Has anyone expressed interest in doing a port of NV into the Fallout 4 engine implementation? New Vegas writing with 4 gameplay would be an actually excellent videogame.

I don't think any modder would bother doing this after Bethesda gave them the finger with Fallout 4.

I made a pyromaniac once, it was pretty fun.

Most environmental assets could just be ported across and characters are pretty easy to recreate. The only new assets that I believe would be absolutely necessary would be weapon related. Modders made a Tale of Two Wastelands work, Tamriel Rebuilt is INSANE in scale and there's active projects to port every 3D Elder Scroll game into each of it's successors, why not New Vegas?

It's a pity if this is the case because it would be really nice to enjoy NV for BOTH story and gameplay rather than DESPITE the gameplay.

You're better off waiting for a new Fallout game developed by someone else.
