After getting one of these things, I now what to play every game on this

Too bad that will never happen.

Not likely to happen. Although playing Dark Souls on the Switch would be neat

I feel the same way about the Switch. I want to play every game on it now. Being able to take it out of the dock and play it on my bed is a really nice option.

Same here. I'll definitely be getting all the indie releases I'd normally buy on PC on this.

I'm not sure about every game, but every non-fps and non-graphically intensive game.

I'll pay the switch tax if it means being able to take most of my games on the go like this.

Same, having a portable version is pretty great.

>tfw want to say the same but don't want to sound like a shill

Hardware wise its about as perfect as it can be in my opinion (assuming any obvious improvements would increase the price, OLED and such)

It's just an awesome system, everything the Vita should have been and more.

How long til it's hacked, and we can just move stuff over for free?

>tfw want to say the same but don't want to sound like a shill
>worrying what people on Sup Forums will think of you

lol

Never ever

I agree
Used the portable version way too much in the past few days, it's brilliant. I love the system

I didn't notice how long it takes the battery to die out but hopefully someone gets a pack that replaces it like they did with the 3DS

Not gonna lie, having the ability to switch between TV mode and portable mode is actually one of the greatest innovations in gaming history.

Hopefully never, filthy pirate.

I believe recent Ringed City DLC footage was provided via a Switch.

It was an error from gamespot? At least that's what the general impression was.

Yes, but they could have forgotten that they weren't allowed to show it yet.

I mean, that's highly unlikely, since that would mean DS3 is nearly finished for the Switch, but still.

I mean, FromSoftware IS comfirmed to be working on something for the NS. But why would a media outlet even know that without any leaks? Seems more like a mistake. I'm not saying is impossible though.

The indies we know are coming so far are great.
Hollow Knight, Battle Chef Brigade, War Groove, Hawaii Shakedown, overcooked, Towerfall, and Enter The Gungeon. God, this will be the console to get me into indies.

Whatever it is, I can't wait for it.

The main issue right now is that the system can't be more powerful because of battery constraints, cooling efficiency, and cost of manufacturing new powerful mobile technology. People who complain about power are obviously discounting the portable form factor, which is a major selling point, whether or not they spend most of their time at home.

I believe that in 3-4 years, the Pascal chip Nvidia's making may become financially viable to produce on a commercial scale for portable devices, and in that period of time we (may) have a battery breakthrough. If we do, the next Nintendo Switch refresh will probably be within half a year to a year of those two conditions being fulfilled. Otherwise, we may have to deal with an upgrade of the dock for power boosts instead, which would be disappointing.

It was a mistake, but Fromsoft straight up said that they got Dark Souls 3 running on a Switch at "acceptable" levels. That problably means "Bloodborne on launch day" performance levels, but it's completely doable for them to port DS1 and 2 over without downgrading and probably port over DS3 with some graphical downgrades.

Whether or not they do so is a separate matter.

I'm like 90% positive they issued a statement saying it was just an accident but don't quote me on that.

I think user meant they were excited for the confirmed Switch title Fromsoft was working on.

>I want to play games in 720p and 30fps with a bunch of dips bellow 20
Top kek

>remaking DS1 for the switch

it won't happen and now I'm depressed

"MANUFACTURING VARIATION"

LOL

THERES NO COMING BACK FROM THIS
LITERAL "FAKE NEWS" SPIN FROM NINTENDO

Regardless of what it actually is, assuming they have any actual reason to lie about it, they're fixing it for free.

really what we need is a battery breakthrough. the switch can get all the more powerful it needs, but that doesn't matter if the battery only lasts 20 minutes.

There's also the problem with heat dissipation and manufacturing costs. Stacking these issues on top of each other, nobody's going to buy a portable that lasts 1 hour, costs $500, and gets hotter than 100 degrees celcius.

That's 30fps and 720p more pixels than your ps4 gets when it's unplugged.

Also FOAD troll.

so something like 10% of first batch of joycons won't work more than 20 feet from a switch or behind your back unless you mail them in for free return OR simply stick a capacitive piece of foam in there yourself in a DIY that takes like 5 minutes
and no further switches will have this problem

what a catastrophe /s

fast RMX plays at 1080p 60 fps
horizon zero dawn plays at 1080p (checkerboxed up to 4k LOL) 30 fps with dips below 20

Bloodstained too

They changed out the board too user, they serial numbers are different. It was a manufacturing problem.

And honestly, it's closer to being ~3-5% of left joycons having this issue max.
