, having to watch their babies die before dying themselves would have been fucking awful
When Clover was explaining how she was gonna fucking cross time and space and she said "Schrodinger's cat" she was talking about quantum entanglement
Just the thought of them hanging somewhere in the shelter or some shit or shooting themselves because they'd rather do that then starve to death
F U C K
Because successfully escaping from Zero's games is generally pretty low.
Nah, 999 and VLR were fun. ZTD was meh and disappointing but I still enjoy the series as a whole.
Nah. Happy that a remake exists but I'm not buying it unless there is a super sale. Played 999 and VLR to death. I'd rather play a new game for the price vs replaying them again.
Fucking no. Volume 1 and 2 are being released for PC in like a week. There is no reason to start on Volume 3.
3 isn't that good anyway.
You could use DeSmuME and Citra to play the old games right now on PC.
I was talking about being officially released/remade for PC. However, if you want to use emulation as an argument then that leaves even less reason to start with ZTD.
Emulation of 999 and VLR can be a bit hit and miss in my experience though.
Fucking hell,999's bad endings are paradox
How the fuck Akane can see them? I understand that Akane can see possible futures but the bad endings are impossible by definition.
Fucking Uchikoshi does it again
>too poor to buy ZTD for a few months after launch
>quit Sup Forums for five months
>quit most of the internet for three months
>hack and downgrade my 3DS somewhere along the line
>mind hacks and alien fax machines
I was so mad.
I didn't even get to see the meme threads at their prime.
>but the bad endings are impossible by definition.
How? She can see possible futures and goes through a bunch where she doesn't get the answer she needs. Eventually she finds one that does. What part of that is impossible?
>Sigma
You didn't pay much attention.
>zero escape
>everyone escapes
Junpei felt understandable for a little bit since he was having trouble processing seeing Akane again but yea even after he forgives her he still acts all emo.
I didn't think there was anything wrong with Akane because reality is she's been acting every other time we saw her. Then like you said Sigma was a much older version of himself who was essentially a different person.
Bad endings are a paradox, don't you understand?
Akane is not saved > Akane dies at the past > 2nd nonary game does not happen
>She can see possible futures
They're not possible
You assume the timeline branches from where she is looking and that is not how it works. There is not a fixed point before she looks and one Akane there.
She only dies in those timelines. There are multiple universes. Dying in one timeline doesn't mean she dies in all of them. You say they are not possible because you are deciding how a non existent thing like seeing through timelines works.
Players can get the endings in almost any order. That should clue you in to the fact that they aren't happening one after another. They happen simultaneously which VLR expands on. You are experiencing them in a linear order but that's not how they "happened" that's just how our time actually works so that's how you'll experience them but like I said I probably got a different bad ending than you my first time. This difference in players playthroughs represents that the timelines exist nonlinearly.
>She only dies in those timelines. There are multiple universes
But that doesn't make sense, are you telling me the moment Junpei fails to save her she disappears?,they don't even explain what happens afterwards the safe ending
>Dying in one timeline doesn't mean she dies in all of them
user,if she dies none of this happens this is a paradox and has not been adressed.
You say they are not possible because you are deciding how a non existent thing like seeing through timelines works.
They're not possible because that's how time travel things works, see the grandfather and hitler paradoxes.
So I'm at the point where Q's headcode is revealed. I did everything unlocked so far. How do I get all those other codes like for the force quit boxes and the door?
How are they going to do the sudoku puzzle at the very end? Having to flip the DS over so you really were from loli Akane's POV was so awesome.
>zero escape
>0 percent of escaping
Gee I don't know user. Maybe they wanted to drive home the fact that there's that small a chance of escaping?
Because in 999's true ending, Zero escapes

an hour late but here you go
I wish that ZTD just went completly off the rails with the people jumping from other timelines mentally and physically, I really enjoyed how crazy things got until Delta showed up and it slowed way down.
Like what if someone (Like Akane or Phi) physically traveled over to a different timeline (In the middle of it happening so there is no doubles in every single timeline) -They could have gone to the baby ending and since the player already saw it the babys have already been sent back so theres no way to undo it and the physical time traveler could mess it up more, maybe cause Diana or Sigma to shift to earlier in the game (Like the vote or something)
What if there were two Sigma's, both alive, in one timeline because of the fax machiene but then one of them fucks something up causing him to shift into the otherones body but back at the moment they met?
Throwing Kyle in could mess it up too, could a clone and a shifter swap places? probably Could Sigma in VLR swap places with a K who is in a doomed timeline in VLR? What if he swapped places and jumped to the 'start' of VLR and had to play that nonary game while pretending to be Kyle? And what if the Sigma from VLR gets freaked out and manages to jump to his 22 year old body which is currently playing the decision game?
What if Akane swaps places with herself in the very first nonary game and Junpei and Carlos have to look after a very confused 9 year old girl?
Theres already the plot thing in ZTD where There are two Carlos' in every timeline a few months before the game even starts so I wish it just went full time fuck
Would've been more fun than what we got.
...
...
What happened with Akane talking about that parasite thing? I thought they were going to imply the player was ? and that ? was the parasite.
She threw out all these random theorys but it never really came to anything.
...
I'd recommend playing 999 on a DS emulator at least because its obvious the game was structured for it
I have no idea how any of the remakes handle the second screen, I feel like it would ruin the structure of the twist
>Just finished Zero Time Dilemma and it was pretty fucking amazing
Fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you
and now they're putting Junpei's boring ass VA into 999
What parts did you like?
>Just finished Zero Time Dilemma and it was pretty fucking amazing
Holy fuck.
>tumblr filename
>it's a good game because of one ending about muh Sigma x Diana
Typical ZTD defender.
What characters do you mean? Because giving someone ginger eyebrows isn't 'building character'
Random red herring theories were already present in 999. Remember All-Ice?
I'd say thank god I'm a weeb and don't have to deal with that, but Junpei's voice is equally trash in jap.
I'm fine with All-Ice because they followed up on it at the end, the things Akane talks about don't.
So, who was the best protagonist and why was it Sigma?
You don't need to worry about the force quit boxes yet
He just was.
