Why aren't you making games at your favorite video game studio yet Sup Forums?

Why aren't you making games at your favorite video game studio yet Sup Forums?

Well, that actually cheered me up, good for him

Hmm?

Muh nigga

he must be pretty good at what he does for them to keep that white piggu around

>drop out of college due to starcraft
>just recently got my name on the credits for a starcraft game

get on my actual level, scrub

Huh. Good for him.

As for the OPs comment. I do not want to do game programming at all. I really don't enjoy it.

Damn, that's one he'll of a motivator if true. Good on him.

w-what is her name
for "research purposes"

muh other nigga. I fucked off out of uni after a month and now work in games, nobody thought I could do it. Kek. I know a few other people who have done it too. Feels good.

Fuck this faggot for making horses from the same herd magically run to each other no matter how far away you separated them, I try to separate one wild horse from the rest so it's easier to catch but no, it just runs 5 miles to its friends because Corey Fagman is a lazy hack programmer

Tech is a good industry for it, they are on average less fixated on credentialism. Showing your effort in other ways is very possible.

kek

That's a really nice story, and I'm happy for the guy.

But he had a 5 month exchange program to Japan in high school. That means he either went to a very wealthy school, or had wealthy parents who helped him pay for it. He also lucked out with the fact that his school had such a program in the first place. He definitely made the best of what was available to him, but it's hardly something that's available to everyone so easily.

Same. I hope this fat gaijin retard dies and never gets to ruin any part of future zelda games.

Yura Phaghet

That guy is a hero to us all.

If he was wealthy, I doubt he would be worried about getting loans or money getting back to Japan

sasuga corey-kun!

How? Do you work as a designer or QA?

Artist. They mostly care about folio before any degree. Some places you need a degree, some don't give a shit. The indie scene, nobody gives a shit about anything like that. finding a great connection helps too.

I'm 26 years old and still 3 years away from a Computer Science degree. I gave up all hope already

That's the spirit.

I kinda envy people who can just got to japan to teach english.

I wish they were looking for english techers in Iceland.

>These are the people who complain about appropriating cultures

Just keep at it. I dropped out (Flunked out) of school when I was 18. I went and worked for 6 years, and went back to school when I was 24. I'm finishing up my Master's now, about to turn 28 and I was able to get offers from Google and Facebook, even though I ended up not taking them.

Tech doesn't care too much, keep working at it.

So long as you have a bachelors degree and you don't seem like a ken-sama japanophile freak, they'll hire you to teach english in rural japan.

They'll take anyone because it's very high turnover and the burnout rate is even higher, you're out in the middle of nowhere teaching english and don't get to go anywhere near your anime mecca for years at a time.

But, again, I don't wanna go to japan. Or anywhere else where people can tell at first glance that I'm a foreigner.

I want to go to Iceland. So, basically, another irrelevant little island where nothing interesting ever happens, but with people who don't look at me like I'm a nigger.

Because I'm not a woman so I have to work twice as hard so my portfolio can compete against the quota bias.

Iceland is hard. I believe it is considered one of the most difficult nations in the world to immigrate to.

My recommendation, is go for vacation.

Why Iceland if there's nothing interesting then?

It's part of the Schengen zone and I'm european so it should be doable, but I want to be sure to have a job there and not just be the mind of immigrant who lives off of the goodwill of the population.

It's peaceful. No crime, no terrorism, no political turmoil, no poverty...

Ah, I didn't realize. I thought it was independent. What is there industry there?

Iceland isn't part of the Schengen Zone senpai. None of the islands are.

Well, it's an island, so... fishing, the rural parts are actually still very agricultural but it does have a fairly stable service industry in the capital area, actually even a bit of a growing high tech sector. You might have heard that the studio behind EVE online is icelandic

I think you're thinking of Greenland.

Has anyone here done the teaching english gig?

My school has a linguistics program to teach ESL and I'm thinking about doing that because I have no idea what else to do.

yeah it was greenland

no

I am, get owned idiot. Why aren't you?

How's b6 treating you

heh
