Why do people pretend ecelebs help sell games?
Why do people pretend ecelebs help sell games?
>people like to see other people playing screamer games than playing them
Lol at that image. Someone probably got assblasted by a Let's Player
Otherwise they have no leg to stand on when Nintendo tells them to pony up part of the ad revenue.
>w-we're the reason Mario is successful!
People watch the LP so they don't actually have to play it
What's so hard to understand
>People watch the LP so they don't actually have to play it
pretty much.
are there really people who exist in reality that make the claim the OP assets there are people around to make? who aren't just trolling?
Just like many believe that torrants = actual sales lost.
>are there really people who exist in reality that make the claim the OP assets there are people around to make?
Can you repeat the question?
>People watch the LP so they don't actually have to play it
I would say people watch because they like the person playing. The game being played is mostly irrelevant.
Battle Royale games are popular because of streamers.
True, this is why Im glad ATLUS stepped in to ban persona 5 streamers.
Well, sometimes games do matter, though it's not usually the case with low quality shirt point-and-click adventures like shit in the OP, most of the FNAF clones don't sell well at all. If there is some kind of replayability or multiplayer capacity then it's worth it, but most of the greenlight trash doesn't have it, sadly.
They buy games that would actually be fun to play.
Normally when im interested in a game ill watch streamers play it for a bit before deciding if i want to buy or not. Squad was the most recent example and im very happy with my purchase
what is dayz
what is h1z1
what is shattered skies
what is playeruknowns battlegrounds
fuck off
...
What are terrible games?
because they don't want to admit they are lazy fucks that can't even play games that require that little energy to play.
that has nothing to do with the point he made you faggot
almost like it's a popular subject
He made a point?
This
...
>E-celebs generally have few or no skills and low IQ
>Their sense of self importance is tied to their views / audience
>Their audience is generally dumber or at least more easily influenced than the e-celeb
>They say stupid shit and their fanbase repeats it
They want to claim a link between themselves and what they talk about when they're just vainglorious fanboys at best, pure shills at worst.
If they can tell people something enough times and seem genuine people will repeat it until it is accepted as true.
because they to if your game is not shit
Ecelebs =/= let's players.
If you watch a let's play there's less incentive to buy the game but if someone like Dunkey, Jerma or old Ster makes a 10 min video on a game and praise it I'm sure it'll help with some sales.
>Why do people pretend ecelebs help sell games?
Because they do.
Your image relates to a game that people saw but that had terrible gameplay/content, hence no sales.
It's sonybros butthurt all the relevant/popular games are pc exclusives. This accusation never happens with the latest CoD or Fifa.
Yes, in the OP. If it wasn't him then his comment is irrelevant to the topic anyway.
JUST
you know nothing about this industry
I literally don't know any of those games though
Streaming is bad for sales. It ruins the mystery of a game contents, which makes people less likely to buy it.
>Amnesia
>Not shit
That's a good thing, only scams and rip offs need to be kept secret
On the other hand, garbage shovelware like the one in OP can more easily be discarded
>le spoopy scarry walking simulator doesn't sell
Wanna know how I know you made one and it didn't sell like Five gays at Freedies
Why are people who try to prove a point on Sup Forums so fucking retarded? You're saying a game that isn't played by ecelebs selling more than a game that is means it has no effect on sales? How do you know how many copies the game played by ecelebs would have sold if it wasn't for the ecelebs? Could it not have been that it is simply a poor game that would have otherwise sold even more poorly if it wasn't for the extra exposure? How can you say for sure when there are clearly other factors in play?
I bet you felt so fucking smart after compiling that unsubstantial bullshit. Next time try to bring a more compelling set of facts and evidence before making a fucktarded post.
...
>cucked and will end up alone forever
truly one of us
It can be either really. I'm watching the tbfp yakuza 0 lp despite playing the game myself, I mainly want to see their reactions to sub stories. They already lost their shit at mister shakedown.
I'd like to imagine, in practice, games that have little money for marketing would do better if someone was lp'ing. Games like Indy shit and low budget triple a, if such thing even exist. But again, that's in practice. Honestly, word of mouth is all you need, but that highly depends if the games is actually good. I think this was the case for Automata, to a certain degree.
>truly one of us
Hey don't put me into the same boat as all these cucks and other idiots
Those games only sold 20,000+ because of LPs though.
