This is the final boss of a 5-game series.
A fucking dragon.
This is the final boss of a 5-game series.
A fucking dragon.
It's fitting.
The universe stated with a war against dragons.
The universe will end with a battle against the last dragon
You'll still be a huge homosexual and a waste of oxygen until the end of time.
What's wrong with that, exactly? What would you have rather it been?
You post this in every Ringed City thread, and now you decided to make a thread?
Probably he wanted another fight against Gwyn.
Muh muh Primordial Serpents
Seems like exactly what it should be.
Dragons are a huge part of this game.
>the last dragon
What about the one in Dragon Peaks that offers the covenant? Or Kalameet? Or the 3+ dragon bosses in DS2 as well as the entirety of the Dragon Aerie? Do those not count?
It's overdone.
All fake dragons or descendants of dragons.
you're right this is terrible!
the final boss of the series should be a random lanky guy with a tentacle arm and dumb looking flail attacks! Thats how you do a final boss!
Those are in older games? And many of them were killed. Do you have a hard time wrapping your head around the fact that after multiple games of killing dragons we'd eventually get to the last one?
Canonically, you kill all of those and the covenant one is already dead. Also Dark Souls 2 didn't happen.
This is the last last last dragon.
It should have been a humanoid knight!
And the funniest thing is, if the final boss were another giant dude in armor, OP's post would be
>This is the final boss of a 5-game series.
>A fucking big dude in armor
Why is the Souls fanbase so full of hopeless unappeasable cretins? It's reaching Zelda levels at this point.
stop baiting
it's probably some mini boss
Don't care about the boss fights very much, I just hope the DLC fixes the PVP.
So the final DLC is out now?
Who honestly cares about Souls games anymore? Maybe it's just me but after 4 games and all the DLC I just don't have any interest in one more, even if it is the last one.
You're so cool and uncaring user.
Not for another week.
Dark Souls 3: The Try Jumping DLC
How do you know ? Source ?
wow its actually beautiful
this is probably the dragon, done justice, for the first time ever in video games
>a souls game
>fixing the pvp
the best dark souls boss has already come so anything would be a let down 2bh
Dragons Dogma
Bloodborne's final boss was a screaming god fetus trying to hit you with its still attached placenta
So you know, a bit more original.
Western shit.
Kalameet and Sinh were cool. And Grigori from Dragon's Dogma is possibly the best realised dragon in a video game.
>Dragon Dogma
>Western
Originality is overrated. Execution is what matters.
What?
Bloodborne didn't have the constraints of a trilogy's "lore" surrounding it. If they put something like that in 3, people would still complain because it doesn't fit.
You need both. Dark Souls 3 is the most polished game in the series but it does very little that's actually NEW, so while it's an excellent game it doesn't feel as memorable or engaging as the others.
Retard.
>look it up
>DD wasn't developed in the West
Well what do you know, I learned something. Maybe I'll give DD a chance then.
So is the Abyss Dragon confirmed the final boss in TRC or is he just speculating/shitposting?
It's a hard 5 or 6/10 for the first few hours but once you get into it it improves drastically.
Why does it being Japanese or not matter? Why do you care? Holy shit fuck off
>I only play superior nippon video games
You don't deserve to play DD. You'd just use it as a waifu simulator anyway.
Make sure you get Dark Arisen, its the base game and expansion. Its one of those rough gems at times but it does so much right too.
It's pretty under-rated.
It takes a while to get used to the combat but it's a pretty great game overall. Get the original version if you can, otherwise you're gonna have to mod in the original themesong.
Japanese spins on high or dark fantasy are almost always more fun for a game setting than actual western interpretations. Really anything besides the west making a western-styled game is more interesting.
They went out of their way to make the art look western. How do you not know DD is Capcom is what I don't understand.
>ignorant weeb
kys please
He's right though. There are actually people who refuse to play anything not developed in nipland.
And? I'll judge it more on the boss fight itself.
>Bloodborne's final boss was a dude that swings it's arm at you
FTFY
Never mind. I thought you were replying to I'm tired.
I'm just happy desert sorceress set is back and that the female characters don't have man shoulders so I can enjoy it even more.
Pyros are gonna be the new meta though with ringed knight straight sword and if the new curved sword pyro catalyst is good.
Enough shitposting. What are your hopes for the DLC? What do you think happens with the Dark Soul?
>The universe will end with a battle against the last dragon
...the entire plot of Dark Souls 3 is about the return of the dragons. It's not the last by far.
It'll probably give us a choice to bring it to the painter loli and maybe one or two other options, similar to the first flame in the base game.
post evidence or fuck off
>beat final boss of the DLC
>acquire the Dark Soul
>it's a key item that does nothing
>you can't give it to the painter lady
>laughingmiyazaki.gif
It matters. The game being Japanese means it is a quality game and expect it to be great, unlike Western shit. It's already a universal fact
>post evidence or fuck off
Is the whole "DaSIII coming to Switch" thing true?
I have the game for PS4, but haven't bought the DLC yet.
I'd buy the game again if it meant being able to play it in handheld mode AND on my TV.
That's not the final boss
That area is on the way to TRC itself
Way better than Orphan of Kos
...
>This is the final boss of a 5-game series.
>A fucking dragon.
Sweet.
Who said this was the final boss?
that's not evidence for the return of dragons
those are pilgrim butterflies.
...
>Is the whole "DaSIII coming to Switch" thing true?
Bamco and FROM are already partnered with Nintendo, it would make sense.
...
Because you're going to learn it was the dragons trying to destroy the souls this whole time, they were using the serpents to convince people to burn their souls thinking it was saving them, but really it was destroying the souls so that dragons could rule again
And they do, but then the pygmy comes and you start back at DS1
A fucking literal who dragon.
It's just rumours for the moment, but a Namco leaker who has been right in the past said that From have it running on Switch but that they aren't committed to a port yet. Also Gamespot accidentally posted a video of the DLC with 'captured on Nintendo Switch!' down the bottom but their chief editor very quickly said it was just a mistake. Could be the truth or it was a premature announcement.
Shit souls 3 is a dumpster fire. Miyazaki is a hack and Japan Studio did all the heavy lifting.
ᴗ̈
>Shit souls 3 is a dumpster fire
>Miyazaki is a hack
While this is true, Japan Studio is just another name for SONY, it's a publisher, not an actual dev studio.
That actually would have been perfect.
>Large humanoid boss knight! :D
>obtain the Dark Soul
>the player chooses to absorb it to fulfill their role as Lord of Hollows and usher in the Age of Man
>the player can opt out of this and instead bring it to the Fire Keeper
>she uses it to fuel the first flame and keep it lit indefinitely
>the player can bring it to the painting loli
>she gives thanks and creates a new painted world free from corruption and rot
>the player can bring it to Yuria
>she splits it between herself and her remaining sisters to establish the Sable Church of Londor as the new Gods
>the player can give it to Ludeth, the last remaining Lord of Cinder
>he transposes it into the pendant from DS1
The pendant is in the Dreamchaser's ashes, user. That last one seems unlikely.
>fantasy game with swords and magic
>dragon boss
Sure. It works.
i'm aware
but at the same time it seems like one final joke from Miyazaki about it.
I was actually kind of torn about that though, because obviously when you have powerful souls, you give them to Ludeth to transpose them, but you can also "sell" them to the handmaiden for the souls on top of consuming them.
But what if you sold the dark soul to the Handmaiden and instead of souls, you received the pendant that you originally gave her with the Dreamchaser's Ashes. It obviously would serve no purpose, but Miyazaki loved to joke about how the pendant had some deeper mystery hidden away outside of the game.
The dragon looks more like a bonus boss than a final boss, like Kalameet
Actually Bloodborne's final boss can arguably be any of 5 different bosses, all of which are wildly different from one another.
You cannot fucking argue that DS3 boss fights come anywhere close to Bloodborne, and I don't even particularly like Bloodborne. I think it's mid-low tier in the Souls series.
>Actually Bloodborne's final boss can arguably be any of 5 different bosses
The credits roll after you beat Gehrman or the Moon Presence. That means there are two possible final bosses, where the hell did you get five from?
If you take Gehrman's offer then Mergo's Wet Nurse is the final boss.
If you don't it's Gehrman, plus umbilical cords makes it Moon Presence.
If you count the DLC/final boss released, it's Orphan of Kos.
And if you consider Chalice Dungeons to be the end game then Queen Yharnam is the final boss.
Oh the abyss dragon mentioned in item descriltuon from ashes of arindel?
Are we gunna see the old bud Aldia? What about the serpent ?
Smh darl souls 4 or 3rd dlc when
Wet Nurse too, if you accept Gehrman's offer. Dunno where he's getting the other two from though.
Don't know if you said it ironically, but that would be so awsome, I kinda want it to happen now :(
...
>If you take Gehrman's offer then Mergo's Wet Nurse is the final boss
I actually forgot about that.
>If you count the DLC/final boss released, it's Orphan of Kos
>And if you consider Chalice Dungeons to be the end game then Queen Yharnam is the final boss.
By that logic Manus or Kalameet could be considered the final boss of Dark Souls. It's completely ridiculous to count optional endgame content as a final boss.
>Manus not the final boss of Dark Souls
nigga wut
it seem to have 4 wings
hmmmm
Ancient dragons in the DaS1 intro all had 4 wings and tentacles for hind legs like Seath did. I hope this dragon has tentacle legs too but I doubt it.
Isn't this Kalameet? It sure looks like Kalameet with a Gough arrow through his chest.
Nah this dragon has four wings and a different shaped head to Kalameet. Kalameet's head was pretty much just curves and looked kind of feminine, this one seems a lot bulkier and the head looks stouter and the horns are like a third of the length.
>Ancient dragons in the DaS1 intro all had 4 wings and tentacles for hind legs like Seath did. I hope this dragon has tentacle legs too but I doubt it.
No they didn't. They had four wings, but normal legs and tail. Seath was an abomination, his head, body and even wings were much different.
Nigger learn what a wyvern is, drakes were in DS1 too.
The only fucky one in 2 is Sinh and you kill him + his soul was possibly just Yorgh's.
>Last boss isn't one of/all the jew serpents
What the FUCK, man.
Good, DS3 has no decent dragon boss, Oceiros is just Vordt 2.0 and pretty mediocre in general.
Fume's better.
Not very high hopes for the DLC, DS3 as a game in broken at the core design by being a masher.
>yfw he's in secret location which opens after NG+7
Seath was the butterfly dragon with fairy/butterfly wings
