What the fuck was this guy's problem anyways?
Don't give me that "he's Demise's curse incarnate" or whatever. That fanfic shit didn't exist until 2011.

His entire motivation is explained in Wind Waker. He covets the wind.
He just wants prosperity because he grew up in a fucking hot desert. He explained his problem in Wind Waker.
Prior to that, he just wanted power.

Yes it existed, it just wasn't spelt out for you.
He literally says at the end of OoT that he is bound to the other Triforce wielders.
>What the fuck was this guy's problem anyways?
I'll give you a quick rundown:
>The king of Hyrule bows to Ganondorf
>In contact with Twili, Subrosians, Vaati and whatever Majora was
>Possesses psychic-like abilities
>Control Hyrule with an iron but fair fist
>Own castles & temples globally
>Direct descendant of the ancient Gerudo line
>Will bankroll the first cities in Holodrum and Labrynna (Ganontopia will be be the first city)
>Owns 1/3 of the Triforce
>First designer babies will in all likelihood be Ganondorf babies
>Is said to have 231+ IQ, such intelligence on Hyrule has only existed deep in Lorule & Subrosia
>Ancient Sheikah scriptures tell of two angels who will descend upon Hyrule and will bring an era of enlightenment and unprecedented technological progress with them... and Ganondorf will kill them, and claim it for his own ends.
>Ganondorf is in regular communication with the goddess Din and the Demon King Demise
>He learned fluent Ancient Hyrulian in under a week
>In reality, He is the reincarnation of Demise's wrath, born every 100 years to the mostly female race of Gerudo. We don’t know his ultimate plans yet. We hope he's a benevolent being.

"My country lay within a vast desert.
When the sun rose into the sky, a burning
wind punished my lands, searing the world.
And when the moon climbed into the dark
of night, a frigid gale pierced our homes.
No matter when it came, the wind carried
the same thing… Death.
But the winds that blew across the green
fields of Hyrule brought something other
than suffering and ruin.
I coveted that wind, I suppose."
He just wanted to be happy and prosper. I always felt bad for Wind Waker's Ganondorf.

Still doesn't change the fact that Ganondorf is and always will be evil. ALttP confirmed this by having the dark world transform him into his true form.
There is nothing to it. He's just evil. Skyward Sword just explained why.
