typical XV fan
It's a Final Fantasy game. Why would you want to finish it? Shitty plot twist, some characters die with no development behind it and emotional music plays. There, you've played every FF game.
It's not hard, just boring.
Is the ending any good? I heard it was sad.
What part are you at?
Chapter 9. About to go to Hillary Clinton's house.
It's pretty easy and not long at all if you do the story.
The ending is also really nice.
But if you don't like it, just drop it.
took me months to finish this crap, and the ending was no worth it.
the only good thing is the pitios dungeon.
That dungeon can fo fuCK ITSELF IN THE ASS
BLACK HOOD?
THAT'S IT?
you wanted a NEW RECIPEH?
Actually I wouldn't have minded a new recipe if it has weird and fun effects other than attack/hp up again for the millionth time.
I barely even camp to be honest. Fuck Ignis and his skill, I gotta get dat 3.0 EXP multiplyer.
This game is probably my literally worst open world experience I've ever had.
I'm not even kidding, it has everything an open world game can do wrong, with the added on-rails car to make the open world even more stupid.
I gave up on doing sidequestsbecause they are literally the same. Someone did the laziest shittiest job possible in coding them.
The hole game can be told like this:
>talk to random object near "quest giver"
>watch your car drive for literally 5 real world minutes to the quest location
>walk/ride a chobobo for a few yards in a sterile empty world
>IMPERIALS ABOVE US for the 100th time, just ignore it again
>find a special mob around an item on the floor, this is the quest itself
>kill the mob
>spend the next minute jumping around while trying to grab the object with X
>walk/ride a chobobo back to the car
>IMPERIALS ABOVE US for the 101th time, just ignore it again again
>spend an other literal real world 5 minutes watching the car going back
>deliver the quest
>the quest giver gives you an exactly copy-pasted quest but in a different location
This is probably one of the worst games I've ever played. It truly is a massive waste of your time.
I dropped it when I realized I was spending more time now playing it than playing it.
Whoever thought that watching a car drive around was fun needs to be nuked again.
>Final Fantasy XV had a bad stor-
>spend the next minute jumping around while trying to grab the object with X
Fucking kek. I can't help but laugh at just how bad this design is and almost a metaphor on the quality of the game as a whole. This is design 101 shit. Not assigning an inspection button as an action as well but nope. They couldn't manage that.
They should have made it so you could hide in some trees or behind a rock so that the magitek troops would fuck off after being unable to detect you.
>mfw two random encounters triggered at the same time between wildlife and fucking Magitek soldiers
Adjusting the camera to see the scenery was nice but it did get old after a while.
Especially with those water graphics. Gross.
Who the fuck even cares about Noctis desu
>>spend the next minute jumping around while trying to grab the object with X
holy shit I've had some real bad times with that
Noctis dies at the end and the entire end game is meaningless because of it.
Game is worthless and I actually finished it and I dont' even beat games.
I knew that before I started it and still feel like it's a shitty version of X
>now
I meant 'not'.
It's amazing when you are still in the first area. Then it gets really, really old, and then you realize that's most of the game.
but muh ruby bracelets bro
It has the most emotionally impactful ending of any FF.
also I used to sleep play Justice Force 5 to get the items
>IMPERIALS ABOVE US for the 101th time, just ignore it again again
I kek'd.
That's fucking bullshit
>more impactful than 6 or 7
Yeah, no,
You have to actually get the players invested in good characters and an intriguing plot to be impactful.
>le trash story xD
typically mass effect drone triggered that XV shits on WRPGs.
Fuck off retard, it's better than any other open world game in recent years. The sidequests are the same exact thing as FF1-9 do. Not a single thing you mentioned is accurate you lying fuck.
>VII's ending
>Impactful
I don't know I actually think Mass Effect 3 might've been better than this.
XV is one of the worst games I've played from a series I really enjoy.
"We didn't want to create a comprehensive and perfectly balanced story in this game." - Tabata
Faggots like you need to be promptly shot in the head. XV is the only game that truly captures the roadtrip experience, to feel like your friend is driving you somewhere, the atmosphere and feel gone into it is unmatched. Nu/v/ underage fucks like you are too stupid to even wrap your head around a journey, you just want instant gratification.
The ending is by far the best part of FF15, dude.
>XV is the only game that truly captures the roadtrip experience
You spend most of the time in a glorified loading screen watching as they drive a car with almost zero interaction between the party members.
There is more meaningful interaction in the first disc of IX than the entirety of XV between party members.
This is the dumbest complaint I've ever read.
>bloo bloo the character dies in the story so it's meaningless wahh
Jesus fucking christ how many layers of autism do you have to actually believe that?
That's true cause then it's over and you don't have to care about the end game content
No it's the truth.
Yes it is since XV has better characters that feel like people for the player to get invested in. There's nothing emotional about 6 or 7s ending.
Well with an attitude like that, of course you're not going to enjoy the game.
You can go into any game hating the fanbase or deciding you won't like it and not have your mind changed.
A mind doesn't change unless it wants to be changed. You sound extremely juvenile. FF15 wasn't that good but you're allowed to admit it had it's moments without needing to subscribe to groupthink and extremes.
>truly captures the roadtrip experience
>atmosphere is unmatched
Have to disagree there. The game's poor world building and shallow characters didn't really give me the immersive effect I was expecting.
FFXV is essentially Stardust Crusaders, except mediocre. I know Jojo is an anime, but still.
The rest of your post is mad as fuck for some reason.
Mass effect drone immediately invalidated. XV is superior on every objective level to the shit you're peddling anti kun, you're so triggered by this fact you're literally shilling western shit.
>he doesn't know who XV-kun is
You're in for a treat this thread.
It is, what's the point of the end game? Oh magic reincarnation because you go back in time before you ever died...
>Such Brilliance
>Such Impactful Writing
>He gets to reunite with his wife!
>Oh but you spent more time with Gladios's sister than her
>Who cares that Noctis dies
>But who cares that any of the things happen in this game
>DLC though and patches right?
Better off waiting a year for the DLC to all be out and hopefully we will have it fully patched by then too.
Also
>Thank god Cor is coming back in that Gladios DLC right?
>Too bad they spoiled it with the trailer fuck this damn game can we just get 16 now?
Comprehensive is not the same word as comprehensible. The game is perfectly comprehensible, not comprehensive means it's purposely not showing things because Noctis is in the dark about things which is why the player is, every FF does this or literally anything with a twist does it, otherwise there would be no twist.
Goddamn this. I played this game with my girlfriend over Christmas break and we just had a fantastic time.
I hate Mass Effect 3 and think Andromeda will be DOA but the first two Mass Effect games are far better than Final Fantasy XV.
Hey
Listen up
I liked the gameplay, I just felt like the story was garbage and I spent like 40 hours just on the first map, it's not my fault the game rushes through everything else
The ending is the best part of the game but you still have to get through chapter 13, which is an absolute slog that even the dev's have admitted needs to be revised. At chapter 9 you have about 3 to 4 hours left if you charge through, so it's probably worth it just to put the crunch on it and move on. At least you'll be able to shitpost about it more effectively
6 & 7's characters > XV's characters
The only reason XV's characters feel human is because of the dialogue. I commend the writers for that.
Other than that they have no distinct motivations, unique traits, conflict/conflict resolution or lives outside of Noct that really makes them feel more than just cardboard cutouts.
Not showing what they had done with their lives during the time skip was a total missed opportunity too. I think 6 handled it's timeskip well in comparison just for doing that.
We're talking specifically about the ending, you can't just start arguing about other things expecting us to defend the rest.
>7's characters >
>When Cait Sith exists
Toppest of keks
No you spend your time with your bros on a roadtrip and then do things together as bros further solidifying the brotherhood vibe, there is more party interaction, banter and more with the characters in XV than any other FF to date, you are a lying fuck if you think otherwise. The animations in combat alone have more interactions with the party than any other FF does.
reminder that Iris and Noctis are the otp and it should have happened once Luna died
I have to wonder if you were dropped on your head. I didn't argue about anything, I said I liked the gameplay. I don't think it was completely a waste of my life... but there's nothing good about that ending.
nothing made me appreciate it through the course of the game and nothing is going to. I actually was super excited about the time skip and everything man. :\ I always love the idea of Time Travel.
>Bad feels on not collecting all of the colored Cactaur toys
I think you're confusing the anime with the game.
The animations are great, I'll give you that, but they mean nothing when the characters are lacking in literally everything else.
But is has better world building and more in depth characters than other FF parties, Noctis has more development than any other FF protag. Prompto alone has more development than any other FF character.
Do you fucking idiots even know anything?
So you are utterly retarded and don't know a single thing about stories where characters die.
Except for the whole they all hate each other after the time skip... Yep
No they aren't mass effect drone, they are all pieces of shit and XV takes a big dump on all of them.
>you are a lying fuck if you think otherwise.
X had more to be quite honest, it also had a much more diverse cast.
>Summoning from Dream Zanarkand
>Al-Bhed female
>Female summoner
>Native Besaid residents Wakka and Lulu
>A Ronso
>A legendary guardian to Jecht
Did you even play the game? Are you high?
it had no story, just loose events with voices spewing random garbage for no reason.
not a single cutscene hit me in the feels.
the trailers were far more emotional.
You've never played the original Mass Effect trilogy though.
>Prompto has more development than any other FF Character?
>Chapter 13 HEY GUYS I AM HALF DEMON LET ME OPEN THIS DOOR FOR YOU
Jesus fuck off you have to be retarded to claim that's "Character Development"
We actually got more out of Ignis going blind than that deus ex machina bullshit
>It has better worldbuilding
Is that why they're tacking on last-minute lore to the $30 DLC?
Seriously though, it doesn't. Like, at all. Even FFX has better worldbuilding.
>Noctis
He's about the same as all the others to be honest.
>Prompto
Extremely disappointing. The writers had something going with the rooftop scene but completely forgot to expand upon it.
A shame. He had the best backstory in Brotherhood and would have been great, had he been done correctly.
>Brotherhood
Here's another problem, to fully appreciate XV you have to consume nearly three hours of secondary media that isn't provided with the game.
6 and 7s charactes are flat and barely interact. XV has more interaction between the party than any of them and they feel like actually people. 6 and 7 characters are just a design with a single sentence that makes up their entirety.
They all have motivation, unique traits, conflict and resolution, and as part of the story being about the brotherhood of the four it's essential that it's stemming from Noctis's role as prince that they became his friends aside from that. Having random nobodies with no connection to the MC join has always felt forced, in XV everyone has a purpose, and Prompto is even a deconstruction of that because he feels he had no purpose which is literally part of his character development.
6 and 7 are the epitome of cardboard cutout, XV are the most human and properly realised FF characters yet.
I think he means before.
Either way, everything pertaining to the train was a fucking mess and Gladio did nothing wrong.
Oh look they don't hang out together too much anymore.
They were only together because of Noctis
Yeah the reveal that Prompto was an MT definitely didn't feel forced at all...oh wait.
Dude, just play a different FF game. IV, IX and X are the best from the main series. Crisis Core and Tactics are the best side games. Save yourselves from this garbage.
I really ment just after the Timeskip, since the developers wanted to infer the story instead of just giving it to us straight forward and to the point, I always see them as just being there because they have to.
You will have an epic boss battle
>IV, IX and X are the best from the main series.
I unironically agree, X and IX are two of the best games ever made.
No I think you are ignoring that the game, anime, movie and DLC are all canon to the XV universe which is all part of one story.
The characters feel like actual people in anything you do, banter in dungeons or just running around, camp events, the photos, story dialog, battle banter and interactio, on tour quests etc. All of it is interconnected and establishes them better than any other FF does.
The only retards that deny this are people who didn't play the game or rushed through it and skipped everything having decided they hated it before they even started playing, aka nostalgia drones who are in denial.
But they don't hate each other after the time skip.
Fuck off with that SJW diversity bullshit.
While I love FFXV the story did piss me off at some points. Especially the train ride. Defiantly on my top 5 FF list. Also fuck that last Timed Quest
Seeing as the DLC isn't out yet. I feel like your argument needs reworked. After watching the trailer for the first DLC, I really feel like it's just content they didn't have time to put in the game.
Why are we condoning this?
>Fuck off with that SJW diversity bullshit.
How is Final Fantasy X a SJW game?
>Defiantly on my top 5 FF list.
Off yourself senpai and learn to spell.
>No I think you are ignoring that the game, anime, movie and DLC are all canon to the XV universe which is all part of one story
A game should be a contained story. No one should be forced to watch a movie and an anime just to understand the plot of the game. By itself, the XV story is garbage.
>Fuck off with that SJW diversity bullshit
Oh no, how dare they include women in the game as playable characters. It's not like women exist in reality.
You spent money on it
Brotherhood was good though. It provided a little insight to the characters without going overboard, and successfully fulfilled its purpose to be complementary to the game.
That is, if the game had actually expanded upon what was established in Brotherhood. It didn't so now the anime is essential rather than optional and ironically more enjoyable than the game itself.
If you're still going on about animations, it's understandable considering the graphic limitations back then.
>They all have motivation etc.
Nope, aside from restoring Noctis to the throne, but it doesn't get much deeper than that and it becomes more difficult to differentiate between the characters as a result.
>random nobodies
Maybe it was for the better that they were random nobodies who you slowly get to know throughout the story. While the idea of pre-established friendships was attractive, the writers kind of fucked it up and forgot to give each character unique. There was an user a while back who even posted about how Noctis should have first met up with his bros after fleeing from the invasion.
>Prompto is a deconstruction
>deconstruction
Are you memeing now?
The side characters were ten times worse though.
I just overdosed on sleeping pills so don't worry.
Any game with a person that isn't a white blonde male is sjw apparently.
>b-but this thing he did
Good job ignoring his entire character arc retard, good job ignoring him being fat as a child and literally feeling worthless, him changing himself so he can be friends with Noctis, him trying his best to cheer up the gang and lift spirits because he knows he's not skilled or smart like Ignis or strong like Gladio, him knowing he is from Niflheim, the son of the enemy no less, and how he broke down mental and physical barriers to become friends with people from lucis, to better himself and prove he isn't useless or empty (MT) like he was originally intended to be.
But keep crying because you're an utter retard who knows fuck all about anything.
>Why are we condoning this?
People have been waiting a long time for this game.
If it was literally any other series, the DLC would get ripped to fucking shreds.
So they were busy with personal shit, that means they hate eachother?
Go fuck yourself.
It's easily the most uninteresting FF to date
I have to agree with they explain alot of his character during the movie and during the game at the motel. Plus I don't think he's half demon he's just special.
>successfully fulfilled its purpose to be complementary to the game.
Should've been integrated into the game though.
FF2 takes that spot. No one cares about Firion
But that stuff is all expansion content, and the lore is already part of the game, DLC stuff is going to stay contained to that. Just admit you were too stupid to notice anything because it went over your simple head.
Noctis isn't anything like any FF protag and for one he's actually someone who looks like a man at the end too. And Prompto had a whole lot to him and that rooftop scene was followed up upon by the time skip and things he went through leading up to it.
>personal shit
They literally did nothing during the time skip apparently. No new friends, no qt gfs, no wageslave jobs, no new fucking wardrobe, nothing. They don't even give that much of a fuck when Noctis reappears from fucking nowhere after a decade after everything goes to shit.
Speaking of which, why didn't everyone and their mom just start shitting all over Noctis after he disappeared and let the entire world go to waste? That would have been an interesting plot point, then have him be redeemed by finishing Ardyn.
>xv-kun going insane
This.
Anyone who doesn't II is the worst is underage.
>No new friends, no qt gfs, no wageslave jobs, no new fucking wardrobe, nothing.
Did you fucking miss the part where the entire world is overrun with demons and even Gladio had to accept his sister becoming a fighter to keep everyone safe and locked up in lestallum?
Did literally everything in the game just fly over your head?
You can't get a "wageslave job" in a post-apocalyptic world where taking one step out of a town is instant death.
>Faggots like you need to be promptly shot in the head.
>promptly
See The DLC is extra content they only started planning a the month XV went gold. 2 years ago they said Gilgamesh was not in the game and wasn't planned to be either, but only in the month XV went gold did they plan it to be about Gilgamesh vs Gladio.
You are literally using a SJW argument.
The most interesting lore was contained in randomly placed books and posters that pretty much nobody cared to read because none of it really connected and made sense.
And even then a lot of the lore is just about the Astrals and shit. Nothing else. Would have been interesting to have more depth to the political climate and culture of the different cities/nations. Then again you're traversing the goddamn rain forest most of the time and can only visit only two towns.
THANKS!
Almost none of is in the game.
It is what it is, the story is still there for you to consume, ignoring it is a fault against you at this point.
Fuck off back to neogaf with your SJW autism, XV is about brotherhood of the main four who have been friends for years, even despite that they are all completely different and unique characters and there is females who join the party.
