Don't worry, you can just purchase an official Nintendo branded USB ethernet adapter!

you can buy any ethernet adaptor and it'll work, you can even buy a USB-C ethernet adaptor and play with wired internet in handheld mode if you want.

I don't even have that shit and I've literally never had wifi problems on Splatoon on Wii U. Whereas Smash and even sometimes Mario Kart 8 bonk all the time.
