It really does though. But I guess it's true for every Diablo clone.
>it gets good after 12 hours
> it is now a subtle kobayashi thread
>The postgame is the meat of the game
Every Disgaea ever. Love it though.
...
>Early game
>many skills, general fun while linking some support gems
>Late game
>one skill, supported by 5 gems with white t-shirt as armor, doing random maps where you can die from one attack
Yeah it gets "better"
>that game is shit, I think I will drop it
>how long did you played it?
>10 hours
>It gets good after 20 hours
>I played it for 40 hours and it's still shit
>you already have played it for 40 hours, if it was shit you wouldn't have played it for 40 hours
>it gets good after 500 mods
>the sequel is good
>you need to play the first game in order to understand the plot of the sequel
>It gets good after you go through 8 endings and they all have the same areas, same enemies and same bosses
>S-Shut the fuck up Nier is a masterpiece reeeeeeeeeeeeeee
>Subtle
Legit question, is there a degree where this kind of thought is acceptable? Like, instead of "it gets good after ___", instead it's more of "it has a slow start, after four hours it starts to pick up the pace"?
post mod list. not even gonna cop it, just genuinely curious
>if it's so bad, how did you play it for 20 hours?
It's like they don't understand completionism/the sunken cost fallacy. I guess they don't remember all the shitty movies they stuck with to the end just because they had already watched half of it
you really really suck.
Literally you only have to "replay" one section once and it has different gameplay, majorly different story parts in certain sections, new plot revelations, sets up the other half of the game, new sidequests that weren't previously available, and you can breeze through it easily if you just want to get to the next part of the game
This type of thing only happens literally once yet shitposters like you want to blow it out of proportion and act like it does this multiple times
wut game? Looks dank as hell
It's a fun RPG
>Kojima games
>Amazing writing and direction, game flows naturally with several hours of amazing story and gameplay that fucks with your mind
>Taro games
>Shit wannabe writing and direction, game flows unnaturally because of endings breaking up the flow and gameplay sucks
What is this expression meant to convey?
>its great once you get past the voice acting, writing, controls, and combat
Skyrim
What's going on?
It looks like those gentlemen are going to spend a pleasant evening with that innocent girl.
>turn skyrim into dark souls
if it played like DaS apart from imitating the HUD, these mods could make Skyrim playable
That's fucking Skyrim
If a game has a kinda shitty prologue but picks up after it and becomes amazing it's acceptable
It shouldn't be viewed as not a flaw but bashing the entire game for it isn't really fair
A game should give you a grasp of what it's like within the first few hours at least though so you know whether you'll like it or not
Kingdom hearts 2 does a good job at this imo
I have 526 in my MO priority list. It would take several screen caps.
This video isn't mine.

It isn't 500 but this is the same argument I see in every single S.T.A.L.K.E.R. circlejerk thread
>late game
>white tshirt
If you're using a Tabula Rasa in lategame you are fucking terrible. Tabulas are used for levelling, not lategame content.
>It gets worse after 6 hours
Fucking Brutal Legend
It actually does play somewhat like Dark Souls. There's time dodging and no more hit tracking. There's lock-on and even basic attacks eat stamina. Dodging eats stamina too.
>Literally you only have to "replay" one section once and it has different gameplay,
It's the exact same areas except for a few differences in the 9S and A2 parts. Largely the same areas however and even then the 9S and A2 parts share a lot. The gameplay is again, largely the same combo button masher shit that somehow manages to be worse than DMC.
>majorly different story parts in certain sections
The only big difference is in the last two parts and again like above they share interconnectivity. 2B and 9S parts are identical with miniscule differences and A2 and 9S parts are identical with miniscule differences.
>new plot revelations
>sets up the other half of the game
Woooo
>new sidequests that weren't previously available
You mean the tedious shit that barely offers anything of relevance to the plot or lore of the game or its predecessor?
>and you can breeze through it easily if you just want to get to the next part of the game
Still a waste of time.
Lucoa is a fertility goddess.
You work it out.
both are pretentious and over the top
and I love the shit out of both
>It actually does
Trying to fix Skyrim's combat is a waste of time.
Excitement at the prospect of breaking the pelvises of two unsuspecting victims.
>several hours of amazing story
>gameplay that fucks with your mind
Kojima can be praised for a lot of things but none of what you listed are one of them
Taro games have good lore and realistic motivations for characters that make it compelling
Other than drakengard and the original nier, automata has some of the greatest gameplay for an arpg and splits its sections into a way that make it easier to digest it all
>It takes 6 hours to get good
No shit, huh.
Is it worth trying out?
If so, mind giving the name?
Wanted to get back into skyrim and play the DLC, but never got around to it.
True. Nier is shit and Tarofags are worse.
It's almost like Kojima has a sliver of intelligence and tries to push storytelling in videogames as a medium whereas Taro is a bargain bin memester. That's also why Sony is throwing millions of dollars at Kojima to make a game with Mads forbandede Mikkelsen whereas Taro gets... Nobody lol.
Most turn-based RPG's
Fighting games except change 6 hours to 20
Monster Hunters
Man it sounds like this game just isn't for you
I platinumed it and never got frustrated over anything you listed
leaked footage of bloodborne 2
>it gets good after 18 years
timed dodging*
Why
Only if you're prepared to suffer through countless hours modding the game. It requires a combination of several mods to get it like Dark Souls.
>Its good after X hours
This is definitely of ARPGS like Diablo and thats why I hate them all except Nioh because you can play it like a straight up action game from beginning to end in normal mode without caring about loot and beat it just fine.
Time to watch Tarocucks refute none of the points and instead call you a shitposter lul
would fuck the one on the right
>it's good once you get good
>Why
Because it's impossible, no matter how many mods you use it's never gonna be good.
I tried the Souls combat meme and it wasn't half as good as the actual thing.
Better than
>it gets old after 6 hours
Oh, fuck that noise then - thought it was one mod.
That was one intense brap
Games that get more fun as you get better at them are the best though, prove me wrong.
It's the same with learning most worthwhile skills (not saying vidya is worthwhile).
The difference is Souls doesn't have the same level of modding and isn't really open world like Skyrim is. Once you've done all the content in a Souls game you've seen everything it has to offer. The modding that comes with Skyrim offers infinite new content and fine tuning so long as people are willing to develop it.
That's the appeal for me at least.
...
>watch Kobayashi with really low expectations
>wind up actually liking it a lot
>like it so much I read the manga too
>Kanna shows up
>Kanna is cute
>5head girl gets introduced
>any scene with kana and her now includes shitloads of loli groping
>they appear together at least twice per episode
>mfw
shit's gross, I really wanna like this show too because everyone else is great, especially fafnir and his boy
god I hope Iruru doesn't appear
>play old dog because you liked one character.
>Have to play 12 hours of bullshit to get to them
Star Ocean games always do this to me.
So if i leave the game running for 6 hours it'll get good? Great!
Different guy but I have already spent countless hours trying to mod the game into something enjoyable, yet even though after installing hundreds of mods the game works but still just isn't different enough from the vanilla game and still has the flaws I'm trying to mod away
If you could screencap your full modlist I am fully prepared to autismally spend several days installing them all
>several days
you mean months
Anime-only pleb here, is Iruru a flat-chested girl? Pretty sure she appeared in the next episode announcement.
Sure, months then
Not like I have anything else to do, being a NEET and all
>Playing receiver the first time
>Manually putting ammo inside magazine
>Manually operating a gun
Nope. Biggest tities of them all and she's a loli. Shorter than Kanna and doesn't even have real hands.
Iruru is an evil Kanna with tits bigger than Lucoa.
>game is literally all about the end game
>can take 12~ hours to get there if you rush
>you have to start a new character to try out different builds
>It never gets good.
Liars told me this one was actually decent. Could have started Trials of Sky SC sooner.
That wasn't me. I forgot Mod Organizer stored the mod lists in a notepad file too.
The only problem is that it would take me several posts to post it all.
>it gets good after school
Have fun with your snoozefest gamepay.
Pastebin?
Sorry if I'm being annoying or something, I just finally see Skyrim modded into something enjoyable for the first time after failing to do it myself after so many tries.
>new multiplayer game
>fun for a while
>meta starts creeping up
>feel constrained by cookie-cutter expectations
>can't even be bothered turning it on anymore
What's her name, Sup Forums? Sup Forums?
Challenge: Name an absolutely amazing game with an absolutely horrible tutorial/first level
>it's goty all years on your second playthrough
Payday 2, Overwatch
I agree but at the same time it didn't bother me the first time and I was on my only playthrough of Hardcore.
mediafire.com
Keep in mind some of this is custom stuff and that even my mod set up isn't finished. These screenshots are just from me testing things out to fine tune everything.
+ means the mod is active
- means the mod is inactive
Fucking this. The game would have been solid if it was just Jack Black's crazy metal adventure instead of the shitty RTS it turned into after a couple hours.
> He doesn't slow-roast his video games in an oven the day before playing them.
To be fair, this is actually true sometimes when you have games like Smash Bros Melee where you can do this to unlock Mewtwo.
>It gets bad after 10 hours
MY REFUND!
her explaining how her hands worked was one of the funniest things in the manga
I get that, I'm the same way, but most people don't have the determination to do that. I've completed countless games I wasn't even into just so I could get the full experience.
On Sup Forums it's always:
>this game sucked
>did you beat the whole thing?
>no
>then you can't talk about it
or
>this game sucked
>did you beat the whole thing
>yes
>then you must have "secretly", "unconsciously" liked it
Thanks a lot, I know now how I'm gonna spend my weekend.
>it flip flops good and bad every other hour
I'm one of the only people on earth who legitimately enjoyed the RTS aspects of Brutal Legend. Once you got into a good flow it basically became a 50/50 split of hacknslash and rts management.
The 3 class system becomes a lot more fun when you can use them for online as well. Tainted Coil online matchmaking for days, son.
As a heads up
This
>+CITRUS Heads HD Meshes - Version BUBBLEGUM
I'm not using, even though it has a + sign next to it. The BSA archive is disabled in the archives tab in Mod Organizer.
I'm hope you're ready to suffer.
All multiplayer games, cause I play them alone.
more giantess pics when, bryn
That's true yeah, I tried introducing my friends to ARPG's but they all stopped playing them because they couldn't get the first few boring hours.
>buy MH3U for the Wii U for 50 euros
>play it couple hours gathering and killing small monsters
>"Wow this is shit"
>Drop it for a year
>Finally get back to it after seeing people post about it so much
>Get to Great Jaggi
>Finally see the truth
And now I have over 1000 hours combined in the series
>It gets good once you hit max level
When I finally get to start my new play through of the game.
>it gets good after 70 hours
>Kojima
>Amazing writing
Pick one, Kojima's style of writing is the one of a horny 12 year old that read a Tom Clancy novel once and thinks he's an expert in global politics now.
>Gameplay that fucks with your Mind
I wouldn't call horrible controls mind fucking but okay.
sadly this falls in the case.
I would still recommend it to everyone, the series went to shit after it but it's still one of the only open world masterpieces the industry produced.
Be honest people, how far did you get in Final Fantasy XIII before you put it down? I've never in my whole life played such a promising yet repetitive and linear game ever. I think I got maybe 10-15 hours.
