Joycons last 20 hours on one charge

>joycons last 20 hours on one charge
>Nintendo releases a giant AA battery pack

for what purpose?

i want there to be a headphone jack

but there wont be

Money

Emergency recharge if one of the Joycon is outta jews.

Duh.

The same reason the Switch exists, to sell shit to idiots.

For a grip. Duh, you guys don't even use your brains, do you?

I remember there was a time Nintendo didn't believe in add ons and accessories and insisted that they didn't sell.

>con
>jews

I really made myself think.

>You can't even have it attached to the switch
I would have assumed it's main purpose would have been extending the life of the console itself but nope

When was this?

When was that, exactly?

>joycons last 20 hours
>Joycons with all their random bullshit like HD rumble and mini Wiimote plus stuff last more than twice as long as a PS4 controller

You're stupid as fuck if you think that was ever the case.
>FDS
>R.O.B.
>Zapper
>Super Scope
>N64 Rumble/Expansion Pak

I think the PS4's battery life gets really fucked by the light and the always-on touchpad.

>joycons last 20 hours
>console itself last 2 hours
>we'd better release battery pack for joycons
I don't even

Well you remember wrong.
Nintendo always had a thing for shit overpriced accessory.

It lasts 2 and a half, and that's while playing the more intense 3D games like Zelda. 2D shit like PuyoTet will probably last a good 4 or 5 hours.

I think it's probably going to be more pleasurable when I shove it up my ass and use it as a vibrator.

They look like they'd be more comfortable, though

I was just wondering if they had rumble. That's a huge deal for a portable, honestly. Too bad the console's battery is so poor, I'm sure people will turn it off just like they did with 3D on that other system

guy the battery is not that bad as some people make it out to be
you can go about 2 hours on a single charge, i bet even further if you use the pro controller

....The joycons already rumble. Do you not have a switch m80?

The joycons don't drain the console battery that much

console charges joy cons when its in portable mode, until like 50% battery

maybe that's why they're doing these battery packs

exactly, external means it should last even longer in theory

You mean the last 4 years of the Wii U and nothing else?

>dying from competition with smartphones
>release a mobile device that needs to be connected to a smartphone to go online

they want to die

Why would you need charged joycons without console?

You can't extend the battery of a modern console with AA batteries

The Pro controller lasts 40 hours

what?

My switch has wireless m8

its optional

Well, duh. You just stuck two joycons to each other. It's simple arithmetic.

I'm pretty sure he means sharing your phone's internet connect over wifi with the Switch when you're out somewhere.

i meant the separate controller you can buy

Weren't people complaining that you couldn't charge the joycons without having them plugged to the system?
Though this seems to be a portable-friendly solution and a stationary-unfriendly one. A charging dock for multiple ones would be less portable but a lot more useful

Because people wouldnt stop bitching about the charging grip not being included

Cheer up pusser

oh well thats dumb to want switch's to have simcard ports just for internet.

What next? a phone? OH WAIT, you have a phone already on you...............

Why do you need them to release a battery pack for a standard USB C device?

I would have bought a grip that has an headphone jack, no reason for extra batteries when the things last like two days for me and I can recharge them overnight anyway.

I don't use the grip, i wouldn't use a charging grip.
these thicker grips with extra power in seem cool coz i keep my switch docked when at home

People are complaining about extra stuff

Not to mention that nobody cared about the 3G Vita

Didn't you have to pay for a internet plan with Verizon or some shit? I got the wifi one cause I don't play my handheld in public like an autistic sperg.

AT&T, and yes, that's how 3G internet works. You pay plans.

Why would you want a headphone jack in your joycons? They don't get any sound.

The battery pack will be good with people who have hands larger than those of an Asian child. Shame they'll be overpriced like everything else for the Switch.

Why do you need a headphone jack when the console itself has one?

Not him, but if I wanted to listen to the game audio even if I was playing on a television. Asking for a headphone cord that fucking long is insane.

How far away do you sit from your console?

>>console itself last 2 hours
It lasts 3 hours on full strain

>having ogre-sized hands
Sucks to be you, famalam

>console charges joy cons when its in portable mode, until like 50% battery
>maybe that's why they're doing these battery packs

This man might be on to something...

>20
>twice as long as a PS4 controller

People WISH you could get 10 hours out of the DS4, it's literally 4-6.

>being a handlet
I'm so sorry.

Not really. The controllers last literally 10 times more than the console.

Is this the worst pad ever ?
Yes it is.

w-women love smaller hands

good luck with your clumsy out of proportion gorilla haha

>next to no people complaining about the Switch in that respect
>Either everyone has handlets or you just have giant hands

hm...

Problem is, you can't attach the joycons to anything while using the battery packs.

I want to hear the icecubes

i wonder if it has enough dimension to add a controller feel. i got some grips with my case and it does feel better. expensive way to do it but atleast it adds some value

>literally smaller and thinner than the micro
>implying nobody complains about the joycon size

Causes problems with though preventing it from the time you would want it most

The dualshock 4 honestly has a battery as bad as the fucking wii u gamepad, and even then at least the gamepad had a long 2 meter charger cable whilst sony give you tiny USB cables a couple inches long.

At least Sony lets you use any USB cable out of the box. The Wii U makes you sacrifice a wall outlet.

No user. If you are playing on handheld mode, there's LITERALLY no way for the joycons to lose charge before the console does.

True, although I always have a spare outlet anyway

>but sony

The NES sold with a shit ton of add ons

Maybe this charges the console too? That would actually be dope

You can't connect anything to the joycons while using the battery pack.

Not an argument

That's retarded

If it's in portable mode, it should reserve the energy to itself, not the controllers with the 20 hour life span

He's shitposting you idiot

They've completely lost their fucking mind
If this increased the battery life of the handheld mode, I'd completely understand it, but the joy-cons? What the fuck are they thinking

lol

How does this console not have backup functionality? Consoles from last generation did.

Everything in that picture is either a bundled peripheral that came with the system or a 3rd party product.

The Advantage, Four Score, and Max weren't bundled with the console and were first party.

So you can beat every game on the Switch in one sitting.

They are bluetooth, so they could have sound

sofa....2m....tv

...

Why would you not already have wireless headphones if you normally play with headphones from that distance?

xbox has headphone jack on controller
ps4 has headphone jack on controller

I'm going to buy more headphones just for the switch? that i need to charge up all the time?

eeew no Thanks, my headphones that i use on my phone work perfectly fine
also you clearly don't have a switch, having the console on a table infront of you and the joycons in your hands, the cord gets in the way

I have all of my sound going through my PC because I don't play on a TV across the room anymore.

The fact that they didn't make the charging grip come with the system is incredibly greedy/dumb. I think we're past using AA batteries by now.

can't use these extra batts while attached to console
>nintendumb

gotta accessorize
because their profit margins aren't high enough yet.
