Now that they have KOTOR mode, yeah it kind of is.

Playthrough the Jedi and Sith Warrior stories.

The gameplay is like sloppy and badly done Warcraft. But the stories are actually okay.

They tuned it so that you don't have to do anything other than the main story quests with faster leveled.

The F2P part is a lie. They lock so much shit behind pay gates for people not subbed. They even lock off part of the UI unless you pay for it. Yes, thats right, if you don't pay for it, you only get access to 1 of the 6 hotkey bars.

Some class storylines are interesting, like Sith Warrior and Imperial Agent, but otherwise it's another terrible Everquest clone MMO.
If you like WoW, you'll probably love SWTOR gameplay.

Uh what? It had one of the worst moments of railroading when a companion betrays you and you can't kill him or kick him out.
Darth Baras was a shit villain and even though you have a connection to the emperor nothing changes in KOTFE.
It doesn't help that you advance too quickly through the ranks like all the other classes.

No. But free to play is free to play. You have nothing to lose by scratching that itch. You'll get sick of the game well before hitting the paywall and you'll have lost nothing.

The imperial agent story is worth playing.
A big part of the story is cleaning up the sith lord mess, it gives you some idea on how an empire can function despite being lead by a bunch of comic book tier vilians
