I'm a big Mass Effect fan, put thousands of hours into the series, and thousands more into KOTOR, Dragon Age, etc. I'm a bioware fan by all means, but that also means I know the games well, and with that said I DO highly recommend this game. You'll see people posting about bad facial movements but I only see the same 5 gifs, and as someone who has put 30something hours into the game so far I've been pretty thrilled with it.

It sort of feels like Mass Effect 1 with it's spacey blue filter and very sci-fish feel had a baby with Dragon age: Inquisition in the sense that the worlds are really big and free reign, and the loot and quests just sort of fall in your lap as you explore, with characters in hidden areas you might never meet until your 2nd playthrough because you missed them. Sprinkle in some Mass Effect 3-tier 3rd persona action on steroids and that's pretty much the game. I would give it like an 8.5/10 so far, it's really not bad. Don't fall for the reddit-tier babbys bitching about Sara Ryders face, who the hell plays as the chick anyways? So yeah, I highly recommend it.

Yeah it's a shit meme, like 2 years ago or whatever when Inquisition came out I didn't even buy it because all I saw was Sup Forums shitting all over it for muh-SJW reasons, and of course I didn't buy it like the strong, independent savior of mankind like I was. Then I realized I'm missing out on a whole video game from my favorite company because a couple literal fags were shoe horned into the game, big whoop. That guy Iron Bull turned out to be bro-tier and the elf dyke, well I never even found her or made her a squad made lel. The game was actually pretty damn good. I just felt like a loser for not playing it so I could deprive Bioware of their much needed $60 and impress some neckbeards. Makes me cringe.

Honestly, no. It's tainted. Just went back to no man's sky - which I was stupid enough to buy - and yeah they added a lot of stuff, the game engine itself is not bad, etc., but still doesn't feel good because of all that happened. It's like you're constantly on guard, notice every little error etc. I think the same would be true for this game (unfortunately).

4 hours into the game. These are the worst things.

>Character creation is abysmal. Seriously it is horrible. X-COM 2 has better customization than this. It makes Fallout 4 look amazing.
>eyes on your character and NPCs never stop looking creepy or stoned.
>Your character isn't bothered by their father's death. You literally get over it in about 5 seconds.
>space travel is a chore. In the previous game you could quickly scan an entire system in seconds because you would just zoom in and out.
>In Andromeda you have a 10 second unskippable cutscene to travel to a new system and another 10 second cutscene when you travelt TO ANY PLANET IN THE SYSTEM.

This bothers me so much! So much of the fun of the original games was setting up these amazing combos using your squads powers, but now you have no control and they use it randomly.

It turns the combat into a clusterfuck.

PS4 copy is already below $50 on Newegg. Just going to wait it out. Not giving fucking Bioshit $60 for this fucking thing.
