>Builds a PC with old used parts
>WAHHHH IT DOESN'T WORK
If your console dies after the 1 year warranty is up your fucked and have to buy another one or pay Sony/MS to fix it. By fix it I mean they send you a refurbished console.

At least if something breaks on my PC I can easily fix it myself. If your using an older console and they die your pretty much fucked and have to find another.

Under that logic why wouldn't you just fix whatever's broken on the console?

Only in amerifat land mate. Other 1st world countries have bigger requirements to electronic companies than that.

Why do you keep making the same thread over and over.

>Zootopia poster
>Dragon Age Inquisition poster
>Running Linux for gaming

From what I can see he doesn't have the system panel connectors hooked up, so that explains his lack of booting, but he is clearly a moron and it's likely not one problem.

>buy a prebuilt Dell from 5 years ago on ebay for pennies
>plug in a new GPU

I hope that video is satire. If not kek.

I know this thread is satire but damn, it really isn't that difficult
like, if you passed high school, you are probably intelligent enough to build a PC

I passed HS and still had to take a computer class to learn how to do this. I'm convinced you PC guys are so used to smelling your own superior farts that reality no longer applies to you.

>At least if something breaks on my PC I can easily fix it myself

You have 10 seconds to explain how that logic doesn't apply to consoles. There are detailed tear downs of every console that makes it easy for retards

>ive had pcs blow up many times bu just plugging them in
its a bait

>had to take a class to learn how to plug parts together

what can you even change? just the HDD? usually processors and videocard are fused together in console designs

what are you talking about, it really is not that hard
I'm almost sure it takes more research to write an AP US history report than it does to put together a computer
you don't even have to think about part compatibility when websites like pcpartpicker exist and tell you exactly what you need

I literally just had a youtube video playing which I followed step by step like a retarded sheep.

Anyone can do it.

Holy shit. How is someone who studied to take the comptia THAT retarted. I mean it's an entry level cert but fuck.

Isn't that an old server motherboard? lol he's got two fucking hyper 212 style heatsinks on it.

I used pcpartpicker four years ago to make sure my parts worked together and when I got them I just started slapping them together. I'm using that computer to post right now

>b-but PC gaming is expensive!

Only if you look at the up-front costs without taking things into perspective. For one thing comparing a PC to a console in a vacuum is a bad comparison. A PC does a shitload of other things, with video games being one aspect.

Barring some very strange circumstances, you're going to want/need a computer regardless of whether you choose to play games on a console or PC, because of all the additional functionality you'll most likely need anyway. So it's not really a choice between PC and console. It's a choice between needing a low-end PC and a console vs just consolidating and getting a higher-end PC capable of fulfilling both functions.

And then there's other minor things like the fact that you don't need to upgrade your computer every 1-2 years like the memers claim. I'm still running a mid-range rig I put together in 2011 and it's still running modern games just fine, for example. And when you upgrade, costs will be less, because chances are there are plenty of parts you can reuse from your previous build. Certainly don't need to buy a new chassis, harddrive, and peripherals, at the very least.

I dropped out of school and have built several computers. Damn you dumb, son.

gotta be a troll. has to be. no inexperienced pc user is going to be fucking with linux, especially not for games.

a good portion of this guy's videos are satire

>Like Legos
UHHHHHHHHHHHH
>“The word LEGO is a brand name, and is very special to all of us in the LEGO Group Companies. We would sincerely like your help in keeping it special. Please always refer to our products as “LEGO bricks or toys” and not “LEGOS.” By doing so, you will be helping to protect and preserve a brand of which we are very proud, and that stands for quality the world over. Thank you!”

It's pronounced Lay-go.

Same here, though I had a small hiccup with it not posting because the memory wasn't inserted quite right somehow. All it took to fix that was a quick look at the board manual to see what the red light meant. Popped them out, put them back in, gold.

It's not like the old days where you had to enter every fucking parameter of everything into the bios manually or shit was gonna get fucked.

what did he mean by this?

I wouldn't even fucking list comptia on my resume it's that fucking easy, I passed when I was 15 with no special training.

It's fucking easy as fuck to build pc. This video is a bait!

>open console
>warranty invalidated
>all proprietary bullshit
>fuck yourself even harder
gee, why don't you just fix the console yourself?

When you guys say "master race" is this thread what you mean?

>$5 fan dies in PC
>barely any impact, can be replaced for $5
>$5 fan dies in console
>console dies, needs to be warrantied or sent back, out of working order for weeks, trying to fix it yourself voids warranty and even then cannot be replaced without a good amount of DIY

Nah. This is the feel-good thread where we laugh at master race aspirants who're even dumber than we are.

calm you fucking autism. Nobody is going to say "Lego(tm) brand building blocks" or whatever the fuck. They're fucking legos. One lego, two legos.

see
Its like when I was kekking at my publishing school, they set up an "Apple Studio" full of iMacs, and they had to send back like 4 of them in 6 months due to shit like whirring and dying fans and issues of that level.
$1600 machines

So why is windows 10 getting shit on?

This youtube channel is a troll account.

Don't get a pc.

I don't want you in our community.

>calm you fucking autism. Nobody is going to say "Lego(tm) brand building blocks" or whatever the fuck. They're fucking legos. One lego, two legos.

LEGO is the singular, LEGO bricks is the plural.

i love legos

delete this

Reverse engineering and google/youtube, user. Try those. Seriously, it ain't that hard.
You can't replace and/or fix every part on a console though. Like the APUs, you just can't find those on the market. Some parts would require a little bit of handywork since the console usually custom fitted their parts in order to manage space.

same

It's bait.

A room full of tech shit and a Sup Forums tier keyboard.

LEGOS ARE AWESOME

legos. nobody gives a fuck what the company stresses as the official proper nomenclature.

>i still had to take a computer class
it takes like ten minutes on google to figure out what parts you need and the motherboard literally comes with a diagram showing what goes where
if you need a computer class to figure this out, the problem isn't everyone else, the problem is you being retarded. this is reinforced by the fact that you think graduating high school is a great achievement.

what the fuck is "chicken tendies"?

Oh yeah, because you can totally just up and replace a broken console part, right? Just order a new PS4 CPU off newegg, right? Buy a refurbished Switch motherboard, right?

You actually can, people have tutorials online and sell the parts for cheap

You took a computing class just to build a PC? Why?
You have manuals with your components as to how you should install them. Even if you were unsure about a specific instruction, you could just simply watch one of the thousands of tutorial videos online. They range from brief videos, to extremely detailed videos.

Even if you were still unsure or lack confidence, you could have just asked a friend to help you and teach you along the way.

Stupid meme unfunny people can regurgitate in substitution of original humor.

Meat is shit. Shit!

(You)

If you can't spell it right you don't really love them.

Yet another reason why console fags are literal cucks.

Nickel and dime you like bitches and you can't even open up the machine you bought.

Lol.

>At least if something breaks on my PC I can easily fix it myself.
Fucking kek, what am I reading? You're going to make your own components?

If a console breaks: You have to buy a new one
If a PC breaks: You have to buy at least one new part

(U)

Well that difference is pretty massive.

>macs

You asked to get fucked in the ass.

Not when you realize the parts that are most likely to break cost a minimum of $100 each.

PCBro here - you can repair consoles, it's just as easy for some things but shitloads harder for others.

Having a reflow oven sure makes bucks though.

Yeah, you only have to replace the specific failed part, rather than an entirely new everything.

>Why people still buy consoles

Well, I mean, he's not wrong.

is this supposed to be a pro-console argument? replacing the whole console is somehow better than having to replace a single part? lol

If you can't build a PC, you are legitimately retarded. There is no saving you. You literally buy the parts, put them in the case. The only thing that might be slightly difficult is cable management.

$250 to replace the console
vs
$300 to replace the mobo that also fried your CPU

It's not really though.

I know many people too stupid to build there own PC's, they just pay or con other people into doing it for them.
Many of them own consoles and PC.

You don't have to build it yourself to have a decent PC, you don't need to buy prebuilt either, most everyone have a group of friends where at least one person is knowledgeable (or knows someone who is)

As opposed to the entire $300+ thing dying?
Or that my parts have their own warranties, many of them which are 2+ years atleast?
Or how a broken part doesn't necessarily mean an unusable machine?
As I said above.
A dead fan, is less than a $5 component in a PC. A dead fan, is a $300+ dollar dead weight in a console, or atleast a week+ outage as it gets fixed.

it's a god-tier meme

Take 20$ from the money you'd waste on paid ads in XBL/PSN and get your shit assembled in a store.

>1066 mega transfers per thread

We DPR now.

>mobo + cpu costs more than a console
your machine is way higher specced than a console in that case
a pc that is specced similar to a current gen console, no way is the mobo + cpu going to cost anywhere near $300. maybe $150 tops.
moreover multiple parts failing is pretty rare unless your psu goes bad

link it

>fried your CPU
What year are you in?

My Duron 850 was the last CPU I've had die on me. (It lived upto its namesake, SPITFIRE)
It's pretty hard to kill a CPU...

Because 90% of the components are proprietary and you literately can not buy new ones, same with pre-built PCs. They use bits that only they has access to so you have to return it to manufacture for any repairs and if you attempt to do anything yourself you void the warranty.

That leaves me even more confused.

probably some animal porn
like cheeze pizza you know

If you're too stupid to DIY and don't know anyone willing to do it for free, it's not cheaper anymore.

>2 processors
>8 ram sticks
>xboxhueg case and motherboard
>for gaming

haha nice meta-troll

Frozen crumbed chicken breast fillets.
Theme meme exists becuase it's the supposed food of the basement dwelling, still living at home autist, it's what 'his' mummy cooks him every night.

It exploits the idea that overly processed foods go hand in hand with people who can't function as normal regular adults.

It's like $70 for MSY here to do your complete build for you, test everything and they provide their own 3 year warranty and support.

If you don't know someone (how?, are you an actual loner?) that's not a bad deal.

>your fucked
This is bait, right?

>3 year warranty and support
>have to give them your entire pc no matter the issue as they cover only the "build".

Nah.

>Console
>hot swappable parts

Alright then.

>tfw you're so dumb you're relentlessly considered bait

So basically this video is some guy crying because he failed?

I built a PC, it works, suck my dick.

The company dose it to prevent their name becoming generic therefore losing trademark status.

What were you trying to mean and failed to?
Did I mention consoles somehow without actually doing so?

No it's an actual troll looking for views.

Apart from the user history, look at the actual video, he has parts errywhere, he's just as much of a pcfag as most of the triggered in this thread - he's probably got the world biggest grin from trolling Sup Forums so hard.

I understand their insistence, sure. But I always find it hilarious when random keyboard warriors take it upon themselves to police everyone else and make sure we're using the proper Lego-brand-approved nomenclature. You see these guys every damn time legos are mentioned. They pour out of the fucking woodwork.

>still no reply

Kek so some guys on the internet replaced a blown capacitor inside his console, bravo!
You're obviously clueless.

I knew this channel sounded familiar. It's not serious. He makes very poorly done "this good game that everyone likes is shit" and clearly fails to get an audience. Surprised to see it still alive after so much time

>tfw your nation didn't make bullshit genrecised trademark laws.

We have all sorts of genrecised trademarks here, since such a thing doesn't lead to a loss of your trademark - so some companies actively persue it, so people always think of them thwn they're thinking about a certain product.

Gyprock (for Gypsum based plasterboard) for example.
Coke (for Cola) as another.

>he doesn't game with AT LEAST 3 CPUs
i'm lmao at you senpai

trouble shooting a pc is way fucking easier than a console though
for every hardware malfunction i had with my PC my mother board always provided some feedback
and a console doesn't do that
