Okay, I'm finally to the point where I can go after the divine beasts. Which order should I do it in?
Okay, I'm finally to the point where I can go after the divine beasts. Which order should I do it in?
I don't know about you, but I made a beeline for Death Mountain first. I wanted to knock all that fire/lava bullshit out of the way asap.
Zora, Gorron, Rito, Gerudo
easiest to hardest in my opinion
1. Zora
2. Goron
-Master Sword
3. Rito
4. Gerudo
-Ganon
Just skip em all, go straight to castle and do boss gauntlet ganon
do rito first because it's the most disappointing
Is my armor tab large enough to accommodate every armor set? Or will I be forced to pick and choose what sets are worth my time?
I went Zora, Gerudo, Rito, Goron. You dn't need any resistance to do Zora, and Gerudo has jewelry that provide for Rito. Goron for last.
Personally I did zora, gerudo, rito, gorron. None of the beasts themselves are that much harder than the others but the annoying part can be just getting there, like dealing with the heat of death mountain
I just did them in the order from what region was least aesthetically pleasing to me, to the most.
1. Goron
2. Gerudo
3. Zora
4. Rito
You can carry all clothes, its just weapons, bows and shields that are limited
Rito is the quickest/easiest and has the most useful champion ability.
Prepared and cooked meals are actually limited
Okay great, I can live with that. Fate of Hyrule be damned, I want ALL the fashion options
I would assume there are enough slots for one of each set, barring duplicates.
I'm doing this order by chance. I came across the Zora in the tower, so did that first. Then decided Death Mountain next since my wanderings got me close. I'm loving taking my time and exploring. Been playing since the day it came out (obviously with days between for work/travel) and have been wandering, doing temples and just seeing what I can find. I don't want to do the beasts and just blow through the main story yet.
Rito first because easiest dungeon, easiest boss, and probably the best ability to move around.
depends. Some autistic people think the abilities break the game, specifically ravioli ritoboloney's super jump. I personally loved that thing, fuck trying to climb some smallish mountains or cliffs in the rain, so I did rito first.
speaking of rain do zoras second or first so it rains less
they're all easy don't worry about hearts/armor/weapons
It's Zelda dude there's no difficulty, it doesn't matter what order you do it in, you can even just take ganon on early.
Honestly, I'd tackle Death Mountain or Gerudo Desert first, if I were you. The desert is a tad annoying, so you might want to knock the headache out first. Or go to Death Mountain since that prepares you for every other region and gets you rich quick.
Any suggestions for getting rich quick? I've been getting by selling whatever gemstones I happen to come across but it'd be nice to have something more reliable.
It really doesn't matter, just do what you want. I went to Goron first, then Gerudo.
...
Do the bowling mini game until you're rich. Google "BotW Rupee farming"
Or as another user mentioned, you can walk away from the Goron quest with a lot of cash.
How the fuck do I kill guardians?
Bowling Minigame in the top left? part of the map
Hunt any animal with your bow and cook the meat, you can sell them for 150-300 and its not like its hard to find things to kill
whittle away at them while all your equipment breaks, or get ancient arrows
Rito, Zora, Goron, Gerudo.
Rito is near-universally considered the weakest, so there's nowhere but up.
There's a YouTube video about getting 20,000 rupees an hour in BoTW. It's basically playing the bowling game in the snowy mountains - you get 300 rupees when you get a strike - it's really easy when you know how to line up your aim properly - this is my go to for when I need to make loads of money now. Like 10,000 rupees for the fairy.
It can be a bit tedious / boring to do the minigame repeatedly but it's worth it
You're about to feel really stupid if you've been playing for awhile and just running from them.
1. Get a shield
2. Learn how to perfect guard and reflect laser back at them
3. ????
4. Profit.
I learned that in the first hour of the game.
The immobile ones die in one hit, the moving ones take three.
Reflect their laser with your shield
I watched someone do Gerudo first and then they fucked up the zora boss with the lightning ability in the second dungeon
I've managed to kill a few like that myself, though I still don't quite understand WHEN I'm supposed to be parrying- just seems like dumb luck that I actually did.
I just got to Goron Village.
Did Zora first, then finished Gerudo.
I'm saving Rito for last, fuck that pompous narcissistic bully bird, he can wait.
If you choose not to deflect their lasers, there is another way. Lead them to close-quarters. Hack away at their legs one by one. If they aim a laser at you, shoot the eye. When all the legs are gone, hit it until it dies.
At their natural firing distance you can parry right after the light flashes.
I thought this was interesting, but I'm reading some Japanese blogs that are looking at name puns. All the Sheikah are named after fruits.
インパ (Inpa/Impa) from パイン (Pain/Pine) - Impa
パーヤ (Pāya/Paya) from パパイヤ (Papaiya/Papaya) - Paya
ココナ (Kokona/Koko) from ココナッツ (Kokonattsu/Coconut) - Cocona
プリコ (Puriko/Cottla) from アプリコット (Apurikotto/Apricot) - Prico
オリベー (Oribē/Ollie) from オリーブ (Orību/Olive) - Olivé
シトラ (Shitora/Trissa) from シトラス (Shitorasu/Citrus) - Citra
ボガード (Bogādo/Cado) from アボカド (Abokado/Avocado) - Vogardo
セローラ (Serōra/Rola) from アセロラ (Aserora/Acerola) - Cerohla
ドゥラン (Duran/Dorian) fromドリアン (Dorian/Durian) - Duran
バナンナ (Bananna/Nanna) from バナナ (Banana) - Bannana
ラズリ (Razuri/Lasli) from ラズベリー (Razuberī/Raspberry) - Rasri
クラリ (Kurari/Claree) from クランベリー (Kuranberī/Cranberry) - Crari
ゴスティン (Gosutin/Steen) from マンゴスチン (Mangosuchin/Mangosteen) - Gosten
メロ (Mero/Mellie) fromメロン (Meron/Melon) - Melo
プルア (Purua/Purah) from アップル (Appuru/Apple) - Plea
ロベリー (Roberī/Robbie) from ストロベリー (Sutoroberī/Strawberry) - Rawberry
チェリー (Cherī/Cherry) from チェリー (Cherī/Cherry) - Cherry
Impa and Purah work together as Pineapple.
Only name I don't know yet is ナーキン (Nākin) - Olkin.
THIS!!!!
Literally every new player spends the first quarter of the game running from them because they don't know how to kill them, but then feel like dumb asses once they realized that you can kill the fuckers right out of the gate with a move they teach you in the beginning of the game so long as you have a shield and can time it right.
There is a visual tell. In mid-range you're supposed to parry when the circle starts expanding immediately after they shoot. For close/long range give or take 5-10 frames. Its very easy once you get used to the timing.
1. Reflect lasers with shield
2. Ancient arrows
3. Slice off their legs to immobilize them so they are easy pickings with headshots
4. Submerge them in water long enough like so they self-destruct
Bird -> Elephant -> Camel -> Salamander
It's both the order from most boring to least boring, and also most useful ability early on to least useful.
What do I cook for higher level cold resistance?
Do the Shrine monks have a similar naming scheme?
5 of the same cold resistant ingredient, the rarer the better.
Fuck, meant to reply to
Ok so just like cook a shitton of those ice shrooms? I tried doing things with ice keese wings but didn't get anything above low resist.
Parrying is impossible.
Do you want cold resist or heat resist? Because cold stuff is used to make heat resist food and hot items vice versa.
I haven't seen anything for the shrine monks yet, but
Gerudo = cosmetic items
Goron = construction items
Rito = meat
Zora = musical terms
Korok = plant seeds
Hylian (adults) = trees
Hylian (children) = grass
Hylian (Lurelin) = marine products
Some of the examples given in the blog.
アイシャ (Aisha) comes from アイシャドー (Aishadō/Eyeshadow)
ブルドー (Burudō/Bludo) comes from ブルドーザー (Burudōzā/Bulldozer)
lel sorry I confused myself
but anyway I don't remember getting high level cold resistance from cooking 5 peppers
The guy that told you that cooking 5 of the same items is half right. Yes, the morning works the same items you use the better but they only give you the same level stats but for a longer time. You need higher quality cold resist items like sun shrooms or warm darners to get high level stats boosts.

Does anyone know where Robbie's son Grande is?
Finish Tarrey Town and he'll move in
Master Sword get buff while you're fighting against them.
I think I read somewhere that there are 60 armor spaces, and there are 61 pieces of non-amiibo exclusive armor.
Guardian weapons and the master sword penetrate through Guardian armor and do not break as easily against them. Of course if you're trying to clobber one with a bone club you're gonna have a problem.
Sell monster parts. You'll have so many of them that getting 3000+ Rupees in one sale is easy.
If you continually shoot arrows at their eye, they won't be able to attack you. Just slash at them a bunch and occasionally shoot an arrow to stop them from charging the laser.
Mark Talus locations and farm them every bloodmoon. There's a rare ore deposit Talus in a meteor crater near the Rito tower, just set your Sheikah radar to rare ore deposits and you'll find him (and a couple other rare ore deposits along the way, which you can also mark on your map for easy farming). I've been drowning in ore ever since I realized I could simply set my Sheikah sensor to rare ore deposits. Also if you want to maximize the money you make from selling ore, go do the Goron main quest and a Gerudo in Goron City will start buying bulks of 10 ores for more than the market price.
