>Capcom and Marvel have used words like "simplistic" and "accessible" to describe Infinite,
well rip in peace mvc:i, what needs to happen for these fags to understand that simplifying does nothing? Casuals only want to button mash and beat story. Hardcore want to grind and learn a deep / rewarding game. If you make it extremely simple and straightforward then LITERALLY NOBODY WINS! Very few casuals care about going pro, and if they really wanted to, they would go for it no matter how 'hard' the game is. When, WHEN will they finally understand this? How many more failures?
wouldn't it be interesting if people other than ultra try hards decided to play online and were actually good (or at least seemed good)? the over complexities of fighting games are why they aren't as popular anymore as say when arcades were a thing, doesn't help that all the recent fighting games were also dogshit but oh well
Good now I won't to do a j2C spam to do infinite just press A
Jackson Morales
Yeah, it's like Mahvel3 was harcore as fuck or something
Luis Hill
I don't really think casuals care if the game is accessible. They're going to buy/ play it regardless.
Levi Gonzalez
i bet it will still have hidden high-level tech that lab monsters will discover, and "glitches" that allow for stupid shit like infinites like in marvel 3
Aaron Harris
Just put out Deep Down already and die. Looks like their last bit of creative effort.
Jordan Evans
People need to understand that simply if doesn't mean easy. MvC3 simplified the formula with a launcher button and less buttons but no one ever says the game has no depth. Marvel games in general are meant to be easier than others because it has easy chains but it's the player base that breaks the game and makes it deep
Xavier Morris
Simplified*
Josiah Scott
so are they going to push the casual route until it doesn't sell like they want then go hardcore for tourney fags again like they did with SF5
Liam Cook
post yfw they add autocombo
William Barnes
>but no one ever says the game has no depth Most people say that about MvC3.
Parker Campbell
They say it's broken and unfair but not that it's not deep.
Robert Green
MvC has always meant to be a casual FG with lots of spectacle to draw in people
MvC2's depth (a tier list of 10 or so broken characters that more or less balance themselves against eachother, a cast of low tiers that are basically another game) is an anomaly and probably impossible to willingly replicate
Ayden Perry
People just need to wait for ACTUAL gameplay before saying anything and making judgements. Y'all just thirsty as fuck.
Daniel Sanchez
>Infinite is simplistic >SFV is in a good place
Capcbros WILL defend this >b-but people only play capcom games anyways even if I wanted to play something new Kill you'reself my man, so long as there is ONE(ichi) other person to play against, the game is not dead.
Jason Stewart
Wait what the fuck Capcbros Capdrones Capfags Niggers
Alright I can understand Nintendo and Sony censoring, but capcom? Give me a break you dicksucking mods.
Brody Campbell
Go back to not playing Guilty Gear and KoF.
Juan Smith
no problems with crapcum
Jackson Watson
i dont understand why capcom needs to make infinite simplistic though didn't mvc3 already do that?
Xavier Lopez
Go back to sucking capcums dick for selling you an early access game for full price and hewing the fuck out of you for costumes and characters you have to grind for once you exhaust your FM you earned from story, arcades, and survivals which amount to about 4 or so characters out of the soon to be 10
Christopher Howard
People don't seem to know that the person who said that was the Capcom CEO in Europe being interviewed for a business site. He has no real idea about how the game is actually panning out and is probably just saying that for PR purposes.
Carter Moore
I don't even play SF. I play Marvel and Guilty gear instead of shit posting and not actually playing games.
Evan James
>We want the game to be simpler >but also we want e-sports twitch views and tournaments
This is EXACTLY what killed SFV. Capcom hasn't learned a damn thing.
Jack Anderson
k but will they add Shuma Gorath, Venom and Blackheart? Capcom literally uses Shuma Gorath better than marvel ever did
Camden Morales
i dont know if i should really say this since im trash at pretty much all fighting games but man im almost afraid that capcom is going to destroy fighting games
Landon Carter
For anyone who wants the actual article instead of gamestops click bait.
This guy clearly has no idea about fighters so I wouldn't trust him.
Xavier Hughes
Shuma has been present for most of the versus series. I know I can't say for sure, but I don't see why they wouldn't put him in.
Julian Evans
>what needs to happen for these fags to understand that simplifying does nothing What needs to happen for you to understand that complexity of previous MvC games (MvC3 in particular) is not doing it any favours?
Kayden Bell
Everyone with a brain saw this coming. As I said in a previous thread, Capcom cannot develop games by themselves anymore. They needed Sony's help to make SF5, and they need Disney's help to make MVC:I. Unlike Sony, Disney won't just sit back and let Capcom do what they want, they are going to force them to aggressively dumb the game down so that it appeals to the widest audience possible, basically just being another piece of licensed shovelware.
Jackson Allen
Not really. All their "competitors" if you can call them that are smart enough not to follow their trends, even if they aren't as popular.
If SF and Marvel die, it just means fighting games don't become e-sports. Which is actually a good thing desu, but that can also be achieved by Capcom not being retarded, as unlikely as that is.
Isaac Miller
>Capcom says ASURA'S WRATH PC PORT - WHEN?!
Austin Anderson
>they are going to force them to aggressively dumb the game down so that it appeals to the widest audience possible, basically just being another piece of licensed shovelware. Took long enough for this to happen to fighters. I mean it happened to most other genres in gen 7 or even the end of gen 6 to some extent.
Jason Wood
That only applies to their fighters. Marvel/Disney wants GOOD games this time around so watching Capcom is actually good thing so we don't get rushed shit like SF5. The fact that it's being made in house shows how much they want it to be good
Lincoln Bailey
They had to fight tooth and nail to get Shuma in MvC3, Marvel only agreed to it if Shuma was made into DLC.
So what I'm saying is that don't expect Shma in Mahvel because Shuma is not in the movies and Marvel is not exactly pushing Shuma in the comics either. >They needed Sony's help to make SF5, and they need Disney's help to make MVC:I. Only for the money, and chances are that Marvel did not want to renew the licences unless they had a larger hand in the production. >Disney won't just sit back and let Capcom do what they want Disney or Marvel? Because allegedly Disney has no control what Marvel does with the Marvel licences, but they aren't pleased by the result
Alexander Green
Yes, that is all nice and dandy, but can we get actual news now? You know, character announcements, stage announcements, mechanics, contents, a showcase of more polished models compared to the first trailer, i would be happy even with a fucking sneak peek at the soundtrack. It's been pretty much 3 months and we know barely anything about this thing; sure, E3 will probably guarantee more news, but everyone's begging to see something before it.
Andrew Rodriguez
not him but i dont think casual players care about doing complex stuff in marvel at all most just want to do something flashy and it's already pretty easy to do something like that without much effort in marvel 3
Anthony Morales
>"In A Good Place Now" YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING
Logan Bailey
It might be easy to do something flashy, but it's not easy to get good at it. It's not easy to execute well and it only gets harder depending on your team
Jordan Gonzalez
>There are people that actually thought MvCI was going to be good.
William Cox
MAKE BLACKHEART GREAT AGAIN
Brandon Sullivan
SFV had no news after Bison until E3. Enjoy the wait
John Walker
>Casuals only want to button mash and beat story. That's how Mortal Kombat and Injustice sell millions.
Capcom wants to sell well at expense of discarting anyone who wants something more.
Jose Ramirez
i dont think most casuals care about getting good unless they already had a interest in the inner workings of fighting games anyway
Luis Morris
Weve only seen alpha gameplay and nothing beyond that. Chill
Jace Moore
sfv is NOT in a good place.
what the fuck is going on at capcom hq?
Christian Hall
Yes but the complexity of the game will be the big deciding point for something like that. The harder the game is the less likely people are to truly get invested, just as watch as UMVC3 gets really low EVO numbers this year despite the re-release.
Jayden Brown
can't make your money maker look bad no matter what the cost
mvc3 gets low numbers because the game hasn't had anything new added to it in years
Caleb Parker
MvC was always simplistic compared to SF, what drugs are you on?
Michael Lewis
>THEY'RE DOING THE SIMPLISTIC FIGHTING GAME MEME AGAIN
HAHAHAHAHAHA
Sebastian Brooks
Are there any low tier only Mahvel 2 tournaments? I wanna watch that
Isaiah Gray
Not even out and it's already fucking dead Capcom needs to fucking burn
Easton Barnes
Hey guys SFV is in a good place!
Nathan Wood
All Marvel characters are ultimately Marvel's decision, Capcom can appoint their preferences but Marvel has the final word, for example Capcom wanted Human Torch in MvC3 but they were having technical difficulties with properly implementing his flames without pushing consoles too much and Marvel had a rule for the Fantastic Four to always have all if its members playable when just one is considered to be on the roster, only non playable appearances to contain just one member of the team, with that Capcom just gave up on Human Torch, bringing Super Skrull to have more or less the entire FF together.
Jayden Gomez
I don't know about tournaments but a lot of people play low tier for fun in casuals
Brody Wood
What do they mean by simple? Not having to hit the assist buttons when you're mashing the same button combo over and over again?
Samuel Murphy
cauals dont know who the hell shuma gorath is. hell i didnt until mvc3. if they want the game to be simplistic and accessible then they will probably go for more recognizable characters that have 2 arms and 2 legs or just 4 legs
Dominic Flores
I'd be happier if the patch came at the end of March instead of April and it came with netcode adjustments.
The shoddy netcode is my biggest reason for disliking SFV.
Jackson Lee
>mvc3 gets low numbers because the game hasn't had anything new added to it in years That's not stopping Melee now is it?
Levi Ortiz
Melee and Marvel are different games, stop comparing them as if they are fighting games
Josiah Rivera
>expecting modern disney marvel making hard game that they cant market to casuals >expecting nothing more than movie tied characters >expecting good netcode from capcom side wew lads you all faggots
Gavin Gomez
It had a scene added in the last couple of years.
Samuel Hill
Smash/Nintendo people only play smash. ONLY SMASH. FGC has options so they gravitate to games with support
Alexander James
Marvel always wants relevant characters in the MvC games.
Shuma hasn't been relevant sense MvC3 Cheeky
Christopher Carter
Good they confirmed it's gonna be shit. I get to save my money now.
Christopher Green
>you all faggots says the guy taking pictures of man ass.
Jack Hernandez
Considering that Strange movie Shuma getting in has a higher chance that usual
Leo Nguyen
I don't really care how simplistic it is, if I can hit a guy in the air 200 times before he can land then it's good enough for me.
Lucas Evans
>Hardcore want to grind and learn a deep / rewarding game.
Then go ruin some other game with your autism.
And Jesus H. Fucking Christ, take a shower and learn how to interact socially.
Colton Cook
Good. Great! I never really liked MAHVEL and any game where you can get locked into a 200 hit combo without being able to do anything is fucked up on a conceptual level (sorry Skullgirls).
Capcom worked a fucking miracle in making SF V the 2D equivalent of Soul Calibur (the good ones); here's hoping they can work a miracle on this game as well.
Btw doomsaying retards say SF V is dead but the numbers speak for themselves ;)
Blake Johnson
kek you say that like 3 wasn't simplistic
Carter Nelson
Underated post It never occure to me that Redditors make it a point to come here for (You)s
Jose Lee
Goddamn that place is cancer holy shit it's just e-celeb drama and porn posting. So it's basically Sup Forums the subreddit
Lincoln Hernandez
Strange movie did not have Shuma in it
Lucas Jenkins
That's why it's pretty tolerable when it comes to sub reddits
Chase Wilson
wouldn't it be interesting if we removed aiming from shooting games and just have them running around and use skills so everyone can win?
Julian Thomas
I want the ability to actually win against some players when I play online this time instead of just fighting against normal difficulty computers. When I played online, I kept getting bodied no matter what I did or how much I trained. Obviously, losing isn't fun, but when other "beginner" leveled people are comboing and stun locking me to death, I can't do anything.
Every single time I played online umvc3, my opponents got perfect victories. I'm not joking.
Not being able to play as 3 characters and having less characters overall is the killing factor for me for mvc:i
Jeremiah Allen
that movie had Dormammu in it, and he was just a cloud I think, just like Galactus
