None, I imagine. Those who played theirs had it RROD and those who didn't turned 360 degrees and walked away a long time ago.
I still have a launch Xbox the only non original part of it is the hard rive that I took off a elite
Mine does!!! and so do my friends'!
yes it does. never gave me issues.
Mine collects dust. So it works as a dust collector.
I still have my Elite
I did get RROD'd about 2-3 years in,
but shipped it off to get repaired and it's been trusty for gaming ever since
Still use it to this day, hard to believe it'll be 10 years old this christmas
Everyone I know that had one would constantly trade it in for a new Limited Edition console. First it was Halo 3, then it was the Elite (the early matte black one), then there was CoD, then the shiny elites, then the shiny Elite that had the Star Wars stickers on everything.
I never knew anyone that didn't constantly trade their console in. Meanwhile, my launch PS3 is the only PS3 that I've ever owned.
daily reminder that the free repairs was peter moores idea and in order for everyone to get free repairs based peter moore demanded 1.15 billion dollars from steve ballmer
I got one back in 2007. Fucking broke like 2 years later. Bought another one and the disc tray won't open and it keeps making loud noises and shit. It's been collecting dust in my basement. Doubt it still works, the things were designed like shit.
i used to mod and repair these fuckers for mad bux, i've got six dead ones in my garage, fuck this
What the fuck was Sega thinking with the DC controller? Cord out the bottom? Memory cards that require watch batteries?
It's the worst 1st party controller ever made.
Mine does, was playing Samurai Warriors 2 Empires on it the other day. Never had any issues with it.
what does that have to do with anything?
I got one from early 2006 that I still use quite regularly actually
I was sitting bricks early on when I heard they could RROD and I spent all my money on it after leaving school
The replacement I got still works but the one I originally had red ringed after like 4 months. What a fucking garbage console.
is it safe to buy an elite?
Moore always reminded me of Satan. That's the smile of a serial killer.
Its the controller he's holding in
Yeah, it was the first two years or so of the original white console that had major problems. The black Elites can RROD but it's nowhere near as rampant as the launch 360s.
Mine still works. The laser lens in DVD drive died after 4 or 5 years of use so I had to replace it and never bothered to assemble everything back completely. Gave it to my little nephew after and he still plays GTA4 and shit on it.
yeah but this is a thread about the 360
Yes. But someone posted a picture of a guy holding a DC controller, so while tangential, its not entirely unrelated.
dc controller was great btw
I got mine in 2010 after I got a job, the 60 gig hdd started getting noisy in 2013 after thousands of hours up time.
I swapped it out for a 250 gig hard drive and never had a problem since.
My original xbox I got used in 2005 and it ran like a champ until I sold it in 2015.
I don't understand how you could possibly come to that conclusion, considering that the Xbox brand took that basic design and improved it in every way possible.
My Dad's does, but I did have to get mine switched out.
just because they improved the original design that doesnt make the original design shit. the dreamcast controller is comfy
Except that it was indisputably shit. Cord out the bottom, only a single joystick, only 2 triggers, 2 save slots despite the fact that you only need one per controller, and the gamepad exposed the LCD of the gamesave card.
How is any of that "good," especially when considering the DS2 and the GC controller was its competition?
>Cord out the bottom,
theres a grove at the back, you clearly have never owned one
>only a single joystick
dual joystick controllers werent standard yet
>only 2 triggers
i see no flaw in this
>2 save slots despite the fact that you only need one per controller
how is this a negative????????????? where would you put the microphone or the rumble pack? do you even own a dreamcast bro?
> gamepad exposed the LCD of the gamesave card.
thats literally the best part
i see zero flaws with the dreamcast controller.
How do you walk away after turning 360 degrees?
Bought my 360 in 2005 on launch day.
RRoD after 6 months while i was playing Oblivion.
Sent it in and they fixed it, but after 2 years the disc drive crapped out and that was it.
First and last time a console ever failed me. What a piece of garbage.
>theres a grove at the back, you clearly have never owned one
I'm aware. And I have. What's your point? It winds up eating up, what, 4 inches of the cord to get it to face out the top, which should have been done to begin with.
>dual joystick controllers werent standard yet
Funny how the DS1 had them as of 1997. GC controller, while releasing after the DC, had them as well. How Sega didn't see how good of an idea that was is beyond me.
>i see no flaw in this
The fact that you dont, but that Sony, Xbox, and even Nintendo (eventually) did, is more evidence that its a poor decision.
>how is this a negative????????????? where would you put the microphone or the rumble pack? do you even own a dreamcast bro?
I do. Never had the microphone or the rumble pack, and I don't know of anyone who did.
>thats literally the best part
Oh, so you're of the mentality that its acceptable to expose your gamesave card to catastrophic danger at the absolute weakest part of the device itself all so you can see a cartoon chao bouncing around that you are ignoring while playing the game? Yeah. Great design choice. Right up there with the light bar on the DS4 that the player can't even see (hold your breath to see if that shit sticks around now that motion gaming is all but completely dead).
post a pic of your dreamcast
I'm at work. Gimme a sec to get the wife to snap a pic of it on my bookshelf.
thats what i thought, dumb faggot
>no timestamp
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA BTFO!!! THE DREAMCAST IS THE GREATEST CONSOLE OF ALL TIME
That work?
nope clearly fake and gay btw
>anime picture
>wants me to believe this numale Sup Forumsirgin has a wife
BAHAHAHAJAJAJAJJAJAJAJA
I have jtaged falcon. It died once and I had to spend 50$ to fix it, but works fine now.
Still got mine at home, I just play skate 3 with friends in it sometimes
I don't really care if you believe I have a wife or not. I posted the proof you were asking for. Believe it, or don't. At this point, it's really not worth continuing the argument, as my points stood on their own regardless of the pics I use for my friends and family.
Mine still works, but I bought it really late into the lifecycle so it's an improved revision and it hasn't seen as much use.
Either way I have a spare one.
you do the michael
lol i dont know whats going on but
>wife
>anime picture
bahahahaha. thats fucking funny. you guys are ugly sacks
