I don't get it

I don't get it

It was intended to be a joke ending but they make a new series out of it, what's not to get

>Now we're in Japan
>Shit, what the fuck are missiles
>Now we're dead

Thank you for playing!

Do people still dont get that Ending E of Drakengard is what made the Nier timeline or do we gotta explain from the very start

>imagine being that guy who blind bought Nier and didn't know that it's connected to Drakengard so DoD1 Ending E hit him like a truck

I wish I was that guy

Caim exploded like a pinata, in a shower of blades.

DIE DIE DIE

Furiae. Furiae. Furiae. Furiae. Furiae. Fu. Ri. Ae. Fu. Ri. Ae. Fu. Ri. Ae.

...

oh shit do explain

You serious?

The appearance of Caim/Angelus and the Giant brought a few things to Tokyo. Namely, what the series calls "maso particles" which is just their science name for magic. Secondly, the Giant also introduced a disease which started doing two things: either turning people into salt, or turning them into berserkers who attacked people indiscriminately. While they managed to contain the outbreak at first, it started to spread all over the world, which lead to massive population decreases. This coincided with the appearance of what the game calls "The Red One", who had the ability to lead the infected but non-salted humans. After a couple wars, they supposedly killed him. But the disease remained.

Thus, the Gestalt Project was born in an attempt to wait out the lifespan of the disease and the Earth became habitable again. If you don't know what the Gestalt Project is, just go and play NieR because that's the fucking story.

thanks, very interesting

I read about this yesterday and I'm wondering where this information came from exactly.

Is it in Nier? I only ever got up Ending A

well, first you play drakengad then you play nier and you connect the two using simple logic

Most of the specifics aren't (except for the part about maso particles, which is in Automata).

Google "Grimoire NieR" if you want more info. It's essentially side-info that's been mostly translated into English (contains things like staff interviews, weapon stories which got cut, etc.).

Not him but basically
>big bad from Drakengard opens a portal to 2003 Tokyo
>our hero and his dragon enters the portal and fight the antagonist in a rhythm game
>antagonist dies
>hero and dragon got shot down by the JSDF
>antagonist's body dissolved into salt and began to infect humans with a disease that force them to form a pact and become their slaves, if they refuse they will dissolve into salt
>years went by, and people began to research the dragon's body, and magic is now possible
>people are getting turned into slaves (known as the legion) left and right and those who survive hasn't found any cure to the disease
>eventually magical tech gave birth to the Gestalt Project, basically separating the soul and body until they can find a cure for the disease

The rest are spoilers so if you're interested just play the game

Tell me. Did she deserve what happened to her or we just go full Taro and say "MUH INCEST IS DISGUSTING"

Yes.

Queen Beast 'warped' into our verse.
Caim and dragon killed her and then died like bitches because fuck yeah airforce!.
Our world died later because of the magic aids they brough.

I bought Nier about a month after I did ending e of Drakengard and didn't realize they were connected.

Yeah
She hated her duty and didn't give a fuck about anything except fucking her brother.

There's nothing to get except that Drakengard fucking hates you.

Worst game I've ever played. The only game I own that I actively despise and would not try to replace if I ever lost it.

Quick Sup Forums
> The Queen begins to sing
> Light and shadow
> Goodness and Evil
> Silence the Mother's song

It hates you because you're a fucking psychopath murderer who kills thousands of people just for entertainment

Wrong you meme-spouting faggot.

Caim just has a revenge complex against the empire because Legna devoured his parents right in front of his eyes when he was a kid. Notice how he doesn't go on a rampage on any of the union soldiers "just for entertainment". He actually cares about people like his sister and he considers Inuart an old friend, smiling in genuine content at Inuart's song in the first chapter.

He also resisted the urge to kill Manah even though she's the main reason her sister killed herself. He also spared that one civilian in that one chapter, he just kicked him in the face.
