Who is she, Sup Forums?
>Your most favorite developer/publisher during your childhood is now your most hated
Who is she, Sup Forums?
Blizzard.
Sega, and it's fairly accurate. Sega post-Dreamcast is pretty trash.
Valve.
I don't know, I didn't have a childhood.
Capcom. It hurts so much.
EA.
...
I don't HATE blizzard, per se....
I just wish they would stop their jew tactics and make RTS games again. I still like thier games, and play overwatch + hearthstone occasionally, but they need to fuck off with lootcrate shit and make real games
Same.
It's so hard to see them go from SC1 and D1 and 2 as well as vanilla WoW to.. Everything else.
Luckily, they seem to be turning around with Legion and Overwatch.
Seems like the industry at large is turning around somewhat.
I wouldn't say most hated, but my love for Bungie has certainly gone cold over the years.
Naughty Dog and Sega
The former doesn't make anything put pretentious shit
The latter threw their other IPs in the trash for Sonic.
Squaresoft... enix... whatever.
Nigger, you got star craft and 3 fucking expansions for it.
>Your most favorite developer/publisher during your childhood
LucasArts, Sierra-Online
>is now your most hated
Doesn't exist anymore.
You will get old, too.
Bioware.
Remember Knights of the Old Republic, Balder's Gate, Jade Empire, and the others? I do.
Came here to post this, damn.
My favorite studio as a kid was clover and my favorite studio as a 24 year old is platinum games.
Livin the good life and loving video games here amigo
EA used to mean good games.
Nexon but I'm a retard?
OP here. I loved Clover as well, and I believe I was eleven when they released Viewtiful Joe. Once they shutdown, my love for Capcom waned.
I still don't understand why they at least haven't done an HD release of Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2.
i wanna say square enix, but honestly i don't even care enough about them anymore to get mad/disappointed i just automatically expect things to be "average" from them. i only need them for ps1/ps2 remasters anyway.
i guess capcom? still can't believe what they did to SFV after the SF X Tekken fiasco
Square Enix
Nope, Insomniac has consistently made good games. Capcom's only positive in the last few for me is Dragon's Dogma.
Bioware.
I remember when I didn't disregard any mention of EA and their games. Seems so long ago.
Nintendo
What about Overstrike?
>following developers
>not directors/auteurs
>frogposting
You don't belong here
LucasArts
Square Enix, after 2001 that've not made that many good ones. Only ones I thought were good from them that amazed me were Kingdom Hearts, FFXI, The World Ends with You, FFXII and XIV.
Couldn't even be hyped for FFXV.
Rareware
>directors/auteurs
>in video games
I bet you think metal gear solid is a good game
Probably Squaresoft/Enix for me. I remember being hyped for things like FF7, Xenogears, and Parasite Eve. Now I only really expect disappointment from them.
They're a far cry of what they used to be but I think they're still pretty okay in the grand scheme of things. Especially this year.
...
Squeenix
make a chrono trigger remake already you fucks
Electronic Arts
Konami. They used to fucking be the kings of licensed games and now... well, fuck, what are they now?
Came here to post this, thinking about what happened to Rareware hurts so much I don't think I'll ever move on.
>hating/loving developers
why would you do this?
Nintedo. I was a Nintendo kid. I loved them, I adored them. But my last Nintendo console was the gamecube, before it started to go so horribly wrong.
run by the yakuza.
they would rather prostitute young girls and sell drugs than make games anymore I guess.
What type of stupid fucking question is this? The last half of your question is completely irrelevant. You may as well have just asked "What was your favorite developer/publisher during your childhood?"
Bioware and Rareware.
EA/Capcom. EA takes the edge because Capcom has some slight hope of redeeming themselves
Funny. I pulled 2 180s on my opinion on Sega. I liked them as a kid, then when I finished Yakuza 2 and it seemed like they were doing nothing but releasing middling Sonic games I hated them, and a few years later I find them good again.
the pipes the pipes are calling
>Rare
Nintendo
I still love most of their games, but their underpowered consoles with gimmicks that no one gives a shit about can fuck off
truth?
Maybe after the three games of the FFVII remake
Blizzard.
Same.
But still i dont fully hate capcom but it have broken my heart several times now.
...
Naughty Dog
Westwood did nothing wrong.
>MvCI
>REmake 2
>Localized DDO
>DD2 or DMC5
>A final definitive version of SFV
Please Capcom, don't fuck this up
Skimming through this thread is physically painful
Why did it have to be like this?
I find that blaming the Jews has provided me an answer for everything getting shittier and an outlet for my hate.
Faggot. It's like you've never seen a painful nostalgia thread.
>everything you loved as a child either dies or turns to shit
I hate this. Why did it have to be like this?
All of them. While I do think Blizzard tops my list, I actually can't name a single dev/publisher that hasn't wronged me in some fashion in the last few years.
Fucking Activisi—oh wait, I never gave a shit about them.
Nintendo.
Konami
>muh silent hill
>muh metal gear
>muh castlevania
>muh contra
Naughty Dog
>muh Jak
>muh fun games
Insomniac
>muh funny cutscenes
>muh games not made for 4 year olds
Sucker Punch
>muh deep stories
>muh good platforming
Jagex. They ruined Runescape, I´m mega old ultrafag and after they abandoned classic everything went to shit.
Konami
Loved Suikoden I & II, never enjoyed anything after that.
Squaresoft
After IX could not enjoy the series
They still got Yakuza tho
Atlus USA. Not because they've actually changed much in quality, but because I used to have much lower standards.
bioware
Blizzard, Square
B-but i can't hate Nintendo
needles to say they make shitty decisions though.
This is tough.
Blizzard has fallen so far. But so has BioWare.
And now Obsidian is obsessed with cranking out shitty Infinity Engine styled games instead of experimenting with exciting shit like Alpha Protocol.
>Pre 2011 Microsoft
I fucking loved the Original Xbox and the early years of the 360. Everything went to shit when Bungie left.
Blizzard, Bethesda
anyone remember Bungie?
