it was planned to be localized but was cancelled because namco couldn't get the original english VAs. that's why the english dub of the vesperia movie has a different voice actor for rita.

Hopefully it becomes playable in the PS3 emu soon. Then anyone can use the fan translation.

I just beat the 360 version of this in January. Did I really miss out on anything important? (pirate lolis aren't important)

The PlayStation 3 version of the game features full voice acting which is almost double the size of the script in the original 360 version. The game also features various new characters such as Flynn as a fully customizable, permanent playable character as well as Patty Fleur, a young girl with blond hair, who is an entirely new playable character. The game also features several unplayable characters from Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike which the game ties-in with.

In addition, Repede, Flynn, and Patty are selectable as on-screen avatars with new mini-games such as a racing mini-game for Repede. New subplots, skits and main game quests as well as side quests have been added. The game also has new songs added to the game's soundtrack together with remodeled towns and new towns and dungeons. The game also includes new bosses such as the Sword Dancer from previous Tales games, Don Whitehorse and Clint/Tison/Nan, players are also able to replay boss fights at Nam Cobanda Isle. A new EX dungeon was introduced as well.

In addition there are also new gameplay elements such as higher Overlimit Levels up to 8, more Mystic Artes for everyone, new Artes, skills and equipments for all characters. A new key item has also been added called the "Artes Ball" which allows an additional 8 Artes Shorcuts to be assigned to the previous 8 slots combined with the L1 button, which allows for a maximum of 16 Artes. The game also features a wide variety of new character costumes which include cameo costumes based on characters from previous Tales games, as well as costumes based on characters from other series, such as Xenosaga and Sgt. Frog. Also included is a scene-skip feature, a Team Arena in the Coliseum which also has new battles and modes. More Grade Shop features have been added for New Game +.

You can also downgrade a current firmware PS3, but you would need a hardware mod.

That was a fun time to be around the Tales community. I was one of the ones that was down foe whatever so either way I was coming up aces, so seeing all the people having meltdowns was hilarious.

Matt Mercer is also a hotshot now making better money with non-dub roles. Any decent dub actor with a good head on their shoulder should move on to better work after a few years.

CFW can be used for piracy, homebrew, emulators, whatever. If you can get your hands on a E3 flasher, you can downgrade a older model PS3 yourself easily for less than $100.

Hm, that all sounds great, but overall, getting a whole new ps3 just for that is just a big pain in the arse, same with playing an untranslated version on my regular ps3. Probably the biggest things there I would have wanted on 360 were Overlimit level 8, 16 arte slots, scene-skip, and Flynn as a permanent party member (I liked the small section where you could play as him on 360) Not too bent out of shape over the previous game fanservice stuff, as this was my first Tales game. I managed to do all the secret missions so I probably wouldn't replay the bosses. Maybe someday, I'll play this version, the 360 version was great, and this just sounds greater.

Blazblue's voice actors got changed a few times between games, for better or worse. The most notable changes were Hazama, Bang, and Rachel, with the former two unfortunately have worse actors in the later installments.

You're right, he's doing the MC in Titanfall 2, McCree in Overwatch, Robin in Arkham Knight, etc., but at the same time, Matthew Mercer is a huge fucking geek who once made a live action Smash Bros. web series, and relishes in getting to voice Jotaro Kujo from JJBA.

I think it's worth paying attention to where he goes in the next few years, since he has a good hero voice and Troy Baker is taking up more time-demanding stuff like Last of Us 2 with its mocapping.
